The ability to suppress the Leganto - Import list functionality.
Dear colleagues
University of New South Wales Library is requesting the ability to suppress the ability for an instructor to select the Create list > Import list option in both the classic and new UI environments at certain times of the year.UNSW has found that our instructors after using the Import functionality are reporting issues with citation linking. Requiring Library staff to assist by rolling over lists to provide a working link resolving these issues/frustrations.
We note that other libraries have also discussed this functionality in the community communications. So, we encourage you to consider and support this option.

Hide holdings in bulk
Instructors have the option to hide physical or electronic holdings from students in a citation when the instructormanagecitationavailablelink parameter is set to true. However there is no way to do this in bulk and it makes it difficult where we have a number of reading lists with multiple citations where there's a physical and electronic holding and we want to hide one of these. It would be very helpful for this to be an option.

'Associated with Reading List' column when viewing Course list in Alma
At the moment when viewing list of courses on Alma, the only way to find out if a course has a Reading List is to use the 'Associated Lists - Exist/None' facet, or by clicking the menu button of the course and then select 'Reading List'.
It would be much more useful if there was a column that says if the course has an associated Reading List or not. Or even better - have a column to display the number of Reading Lists associated with the course.

Make new edition suggestions actionable for instructors from the detailed notification letter
There is a workflow issue for instructors starting from the detailed leganto notifications letter.
Scenario:
1. Librarian suggests a new edition for a citation in Alma
2. Instructor receives the detailed notification letter with a link to the citation view for the existing citation that now has a suggestion
3. Instructor looks around and there is nowhere to do anything about the suggestion, although they might spot the new edition tag - it does nothing when they click on it

Colour-coding on tags (especially Importance tags)
I think this is an idea floated before, but it's come up again as feedback and I would like Ideas Exchange to revisit :)
Tags are not very visually different from the general colourscheme on Leganto; this makes them harder to pick out from the rest of the citation. Additionally, we use student tags for Importance (Essential/Recommended/Further) as part of our commitment to flexible and inclusive teaching. Provide accurate Citation Type data in Purchase Requests
The purchase request records created by the new Purchase Request Workflow introduced in June 2026 include the requestor's choice of physical or electronic format. But they may not accurately reflect the choice of Citation Type made in Leganto. This is because the resulting Purchase Request has only two Citation Types: Book and Journal. If the submitted request is for one of those two types, then they are accurately reflected in the Purchase Request processed by Acquisitions staff. But if any other Citation Type is selected in Leganto, such as an article, video, or music score, it is not accurately reflected…

More file type options for Reading List bulk export
At the moment it's possible to bulk export Reading Lists by running the job called 'Reading List Bulk Update' and selecting 'Export to PDF'.
Would be beneficial if we can export to other types such as .lgn or .ris. As those files would serve better as 'baclups' and can also be imported back into Leganto

Option to associate multiple courses for instructor rollover
Currently, instructors can only associate more than one course to a list after the list has been initially rolled over. To improve this, please add an option to associate multiple courses before the list is rolled over. This is available in the course loader integration for rollovers, so it should be available for instructor rollovers as well. Multi-site list alerts for print items
We have 7 physical locations 6 of which have print items. We want to set up Leganto to automatically complete physical inventory when added by an instructor as we do not have a "course reserve" workflow or short loan process. In other words, if an instructor adds print to their reading list we are happy that it can be accessed by the students on the open shelves.
However, we are aware that instructors could add physical inventory that is located at one site for a course that is being delivered at another. We do not do inter-site lending even between…

Ask the library for a digital copy form
Currently it's configured that or the field "Chapters" or the field "Pages from - Pages to" is mandatory.

Automatic refresh on embedded reading list / citation (on Canvas) when updated in Leganto
When a citation is updated for an already published reading list, which is embedded in the LMS (Canvas) as a Reading List or embedded item, the Canvas citation isn't updated. This means the citations aren't updated in Canvas. This should be automatically refreshed if the citation is updated.

Close the pop up window after viewing full details or editing a citation by clicking on the main list behind
Next to each citation in a Leganto list, there are options to view Full Details, Edit or Share. When you click on either Edit or Full Details, a pop-up window opens on the right of the screen. This window can only be closed by clicking on the x to close pane. However, the Share pop-up window and the 3 dot menu have light dismiss functionality and can be closed just by clicking back into the main list. Student view – make additional action icons available for items, e.g. quick cite
Currently the share icon is the only 'action' that is visible in the list alongside the citation. Other actions can only be accessed via the citation menu.
This is inconsistent with the UI in Primo where students can access several actions using icons which appear alongside the item. We believe that the user experience of both systems would be improved by greater consistency in how this functionality is accessed by exposing more of the actions in the citation menu as icons in Leganto.

When creating a new list, provide sort options for numbered templates
Some instructors want to create lists that show the most recent content first, so that their students can easily access the current week’s resources. For example, in a 12-week semester, they divide the list into sections by week and list them in reverse order (i.e. Week 12, Week 11, Week 10, etc.). They release each section at the start of the corresponding week, so that students can focus on the relevant content.

In Analytics (Leganto Student Usage subject area), possibility to query Statistical Category X fields under Student Details
(initially filled by the « Statistical Category X » fields from the Users subject area).
Right now, to get data about the usage of a reading list by students, we need to query the fields which are only available under the dimension « Student details » of the « Leganto student usage » subject area. Those fields are filled only after signing the Ex-Libris form « Leganto student success measurements service ».

Duplicate and Connect Courses Information Icon
We have found the options to duplicate vs connect courses causes a lot of confusion for our faculty. It would be helpful if we could add an information icon on each of those options in the search for reading lists that would display more information about when to select Duplicate vs Connect.

Include more information in the course tab on the user profile in Alma
At the moment the course tab on the user profile only contains columns for Course code and Section. There is no option to add more information about the user course enrollment.
It would be usefull to have access to more informations about the course enrollement in the user tab: Course name, term, year etc.

find list setting in new UI
Find list settings allow librarians to customize the basic and advanced search interfaces in Leganto but it is not available in the new UI. It would be very useful to replicate this function in the new UI interface.
