  1. Include Brief Levels in Analytics

    Our library uses Brief Levels to initially 'sort' newly received print materials, primarily those with records that come via our import profiles.

    We'd like to be able to get regular reports and statistics that count how many records were assigned each Brief Level so that we can determine the general quality of records as well as make decisions surrounding whether our Brief Level rules need to be adjusted.

    Currently, we can only search Brief Levels using the Repository Search, but it can be cumbersome to do it for each individual brief level for every import.

  2. Adding "Level of Service" to Resource Sharing Borrowing/Lending Request Facet

    Currently, when placing a Resource Sharing Requests (both Borrowing and Lending), clients are able to select a "Level of Service" e.g. Core, Rush, Express. The Borrowing/Supplying library will then base on this level of service to prioritize the workload. At the moment, Level of Service is not available as a facet for filtering in Alma. The impact is that library staff need to go through every requests to find out what level of service the client has requested.   3. Allow overlap analysis between localized and Community Zone Collections

    The most useful element of overlap analysis is to be able to compare the content of a resource you do not subscribe to, to one or more that you already do subscribe to. For example, if a library subscribes to Business Source Complete, and is considering an upgrade to Business Source Ultimate, it would be great if these two packages could be compared using Overlap Analysis, without having to localize or activate Business Source Ultimate. Ideally, comparing a single Community Zone collection that is not yet activated against a library's entire localized holdings would also be helpful.

  4. Add "create fee" function to Alma API

    In our future Alma installation we want to offer our users a self service function to purchase interloan access data. Since there's no possibility to integrate this functionality in Alma, we must develop a separate application for this purpose.

    However a fee for the purchasing user has to be created in Alma via the Alma API. Unfortunately there's no such API function ("create fee") available up to now.

    Please implement such a function!

  6. Change default of Automatic Print Slip from No to Yes in Alma RS

    When we are processing Lending Requests, we prefer to send the Shipping Slip with every item we loan/email. The information on the slips helps the requesting library to receive the item as it has their External Identifier, their address details, information regarding their request etc.

    We would like to have the Automatic Print Slip default change from No to Yes. Can it be made as a default of Yes?

  7. In Repository Search, display "Due Time" field for checked-out items

    The "Due Date" field already displays for checked-out items in a "Physical items" search but "Due Time" doesn't even though many institutions check out hourly items for which the "Due Date" field isn't really useful.

  8. Existing linked accounts need active lookup to update patron expiration date

    In a consortium with shared circulation policies and privileges, linked accounts need an active lookup each time they are used so that expiration dates that may have changed since a user record was first brought into an institution other than their own, can be updated to ensure a user is still entitled to privileges at another institution.

    We understand that the Alma Roadmap includes plans to bring blocks through on linked accounts using a network level block, but expiration dates are also important once a linked account is already created and is used again.

  9. Add NZ search to external search profile

    Make it possible to easily (like with a single click) move from searching the repository to conducting the same search externally. Or even better make it possible to set up an external search profile that would search the Network Zone first then automatically search WorldCat by clicking on the other tab. The ability to easily search multiple locations without changing screens and repeating a search would streamline workflows and help discourage duplicate bibs in the network zone.

  10. Add Expiration Date to list of roles for a given user

    After searching for a User and clicking on their name to display current roles, the display should include a column for Expiration date (in fact the current display of Status date -- when the role for the user was last updated -- is virtually worthless). Especially at the beginning of a new school year when formerly expired students are returning to work, it would be extremely helpful to see the expiration date from the list of roles without having to Edit and open up each role.

  11. Increase number of loans, requests etc. shown in Alma

    We want to increase the number of records to show in all of the lists in the system to 50. Current maximum is 20.

    Loan limits for patrons are 50 items and it would be helpful to see all 50 items in the loan screen at once, without having to consult the other pages.

    As of November release you can now select the number of results appearing on any list of results (previously, only a few lists had this feature). For some lists, the range is between 10 and 50 results. For other lists, it is between 20 and 100 results.

  12. View history of patron record

    We'd like to be able to view the history of a patron record. This would help with troubleshooting problems with updates from our SIS and also investigating problems with circulation.

  13. Freeze navigation and tabs in Ama search results view

    Currently in a list of search results, when viewing records in a list below what appears on the first screen, we have to scroll back up to the first screen of results to navigate, enter an new search, etc. If the navigation sidebar, tabs, search boxes, etc. were frozen when scrolling, similar to Excel, it would save searchers time.

  14. Run a report of items by fund code in Analytics

    A colleague wanted to know the usage stats for books he had purchased over a certain period of time. This would have been easiest by running a report including items, his fund code, and the relevant fiscal years. This is currently not possible - Dewey range reports inevitably miss some titles.

    Can the Funds Expenditure and Physical Items SAs be made compatible?

  15. Fulfillment: Send duplicate Lost Item Refund notice to the library staff

    Program Alma to send a duplicate "lost item refund" notice to the library staff email/printer when a lost item is returned. This would be similiar to how Alma sends a copy of the cash receipt for fines paid to both the user and to the library staff.

    When a lost item is returned to my library we need to know which patron returned the item so that we can remove the academic hold in our campus SIS system. Currently Alma only displays a message on the screen that indicates the ret'd item was lost--but messages on the screen are often…

  17. Set input focus when using persistent menu

    Similar to the previous enhancement suggestion "Set input focus for 'Quick Search' box" when a user navigates using the persistent menu to move to a new area of alma the search box should already be set to input focus.

    For example, if a user goes to Alma -> Receiving and Invoicing -> Reviews -> The "Find" search box should have the input focus so the user can start searching.

    This is more efficient and a better user experience. It is much less clicking.

  18. Set input focus for "Quick Search" box

    Please set the input focus for the "Quick Search" box under these two criteria:

    1) When logging into Alma
    2) When changing the search criteria

    When a user logs in they should be able to type immediately into the Quick Search box and get a result.

    When a user changes the format they want to search (Titles, Collections, Authorities, Vendors, etc). They should be able to click on what they want and start typing.

    In both of these scenarios by moving the mouse (especially #2) the user experience is inefficient.

  19. Add a policy copy column in the list of items

    When we are searching for all titles we cannot find in the list of items the related item policy so if we have to check the policy of a copy we have to select action and select view to view the related policy. Adding a column with the related policy in the list of items would be quick and useful.
