Display Waiting for Approval Copyright Status in Citations
When viewing a citation in Leganto that is awaiting copyright approval, the status is not visible in the list or brief view. Users must open the full details and navigate to the item actions tab to see this information. Additionally, if a citation is incomplete, it shows as ‘Library is processing,’ which only reflects the citation status, not the copyright status.
Please add a visible indicator in the list and brief view of citations to show the ‘Copyright is waiting for approval’ status. The status should also be available as a filter in the list.

Better layout for ‘Ask your library to create your list’ on the quick start screen
Libraries can display the “Ask your library to create your list” option on the quick start screen. We think it would be great if this option would be displayed in the same layout as the options “Create new list” and “Select existing list” in a box with title, image, description, and button.

Leganto UI: Remove the Full Details link to simplify interface options
There are four different places that staff can click on a citation to view, add or edit information which is unnecessarily confusing.
Suggestion: Remove the full details link as this pane can also be opened by clicking on the availability info. This would leave three distinct options for viewing and editing citation information:
- Clicking on the citation allows notes and tags to be added and digitisation requests to be placed.
- Clicking on the availability info gives full detail about holdings/links
- Clicking on edit allows the staff member to edit the item details

Link to citations from 'all titles' search display
When doing a titles search on Alma, there's no way to immediately tell if a record appears on a Leganto list. Could there be a title information option called 'Citations' with a number that links to a citations search for that MMS ID? Similar to how 'Orders' appears.

Displaying Edition Information in Alma Reading Lists
Currently, book citations in Alma reading lists display only basic bibliographic details: title, ISBN, and subject. It would be very helpful to have a field for book edition information as well.

Bulk Update for reading list sections
It would be useful if we could run a bulk update job on certain sections - for example if we need to re-name them, add a description, or remove them.
A use case for this is that we have sections on many reading lists naming a certain supplier of eTextbooks, and we would like to change this to just 'Digital Textbook' and be vendor-neutral. This will have to be done manually for 630 lists and it would be much better to do it in one job.

Leganto Questions: add an option to configure optional note fields
When adding answers to a Leganto question, it is possible to include a free text field in which additional information can be added. If such a free text field is configured, it becomes automatically mandatory. We have use cases in which we would need an optional note field, so that the instructor can decide if it is necessary to provide more information. Therefore, we would appreciate if a configuration option would be added in the Item Request Answer table which would allow the library to set the free text field optional or mandatory.

"Demand in other lists" should be visible in Leganto
"Demand in other lists" is a useful tool for librarians in Alma.
Some librarians work a lot in Leganto. It would make sense that users with librarian roles can see directly in Leganto which books are demanded in other lists, and which ones.13 votes -
Configuration option to automatically remove tags depending on the citation status
Some tags in Leganto are only used to trigger or label library workflows, e.g. purchase requests and digitization. If a citation with such a tag is set to complete, the workflow is also completed, and the tag is therefore no longer required. At the moment, these tags can only be removed manually. We would like to have the option to configure that such tags are automatically removed when the citation is set to ‘Complete’ or another citation status defined by the library.

The possibility of adding and removing tags in bulk from a citation result search
In Alma> citation search:
Sometimes you have several citations that need to have added or removed the same tag. Now, you need to open every single citation or run a job.

Preserve Scroll Position After Bulk Actions
When performing bulk actions on the citations list (e.g., selecting multiple citations and updating their status via the Citation Status menu), the page currently refreshes and automatically scrolls back to the top of the list. This forces users to manually find their previous position, which slows down workflows, especially when reviewing long lists.
Proposed Improvement:-
Implement a method to preserve the user’s scroll position after bulk actions. Possible approaches include
-Maintaining scroll position after the list refreshes.

Whilst it is great to have the new "Leganto identify deleted eresources" job as a tool to highlight such deletes, the report should detail provider information from where the resource has been deleted and if the citation possesses any other inventory. At the moment, this report details:
- citation tile
- portfolio ID (which is no longer relevant as it will have been deleted once the report is generated)
- course code
- reading list ID
- reading list name

Allow option to add 'Open Access' indicator to citations in bulk job
As of 2026, visual icons have been introduced as options in Leganto citations to indicate Open Access and/or Open Educational Resources. This idea focuses on the Open Access indicator specifically.
This OA icon can be added manually when editing an individual citation, by ticking a box. Also, in cases where we have an OA resource in Primo and the familiar open padlock icon is present on the record, this icon will now display automatically on reading list citations to show it is Open Access, if cited via our collections since the recent introduction of the indicator. View lists assigned to me in Leganto
When viewing lists in Leganto, it would be beneficial for library staff to easily see all the lists assigned to them in Alma along with an indicator or filter for lists that are incomplete. Currently, library staff see lists where they are the owner/collaborator, lists they've added to 'My lists' or they can search 'All lists', yet there is no way to know which lists have been assigned to them in Alma (nor which lists require attention). Process and enrich citations job - additional field required
We have run the Process and Enrich citations job very occasionally to pick up URLs which may have changed but the resulting file always needs a huge amount of work because it includes loads of historical data. It would be much more useful if it included the field "Publication list visibility", so that we could filter to discover just those citations which are currently visible to our students.

Digitisation Approved Alert for Instructors
Feedback from Instructors has been that they would like an alert when a digitisation has been approved/goes live on the list (in our case, from a sync with the DCS). This would both enable instructors to know when the digitisation has gone live, and also enable them to query with the library when they have not received an alert (i.e. that the digitisation hasn't been made, or has been rejected). Alerts would ideally appear as one of the alert option dropdowns in the Leganto interface.

Ability to edit/streamline clipboard Leganto Task List
The current Leganto Task List includes items that are not tasks - they are completed. We'd like to be able to config/edit this display so that only actual tasks ie. 'processing' and 'ready for processing' are displayed.

Improve privacy of cookies
The Leganto teacher/student-facing interface currently uses OneTrust to request both Performance Cookies(1) and Targeting Cookies(2). Cookies default to 'on' unless the user clicks six different links / tabs / toggles / buttons to change this.
Please remove all the Targeting Cookie functionality. Your advertising partners should not have access to our students' use of reading lists in order to learn about their interests and advertise to them. This is unacceptable.
Please set Performance Cookies to default to 'off'. (I know OneTrust can do this because this is how cookies behave on the ProQuest Support site.)

Archive courses that share reading lists when all courses are included in a Course Bulk Update job
When archiving courses using the Course Bulk Update job, the job fails if a course shares a reading list with another course. The course receives the error:
"Course cannot be archived because it has unarchived reading lists which are linked to other courses."
This is appropriate when the other associated course is not included in the set used for the job. However, it also occurs when all courses that share the reading list are included in the same input set for the Course Bulk Update job.
