Ability to set Primo into read-only mode (e.g. for closing times)
It would be nice to have a comfortable ability to set Primo into read-only mode (= customers can not make an order) like a button or checkbox in the backend.
Reason: many institutions have closing times in summer (for revision, etc.) and the customers should not be able to make an order. Another reasons are major system changes (e.g. switch from Aleph to Alma) where read-only mode is mandatory.Until now (classic and new UI) we avoid orders by modifying the CSS file (by using 'display:none;' in several places).

Add Library pre-filter to Primo VE Advanced Search
It would be helpful if users could pre-scope their search to a particular library in the advanced search, rather than waiting to filter with the post-search facets.

Separate Library selection and Personal Delivery Address in Getit pop-up
We have configured Alma so all Personal Delivery requests go to a central library. Need to modify Getit so patrons cannot select a Library and also enter a personal delivery address i.e. separate Library pickup from Personal Delivery.

Easier Override Process
Allow overrides via pop-up or other mechanism that doesn't require logging into a separate instance.

e-shelf indication that items have been copied to clipboard ready for pasting
e-shelf indication that items have been copied to clipboard ready for pasting. There is no indication available and when copying large amounts of items it is unclear as to whether they have been added to the clipboard or not so the user cannot tell when it is time to paste.

ORCID to be searchable in Primo VE
I'd like to add ORCID to our catalog records, at least for our ETDs (thesis authors and their advisors), and to have the IDs being searchable in Primo VE.

different treatment/table would be allowed for different citation style.
Different treatment/table would be allowed for different citation formats. Because different citation format require different elements for citation.
For example, currently, the series titles is mapping in citation mapping table. However, not all citation style require this field.
Chicago, the series title, if exists, may choose to include in the citation. Disable the series title means that series title will be missing for all citations in Chicago format. If we don't disable the series titles mapping, the citation output of APA & MLA are incorrect. Allow different citation mapping table with different citation style would improve the citation output result.1 vote -
Change the record ID methods for Tags and Basket
For Tags and Basket, the records ID is the dedupmrg number for merged records. We want to use the individual record ID for the group.
This will ensure that records will allways be pointing on the right record even the all records are deleted and reloaded. The dedupmrg number is different whe we reload all records.1 vote -
Don't pre-populate the email address in the Saved Search/Email records pop-up
Currently, in the new Primo UI, the email address is pre-populated in the Saved Search/Email records pop-up. We would like the email address field to be empty.
Thanks,
Ryan

Primo New UI - EBSCO API - filter out no-full-text Item
We have set up a mixed search results of Primo PCI and EBSCO API. In the Primo new UI, The search results are supposed to show only full-text available materials. But we found some result items of EBCSO API are without full-text. We would like to the results items without full-text from EBSCO API be removed in the new UI in a full-text search while the no-full-text item be shown after clicked "Expand beyond library collections" . See the attachment "PCI&EBSCIAPIMixingProblem.docx" for details

Add Limiter to Select PCI Collections in Primo VE Advanced Searches
I'd like to suggest that libraries have the option of adding a limiter to the advanced search area of Primo VE that would allow users to pre-select particular PCI indexes to search. Currently, this can only be done by applying the limiters once search results have been generated.
It would be beneficial if users had the option of pre-selecting which PCI collections to search prior to actually running the search.

BX "Hot articles" is not (yet) in the NUI
It's not the most used function, but still had a respectable 5'000 hits in 2017. We'd like to have it when we change to the NUI in a few weeks, but apparently, it is not yet planned.

Filter out the default search result titles with the status "Citation Available" which don't have full text available under PCI
We expect the default search results of PCI contain full text titles only. But we found there are result titles which don't have full text with the status "citation available" (e.g. in the collection RAMBI, http://www.lib.ouhk.edu.hk/primo-explore/fulldisplay?docid=TNrambi000465453&context=PC&vid=ouhk&lang=enUS&searchscope=pcgsebookebscoscope&adaptor=primocentralmultiplefe&tab=pga_tab&query=any,contains,RAMBI&sortby=rank&facet=domain,include,RAMBI%20-%20%D7%A8%D7%9E%D7%91%27%27%D7%99&offset=0). We hope the no-full-text titles be filtered out.

PrimoVE : Allow splitting Dublin Core Fields
As we have set up Discovery import profiles to import Dublin Core data from other institutions into our PrimoVE instance, we have discovered a few institutions that concatenate the DC:CREATOR and DC:SUBJECT fields into a single field.
The ability to split these fields in normalization would be extremely useful in the Primo environment.

Add wording to Advanced Search Box
Currently, unlike the Basic Search box, one cannot add wording in the Advanced Search box in the new Primo UI, like "Enter search terms", which is confusing as users don't know that they need to click in the first Advanced Search box to start searching. Even moving the cursor to the first Advanced Search box would help.
Thanks,
Ryan

Newspaper index activations should be on the ejournal/newspaper title level rather than on the collection level
The Newspaper Index should be activated on the ejournal/newspaper title level rather than on the collection level.
For example if you activate in PCI a target like Gale Onefile, that has newspaper articles from a range of different titles, the result is radically different in the main Primo index and the Newspaper Index.
The main index will have this activation on ejournal/newspaper title level, so will only display newspaper articles and other content that Alma or SFX says are subscribed.
In the Newspaper Index however the activation is on the Collection level, so that all Gale OneFile newspaper articles are…1 vote -

Allow read-only access to PCI activation wizard
Others within our institution would like the ability to see what collections are activated PCI. However, Alma does not allow such access without granting users the role of Discovery Admin. It would be great if there was a way to grant read-only access so other users can view (but not edit) active and available PCI collections.
