Improve Grant discovery in Research Portal
We want to work with our Grants Office to track funding acquired by researchers. However, the only way to access grant information is through individual researcher profiles. I believe we can publish Analytics reports for grants to a public webpage in the meantime, but it would be nice to link grants to specific researcher profiles since we are already tracking this information.
Enhancement request: Add the ability to view Grants in the Esploro interface. This might include 1) a tab for Grants that shows a results page for grants, linked to Researcher profiles, with limiters for Org Unit, Grant Category, and Funding Agency, 2) grants should also be searchable in the main search box.

Thank you for this idea. We understand the request to expand Grant discovery in the portal yet we do not have a confirmed timeline for this, I am keeping this idea open to allow for more votes in the meantime.

Here are additional suggestions for improving grants display and discovery in Esploro:
GRANT DISPLAYS IN PROFILES - Change grant display to show the following:
- Title of Grant - this currently shows a link to the grant URL, if available, but it currently shows as link even if none exists. This should be fixed.
- Funding Amount - this is not currently visible but should be visible by default, with an option to hide the grant amount in the admin form
- Grant Recipients (list all, ideally with link to Research Profiles)
- Grant Description field - this should be included in profiles
- Currently, only ACTIVE grants are visible in profile. ALL grants should be visible in profile whether they are active or not. We have to workaround this issue and make all grants as ACTIVE in order for this to work now.MAIN SEARCH
- include Grants in main search or as a separate searchDEDICATED GRANT PAGE
Create dedicated grant page that can optionally appear in header, footer, and homepage that includes the following
- Chart of total grants by year and amount
- Chart of total grants by funder
- List of grants received for a given time period -

Can I suggest that if you are improving the grant discovery, you also improve the grant functionality (e.g. this Ideas Exchange idea about internal /external grants: https://ideas.exlibrisgroup.com/forums/929326-esploro/suggestions/44502921-ability-to-flag-external-and-internally-managed-gr)
We have examples where a researcher is a co-investigator on a grant but that grant is 'owned' by another institution so would like to be able to add all grants awarded to our researchers, but differentiate those that are not primarily affiliated with our institution.
Happy to provide examples if needed.
