We would like the ability to display the "Release Date", i.e. the date that the embargo on an asset was lifted, in the public research portal. We would like for the embargo release date to display in the asset details for both assets that are currently embargoed and assets who's embargo has lifted.
We think it would be helpful to have an indication in the public asset metadata that the asset was embargoed at some point. This would be helpful for researchers, and also (especially for ETDs) for the asset's author to understand when the asset became available.2 votes
It would be helpful to include a "show all" button in the asset list of the researcher profiles, in order to show all projects/assets on one page.1 vote
The search routine in esploro should have the same functions like it is available for Primo --> auto autocomplete or "did you mean?"
Would be a great improvement.1 vote
Currently the Portal shows both affiliated and non-affiliated persons together in the 'Author/Creator' facet on the results page. The suggestion here is that this facet should show only affiliated persons. The purpose of the portal is to reflect institutional work, and this would clarify that the portal user is filtering to affiliated persons. This would also reduce the potential for duplication of names (e.g. where a non-affiliated person was imported as two different persons).
For example, please see: https://scholarlyworks.adelphi.edu/discovery/search?query=any,contains,%22Adelphi%27s%20Celebration%20of%20Scholarly%20Research%20%26%20Creative%20Works%202021%22&tab=Research&search_scope=Research&sortby=title&vid=01ADELPHI_INST:ResearchRepository&offset=0
(where Barbara Milrod and Barbara L Milrod currently appear as separate persons due to multiple non-affiliated person imports)1 vote
