Library Card page
I think it would more user-focused if the "Library Card" dashboard listed all of the requests and loans in one spot, regardless of the lending library. Many users are unaware of which library they've requested an item through - it would be nice if there was only one dashboard for patrons to check on the status of everything in one spot.
Hi all,
We would like to update that this is planned to be developed in the Primo Next Discovery Experience User Interface.
More details on the new interface plans can be found here -
Therefore we are changing the status of this idea to "Planned".
Best regards,
Yael.

This will help our patrons so much. It would really be a great improvement.

It is confusing for our patrons to try to figure out where to see their books checked out and requests. They often don't realize they have to click on a library, or they can reduce the listed libraries to just their active libraries. One list of books would be better.

We have a faculty member who has items checked out through several libraries. He is extremely frustrated that he has to go through the libraries one by one. (Quincy University)

Needing to look at each institution individiually in our consortial environment is off-putting to patrons who frequently complain about not being able to see all items at one time. In particular, being able to see all items and then sort them by when they are due would be amazing!

Since our consortium is set up to randomly select which owning library to select and the patron has no choice, this seems like an unnecessary step for them to go through to see where there loans are. Similarly, removing institutions that the patron no longer has activity at would lessen anxiety and frustration for patrons.

Other colleagues have made the point well enough. Please expedite this suggested modification to the dashboard, and thank you in advance.

Yes, please make this happen Ex Libris. Primo is a great product, but this is a major oversight in design. It is a HUGE hassle for users that cast a wide net in their research.

I couldn't agree more. Patrons so confused by seeing the cluttered screens with every library they ever borrowed from in our consortium.

Charles Taylor commented
I agree. Please change this. This is a complaint we're hearing again and again from professors, researchers, and students with high checkout volumes.

I agree wholeheartedly with this comment and request. We have had several professors complain that it is simply too time consuming to click on each library in search of which items need to be renewed. When our faculty are in the midst of research, they could have 50 items out from various libraries and do not have the time to weed through each library listed to bot keep track of items out and renew those needed longer.

We're part of a consortium where students routinely borrow from 80+ institutions. It's much more intuitive to see what they have out or requested instead of keeping track of where it is from.

"Has activity" should be the only option, anyway (until they're all shown on one page).

I completely agree. Our students do not know who they have ordered items from and do not have the time (or patience) to scroll through a list of institutions trying to find the information/item.

I agree. #1 patron complaint. Plus sidebar is hard to see on some phones making it harder to navigate.

Our patrons are having these same issues. One list of checked out items from all the libraries is best for patron usability. Plus, I have noticed on my own account that once you return all of the books to a consortial library, the library's name is still listed when viewing your loans. You have to change "All Institutions" at the top of the list to "Has Activity." But, it defaults back to "All Institutions" the next time you login to your account. This is only going to add to the confusion for patrons - to have libraries that they no longer have books checked out from still automatically displaying in the list.

Yes, please. We have lots of patrons who are unable to view their checked out items efficiently.

Consolidating this information would be very useful for large consortiums and makes logical sense for the patrons. As it is now, we are getting lots of complaints and confusion from our patrons.
