send eMail for logged in users only
Currently, Primo can be used to send spam via the sendTo in the details tab. Anyone can send a message to everyone. Sending E-Mail should be possible for loggedIn users only. Indeed, there is a google reCaptcha service, but activating it is yet not acceptable due to data protection policy issues of many universities.
Hi,
This is planned to be developed in the Primo New Discovery Experience (NDE).
Best regards,
Yael.

+1 - at very least logged in users should be spared the captcha, even if it remains for guest users

This rather old idea is still a very good one. reCaptcha is annoying and has issues with privacy policies. Forcing a registration for this feature would make the option safer without the need of any reCaptcha step.

@ExLibris: while you're working on it: sending an email via the email icon should trigger a confirmation message.

This is still troublesome.
Currently our Primo Instance allows anyone to anonymously send a reference to anyone else, and a logged in user to anonymously send a reference and a message to anyone else.
To prevent abuse both of the following steps need to be taken by Ex Libris:
1. Trigger a login if a user that is not logged in clicks the share by E-mail button.
2. Use the logged in users e-mail address in the From field of the sent e-mail.
