  1. Bulk job options to remove expired Alma user accounts from courses/reading lists

We'd like to remove expired Alma accounts from being course instructor/list owner. I picture these as parameters in the Reading List Bulk Update and Course Bulk Update jobs.

This is similar to an existing idea (https://ideas.exlibrisgroup.com/forums/395697-leganto/suggestions/46475206-improve-handling-of-expired-user-accounts-for-cour) but that one is specifically about flagging expired accounts during rollover, and we do not roll over courses and lists at Surrey.

  6. Filter to mirror Primo VE Availability facet

When a user searches via Primo VE they have the option to filter using a facet title Availability, which contains values such as "Held By Library" and "Available Online"

We would like to suggest Leganto receives similar functionality using the filter option which currently lets a user narrow down based on Section, Tag, Type and Other.

This would allow uses to easily and quickly narrow the citations on a reading list to those available online, without the need for the library to tag each citation.

  7. Add parameter "no list expected" to make sets and global changes to courses via "Course bulk update" job

A few monts ago, Alma added the option "no list expected" to the courses. This parameter can only be searched through Analytics, but we want to:
-make it available in Alma to refine searches when making sets.
-be an option to make global changes to courses in the "course bulk update" job

Example: I want to make a set with all courses that belong to an academic department and the parameter "no list expected" is unchecked.
Then, I want to make global changes to mark "no list expected" in all courses of this set.

  8. ‘Other Formats and Editions’ in student view

We would like all editions of a book to be visible to students, similar to the function ‘Other Formats and Editions’. Ideally, they would have accessible links to display these editions in our Library catalogue.

  9. Add additional text under section headings in templates in new UI

In the classic UI we created a bilingual template that included guidance notes for both instructors and students under each section heading. We would like the option to be able to create this template in the new UI, but we can only create section headings.

  12. Leganto Link Marked As Broken Letter - include reporting user metadata

It would be helpful if the user who reported a broken citation link was included in the Leganto Link Marked As Broken Letter XML. That way, we could include it in the email staff receive. It would save time and effort, compared to looking this information up in the Alma alert.

  13. More frequent notifications for Library Discussion Notes

Library Discussion Notes are a great way to communicate with faculty about the status of resources cited in reading lists. However, notifications about new notes are only delivered once per day at midnight using the detailed notifications letter. This delays response times. A more frequent schedule for Library Discussion Notes, such as hourly, would be much more efficient and useful for faculty and staff.

  14. Multi Course Export

Leganto currently allows instructors the ability to export a single class list to Excel. We’re asking for an expansion of that ability to allow librarians and/or faculty to export lists from a set of multiple classes at once.

    Use Cases:
Program Review, this would allow program chairs or deans to review materials in use across their student’s course of study. This would let them analyze their data to identify materials for update and understand when citations overlap to provide a top down view of their program.

Instructor review, this would allow instructors to easily review the citations used in their…

  15. More detailed 'Recent Changes' tab

The number of changes recorded in the Recent Changes tab is limited. We'd like to see a complete log of changes in the reading list. For example, we'd like to see if a comment in the Library Discussion has been deleted (and in what citation). Also possibly if a citation has been located to a different MMSID. In Alma and Analytics we can see the Last Modification date and Modified By, but we do not know what the modification was unless it is recorded in Recent Changes.

  16. File Upload box on Quick Start - New UI

Our instructors access from the LMS, and upon Quick Start, we only allow the options to Create from scratch or Upload a file (not to rollover). A large proportion of our instructors avail themselves of the Upload a file option.

We think the Upload a file or "Ask your library to create your list" option is greatly minimized in the New UI as compared to Classic UI, and that it would be nice for this option to have a box with an icon and button the same way the the "Create" and "Create from Existing" options currently do. We think…

  17. Allow welcome title/description on Quick Start - New UI

We think it would be useful to have the option to add a brief welcome title/description to the quick start screen in the New UI.

Our users access from the LMS and many of our instructors have found this helpful in the classic UI, since they wouldn't otherwise be sure of what Leganto is/that it communicates with the library.

The New UI quick start screen also seems to look a bit spare without it, and we are afraid new faculty might click on it and click away without interest, without an identifying welcome title.

  18. Task Widget Filtered by Processing Department

UNSW is a library with multiple processing departments and during peak Leganto processing times clicking through the Task Widget - Reading Lists/Citations to identify the workload for each dept creates an additional step in the process.

We do have the ability to filter the Reading Lists etc. by Processing Department once we have clicked on the option in the list, for e.g. Unassigned - Ready for Processing, however it would be helpful if those filters could be applied to the main menu Task Widget - Reading Lists/Citations, visible on the ALMA home page, so that only the options requiring our…

  19. Deactivate filters in “lists” area and filters related to citations inside the lists

We would like to have the possibility to deactivate filters in “lists” area and filters related to citations inside the lists.
Some of these types of filters are not relevant for us.

    For Examples:

    CITATION FILTERS:
    - DUE DATE: no due date in our workflows. Once published, lists and citations have to be always available to our patrons.
    - STATUS: citation status are related to the activities carry out by librarians, instructors don’t need to see them
    LIST FILTERS:
    - COURSE STATUS: the distinction between active and inactive course is not relevant for us
    - LIST TYPE: we automatically create…

  20. NEW UI: Deactivate the "due date" field and the “hide” check button in “Information for students” section

We want to be able to deactivate the due date field and the “hide” check button in the “Information for students” section when adding a citation using a Manual Entry or when adding a citation through the “search the library” function.
Once published, our citations must always be visible to all students. At our institution, Leganto Lists are mandatory for all our instructors because students should always have access to the lists and the ones that refer to previous academic years. If an instructor assigns a due date or hides a citation, it would be a problem for students who…
