An error occurred while saving the comment Beth Juhl commentedWe could use this, too. Trying to extract data for a library migrating out of our Alma system and having to reconfigure each time for a new set is really tedious.

An error occurred while saving the comment Beth Juhl commentedthis is a solution we would like to see. I'm out of votes but would +3 if I could.

An error occurred while saving the comment Beth Juhl commentedI'm out of votes but would vote for this if I could. We are trying to use an Analytics query to manage user roles and without this read-only flag it is really hard to work from a dynamic report without looking each person up / maintaining external spreadsheets.

An error occurred while saving the comment Beth Juhl commentedThis would be so helpful - patrons do not understand why bulk requesting is not available. Imagine the papers of John Quincy Adams - that's dozens of volumes and the patron had to request them one-by-one.

An error occurred while saving the comment Beth Juhl commentedWe would very much like to restrict the display of the Purchase request based on resource type. We've postponed turning on this functionality until we can suppress display for journal articles.

An error occurred while saving the comment Beth Juhl commentedHi Alexis - there is a collection in both 360 KB and in Alma CZ for Women Writers Online (EJJ in 360; Collection ID: 613780000000001230 in Alma) - were you wanting indexing in CDI beyond the book title level?

An error occurred while saving the comment Beth Juhl commentedHi Suzanne - are you looking for chapter-level metadata (CDI) or title-level? Is there a specific publisher of ebooks that you cannot find in 360 so the results are included in your Summon?

This is to update that this is planned to be covered in the new engagement Analytics platform which we are currently developing.
More details on the "Engagement Analytics" can be found here -
An error occurred while saving the comment Beth Juhl commentedAs we are just entering our second year on Primo VE, it would be great to have data about the validity of choices we have made about certain custom search slots and profiles. Heartily endorse this idea and was surprised the functionality was not there already.

An error occurred while saving the comment Beth Juhl commentedConsidering that we start renewal of the annual certificate 6 weeks early (because, you know, the whole idea of expiring makes me nervous !) when and if we come to 90 days certs I'll almost be starting those new cert ticket processes before we complete the current one! Fully support this idea.

An error occurred while saving the comment Beth Juhl commentedWe use an Analytics report to get all roles and assignees but it does not grab scopes / desks / parameters. That would be really helpful.

Hi,
The login for an account that is managed in an external IdP (such as a Shibboleth IdP), is done by the IdP and not by Alma. Alma does not control the success of this type of login.
Alma does control the login status if the user record is internal, i.e. its password is managed in Alma. In that case, we will indeed allow the login to succeed even if the user is expired.
The user record status will be verified when calculating:
- GetIt services (hold/digitization/resource sharing)
- My Account renew loan option
In either case, the account will be considered active only if:
- The user record status is active
- The user record expiry date is not in the past
- The user’s patron role is active
- The user’s patron role’s expiry date is not in the past
The login, however, will not be affected by these conditions.
Thank you,
MosheAn error occurred while saving the comment Beth Juhl commentedWe use SAML authentication but if the Alma user account is past the expiration date, the authenticated user is just passed back to Primo VE with a message "The login process has failed. Please refer to the library for assistance." We'd really prefer that users can still log in after their expiration date for al the reasons given by others. If their university account is still active, they should be able to see their library account.

An error occurred while saving the comment Beth Juhl commentedThanks, Christina, for surfacing this issue. We also make frequent use of "test access" but don't want to deny our patrons the functionality of direct linking.

An error occurred while saving the comment Beth Juhl commentedWe only recently migrated to Alma / Primo and are very much missing this functionality. The ability to share a dynamic, curated list of links is important to our librarians and our instructors.

An error occurred while saving the comment Beth Juhl commentedThis happened to us during implementation -so easy to unintentionally break integrations on both production and sandbox. Considering how other Alma processes give adequate warning and require confirmation, this is an accident waiting to happen.

I'm out of votes, Karen - but would welcome this functionality. We try to do this a bit by pushing publisher interfaces to the top but in some cases that backfires.
