History of loan facet addition
Any request regardless of status can move to the overdue status. At this point, staff or sets can no longer differentiate between items that have been loaned or not. This makes it impossible to distinguish through sets which items are ready to pull from our hold shelves (a separate workflow from local hold pulls) because they've never been checked out and have now reached their due date and are ready to be returned to their partners.
We would appreciate if the facets would include the option to show items that have been loaned but may currently be in a different…

Improve multivolume parser functionality
In February 2026, we submitted a support ticket regarding Rapido requests that we received from other institutions for multiple volumes in a series. We owned only one of the volumes; therefore, only one of the requests should have come to us. In addition, Rapido seemingly picked random barcodes from our holdings to send to Caiasoft (our remote storage management system), even for the volume that we own.
After a lengthy investigation, Support responded: "The issue is that the request data contains an errant comma in the Volume field....It looks like the problem [the Multivolume Parser] ran into was that the…

Local due date not synced with system updates
When patron account expirations are updated across the system, Rapido loan due dates are not updated. Physical loans received can have a due date later than the expiration dates, and currently staff need to manually update due dates after the system updates. This leads to patron confusion about due dates, and added staff hours. We'd propose a change that allows Rapido loan due dates to be correctly attributed when patron accounts are renewed.

Add additional parameters to a "send borrower document delivery rules" in RAPIDO
We would like some additional parameters added to the Send borrower document delivery rules in RAPIDO. The user group, stat category and partner is not sufficient. We would like to see Label = and request note contains to the list of options as this would catch new users submitting requests for OCR in the notes.

Lending search
In the Lending interface for Rapido, it defaults to "Author" search. Is there any way to change this to "Title" and make it "sticky"? Ideally, it would be per user but if not possible, per institution would be fine too.

Differentiate Rapido Physical Offer, Location of Partner, and Lend/Borrow Transaction Date-Range
We need to reconcile our charges for outgoing mail--of both lent (supplied) and borrowed (returned) by fiscal year (i.e. date-range), and I am not able to find a way to discern what was shipped, what was not, what was sent by courier (=no postage required), and what was sent via U.S. Mail.
If there's a way to do this that I'm not seeing in Analytics, I'm happy to learn more. I've been looking in Analytics, and have also looked at available filters in the Rapido interface and am seeing no possibility of filtering to include or exclude a specific date-range.

Sort by due date
Currently in borrowing requests we can sort by creation date, update date, last interest date, and title. In lending requests we can sort by those as well shelving location. In both areas, we would like to be able to sort by due date.
This would allow us to create sets that will help us manage both loaned books as well as books still on the hold shelf as we approach the end of spring term. Many of our students leave for the summer with books still checked out that our due while they're in some random place, or with books…

Note to Patron for Digital Local Upload
It would often be helpful to include a note to the patron when filling local, digital borrowing requests. This would allow us to provide further context or resources about an uploaded file or link to the patron when filling requests with owned materials through the local fill process.
For instance, for owned digital materials, we would like to paste the permalink for the digital holding in the catalog into the URL field and use this as an opportunity to educate the patron on how to access the material themselves instead of uploading the file we own directly to them. However,…

Expand more fields to input ILL code for book chapter lending
We currently use autoholding for Wiley UBCM trials and purchased titles in a single E-collection, "Wiley Online Library - Autoholding Books." This workflow worked well until our Library implemented ebook chapter inter-library loan (ILL) for Wiley purchased titles using Rapido. Due to Alma’s technical limitation, we need to add an ILL code to the internal description of E-collections that allow ILL, which cannot be done in our current setup. Therefore, we plan to separate Wiley UBCM trials and purchased titles into two different E-collections.
We request an enhancement to Alma to include more fields for ILL codes, ideally at the…

Create a way of marking borrowing requests visually for Staff Attention
Sometimes we receive borrowing requests that need special staff attention when the item is received or returned. Examples include:
When the other library is sending an invoice inside the item we are receiving
When the other library requests special handling in the use of the loaned item
When an item needs to be returned in special packaging or with insurance
When an item needs to be returned with accompanying IFLA vouchers
When an item has loose pieces which need to be checked for upon receipt or before return
When the item received in a request did not come from the…

Print each volume’s individual barcode on its hold slip “Resource Request Slip Letter”
When receiving a multivolume set on a single Rapido request, each volume gets its own individual temporary barcode. However, when printing hold slips (“Resource Request Slip Letter”), each volume’s hold slip prints with the barcode of the first volume that’s scanned into the request. This is a problem because libraries place their barcodes in different places on the book, so inevitably our circulation student staff will use the barcode on the hold slip to check out the book that they just took off the hold shelf instead of hunting for the barcode on the book. Why wouldn’t they? The slip…

Show original source of GTI records
Our patrons can find some pretty unique items through the GTI records in Primo, especially as more libraries place archival records in their catalogs. However, they expect to be able to request these items via interlibrary loan, and without any way to tell whose catalog the record originated from we are having trouble finding items which are listed in the GTI but not listed in OCLC’s Worldcat. We would like the original source of GTI records to be accessible to resource sharing staff on the backend. If there are more than three sources for a given record, only three can…

Support file exchange via Odyssey
While we are able to send and receive files with other Alma, Rapido, and RapidILL libraries via RapidX, the resource sharing world is much larger than these three systems. While ExLibris talks about supporting interoperability, we are not yet able to receive files using the file sharing method dominant among our peers, even though its platform is open source. Odyssey is a major player in the library secure file exchange world, and while we stress to our partners that they need to send non-returnables to us via other methods, often folks forget, deliver via Odyssey, and assume the request is…

Book strap generation
Hello,
We manually create book bands that go around the front cover of our incoming borrowed Rapido books. The strap has information like, due date, pick up location, etc. It would be great if Rapido had an option to generate a book strap with custom fields that can be enabled depending on what information each library likes on their book strap.1 vote -
Daily per user limit on Rapido borrowing requests
Rapido mediation rules currently allow institutions to set the maximum number of requests per user within a certain number of months.
An additional improvement would be to expand the mediation rules to allow institutions a maximum number of requests per user per day(s). This functionality would support the workflows of departments with limited staff to process the needs of a larger user population.
Current functionality is insufficient or overly cumbersome. For instance, copyright rules allow institutions to set a maximum number of requests per user for a specific resource, but this only resets at the start of each calendar year.…

In Rapido Primo profile, filter out full text resources provided by our library.
When our patrons link to our Rapido Primo profile, the results include full-text resources provided by our library. This is confusing to our patrons. This should only include resources that can be requested from other libraries.

Allow changes to Rapido expected delivery date
While most Rapido digital requests are delivered within 24 hours, we experienced cases in which this was not true. Patrons come to expect this rapidity and are disappointed when the article arrives after more than one day.
If we could alter the expected delivery date (not just the hours label), it would be helpful. Even if most requests are received within 24 hours, changing patrons' expectations would be helpful.
Thank you for considering this idea!

Accessibility Needs Field for PDF Requests in Rapido
Overview
This proposal recommends enhancing Rapido request forms within Alma/Primo to allow patrons to indicate accessibility requirements for PDF document delivery at the point of request. Capturing this information upstream enables resource sharing staff to proactively produce accessible documents, aligning workflows with current accessibility standards and regulatory requirements.
FOR FULL PROPOSAL SEE ATTACHED DOCUMENTProposed Solution
Introduce a configurable field within Rapido request forms labeled "Accessibility Needs".
Option 1: New Dedicated Field
• Add an optional checkbox or dropdown field:
o "I require an accessible PDF"
• When selected, display a conditional message:
o "Accessible PDFs require additional processing and…44 votes -
Attempt to balance loaning and borrowing within a pod
We recently joined, and then 3 months later withdrew from, the US Pod. We were lending twice as many books as we were borrowing, and since it's reciprocal, it was a net cost for us when you include the shipping costs. We would want to join again, if there was a load balancing function that reprioritized lenders based on who was a net lender vs a net borrower. It would not need to be perfectly equal; maybe a quarterly review and adjustment. The current load balancing as I understand it only balances per day, which was not working for us.…
