  1. Change Holdings area to match Items

    Editing Holdings requires knowing all of the codes for your institution's locations and libraries. If the Holdings area were more like the Items area then the choices for locations and libraries would be on pull down menus. A History tab similar to the one on the Items screen would also be helpful.

  2. Allow bulk assigning of invoices

    Currently you have to go through invoices individually and assign them to yourself or to someone else. A bulk assign option would save a lot of time and make processing much easier.

  3. Change the pick up location when an item is "On Hold Shelf"

    When an item is "On hold shelf" (in a library A), by clicking on "Edit", we can change (only in Alma fortunately) the pick up location (to the library B for example).

    It's a good option, useful when a user has made a mistake and would like to change the pick up location.
    In Alma, currently, when you use this option (so edit > change the pick up location", there is no notification to the library A (livrary A have to send the book to library B).

  4. BIBFRAME support for UNIMARC

    Currently, Alma can expose bib records in Linked Data in BIBFRAME format, but for MARC21 records only. I ask to develop the support for UNIMARC too, in order to expose UNIMARC records in BIBFRAME format through APIs, Publishing and the Alma Resource management UI.

  5. SRU/SRW: Increase the 10,000 record retrieval limit

    The usefulness of the SRU service is reduced substantially by the 10,000 record limit.

    If removing the limit is not an option, it would still help a lot if the limit could be increased to, say, 100,000.

    My use case is that I'm using the SRU service in combination with the Bibs API to do batch processing of catalog records.

  6. Provide authority control for terms in 3XX fields.

    Terms in fields 380, 382, 385 and 386 should be matched to authority records based on the $2 code and an icon placed next to the field when the terms have been verified.

    It is confusing for staff if a user is blocked but the block doesn't show on the user details screen, only via Manage Patron Services.

  8. Add Renewal Amount to Terms of Use

    In the TOU, there is a Maximum Renewal option but this still does not let us configure the amount of times they can renew an item. A solid TOU that gave an exact amount value of they amount of times they could renew would be wonderful.

  9. Allow Users to lock preferred panel position for user details and summary panel

    Currently the location of the summary panel for record views and patron details alternates between the right side of the page and the top of the page depending on window size.     Sometimes even minimal changes to the window size causes this rotation. It would be nice if users could choose to lock the location of these panels to their preference, regardless of window size. This helps with consistency in documentation for manuals, as well as provides consistency in location if information when working on different computers.

  10. Add Circulation History Log to Alma as Patron History in Patron Records

    Staff would benefit from having a circulation history log, as in Aleph, to track transactions much easier. That would greatly assist us in billing, since we do it manually. It is also useful for resolving patron issues with fines and fees issues, as well as overdue fines. It could be included as patron history on patron records. We used the log for handling a number of issues.

  11. More than one work order type per Word Order Department

    In our library, one physical location in the library handles many processes. However, we still want patrons to see a different status for each kind of work order. Right now, only one work order type (the source of the Primo Statuse) can be associated with any given work order department (the currently at location.) So, in order for our patrons to be able to tell the difference between an item at the bindery and an item being repaired in house (with their corresponding turn around time) our staff has to switch currently at locations when they switch tasks.   12. Allow data from the POL notes to inform/be inherited by the portfolio notes.

    Our Acquisitions process currently allows for receiving e-book purchase option information (platform and use model) from a vendor via POL notes. We would like this information to be inherited by the e-inventory in the notes field of the portfolio. There is currently no way to get that information out of the POL, and it is needed in the porfolio to streamline workflows.

  13. Defer PO Lines with Acquisition Method "Purchase at vendor system"

    The documentation on Deferring PO Lines clearly states that "you can defer any PO line except those with the Acquisition method of Approval plan or Purchase at vendor system" (https://knowledge.exlibrisgroup.com/Alma/Product_Documentation/010Alma_Online_Help_(English)/020Acquisitions/050Deferrals/010Deferring_PO_Line_Workflow).

    We would like to be able to defer PO lines with the Acquisition method of Purchase at vendor system. We have many PO lines with this Acquisition method that are only paid every few years, i.e. 5-year hosting fees. The ability to defer PO lines with this Acquisition method would allow us to clear encumbrances for the unaffected years and release those funds for other uses.

  14. Asterisk search with special character in Alma

    Currently, Asterisk search with special character in Alma is not supported in ALma.
    It would be very useful if Asterisk search with special character is supported in Alma Search.
    For example, for cataloging work, Asterisk search of call number can helps librarian to determine if there is an duplicate call number. Also it can help to determine the call number following up.
    But for call numbers that contains special characters, the Asterisk search is not supported and can not work as expected.

  15. Option to receive from items list

    Please make it an option to receive an issue, without having to navigate away to the specific "Receiving" page, if you are looking at it on an items list. Often I'll be working on items and notice that one of them is not received when it should be, but I can't change that without interrupting my workflow or opening a new window.

  16. The text font ,font size and color of Metadata Editor

    1.When using Metadata Editor, the font size and color of the editing area are not friendly to the editor.

    2.The text in the editing area needs to be enlarged by 150% in the browser to make it convenient for users to work for a long time

    3.The text color or font in the editing area causes the black text to look like gray, which makes it inconvenient to check the bibliography

  17. Automatic Designated Copy ID Number Added to New Item Records

    I would like the ability to set an automatic copy ID number to designate that the item is a copy "1," instead of having to put the "1" in the copy ID field every time I add an item. Of course I would also need to have the ability to easily change the automatic "1" another copy ID number if I have a 2nd, 3rd, 4th, etc. Voyager had this ability, which saves time when processing a large number of books.   18. Allow Alma to allow renewals if a certain number of copies are "In Place"

    We circulate short loan laptops and equipment but have a threshold that needs to be in stock before we will manually renew for users. As a result, we need to mediate renewals. It would be great if Alma could do this automatically so we could allow self-renewals of short loan equipment.

    At the October 2018 release the following change was made "Social Network Sharing Buttons Added To Alma Digital Viewers". Now it would be a good idea to add the option to generate a "short url" for the records, since it generates a very long url for services such as twitter for example.

  20. Network Zone Advanced search should allow a search for "Held By"

    The ability to quickly run a repository search for an institution or institutions holdings as well as when "Held by" is Null in the Network Zone would be extremely useful for weeding and Network Zone Clean-up.

    Currently, the NZ does not have the ability to search using "Held by". To gather information for specific Institutions or when "Held by" is null requires an analytics report or exporting sets, which are limited to approximately 100K results.
