Improve the date/year filter selection
The existing "arrow" option for date/year filter selection in Primo VE is problematic for users, resulting in "rage clicks" as they try to select the required date range.
Can alternative configuration options be provided so we can control how the date/year filtering displays?
For example options to display a calendar or date range slider or manual data entry to adjust the years.

Improve resource accessibility with a new field «Request accessible document» in “Digitization optional parameters”
To provide better access to resources for users with disabilities, ETH Library would like to offer its users accessible digital copies. This service requires an additional field in the digitization request form in Primo VE, in which users can indicate if they would like to request an accessible document. This field could be named “Request accessible document” and be added to Discovery > Configuration > GetIt > Digitization optional parameters, so that libraries can enable and disable the field as they like. We think that it would be best if there was a dropdown list available for this field with the options No and Yes, with No being the default value.
We think that more libraries will offer accessible digital copies to their users in the future, and we would be happy if there was a simple solution to offer this service via Primo VE.To provide better access to resources for users with disabilities, ETH Library would like to offer its users accessible digital copies. Article level records from Alma should populate resource sharing form correctly
Article records from CDI will populate the Primo VE resource sharing form correctly, as a document delivery option for when there is no full-text available.
However, when it comes to article level records from Alma, the Journal title is incorrect (instead, the article title is entered into this field) and other information is missing, like publication year, volume, etc. Overall the article is not recognized in the Context Object as an article, but instead treated as a journal - thus omitting all fields not relevant to a journal record.
Example:
1 - Go to: https://kbdk-kgl-psb.primo.exlibrisgroup.com/permalink/45KBDK_KGL/1pioq0f/alma99124396529705764. See that the resource type is Article (this is expected) in the brief results and in the full display.
2 - Check the PNX and see that in the adddata section that:
format = journal
genre = article
atitle = High-protein diet during pulmonary rehabilitation in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease
jtitle = Danish medical journal [online]
3 - However, when you check the CTO:
rft.stitle > High-protein diet during pulmonary rehabilitation in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease
rft.jtitle > High-protein diet during pulmonary rehabilitation in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease
rft.genre > journal
rft.object_type > JOURNAL
4 - See the following screenshot of the resource sharing form: the Journal Title is incorrect and other information like the publication year, volume is not included.
https://www.screencast.com/t/rA9G9rcuhThis has of course been reported as a defect (case # 06707109), but is deemed by ExLibris to be an enhancement request.

Configuration Option to view all links available in Primo VE (both direct and link resolver)
Please give us an option to display all links (both direct and link resolver) for all possible links in Primo VE. I have checked the "Display All Links in Full Display for CDI" which gives the direct link first, then students have to click "Show More" dropdown for subscribed content links. It would be preferable to have all available links display without students having to click the dropdown. And also, the subscribed links usually have coverage dates included so quicker for students as well.

Landolt-Börnstein collection
Can you please add the Landolt-Börnstein collection since it isn't available in SFX? Our library has the entire collection through Springer Materials. Thank you

More language options for Primo VE
It would be helpful if there were more supported languages added to the Alma/Primo VE platform in order to serve multiple demographics on campus.
We would specifically be looking for Hindu and Farsi. Thanks!

Discovery collections handling
When creating or updating an Alma collection (adding/removing titles), the change is not automatically reflected in the Discovery Collections and it is necessary to trigger the reindexing for a correct display.
This workflow is problematic when titles are removed: records are taken out from a collection but are still present in Primo VE because a reindexing is needed. They can no longer be found by searching for the collection in Alma. Depending on the collection, it might also not be possible to find them all via a single search and it might be necessary to manually add the records to a set by comparing the collections in Alma and Primo. In these cases, it is extremely cumbersome to properly remove records from a collection. When creating or updating an Alma collection (adding/removing titles), the change is not automatically reflected in the Discovery Collections and it is necessary to trigger the reindexing for a correct display.

Resource type filter bar: after a search, terms with no hits should be inactive or a counter should be visible
The resource type filter bar under the search field will remind patrons of Google. Which is good, because they know how that works.
But: there is no indication in Primo VE that the filters are also visible and clickable if there are no hits behind them.
Please either add a counter (which would be consistent with the facets in the side column), or deactivate the terms that don't have hits, so that they are not clickable.
Clicking on something and landing on an empty page is frustrating.
-> Book chapters and Music scores have no hits, but the patrons only get to that information after clicking on the term.

Journal Search: Consider the NZ activation for e-resources with Inventory Management Groups in the IZ
Our consortium activates Open Access e-collections in the Network Zone so that they are available in every IZ of the network. Electronic collections for Open Access e-resources are activated without any Inventory Management Group assigned to it. It should display for every IZ and every Inventory Management Group within the IZ.
Some of the licensed e-collections in the IZs also cover e-resources that are activated in the NZ as Open Access. (Journals can have partial Open Access) The IZs are using Inventory Management Groups, and the local views are assigned to the campuses of the specific Inventory Management Groups. The Journal Search is activated in the views.Issue
The Journal Search records in affiliated views are filtered by the view affiliation and the corresponding Inventory Management Group. If there is an e-resource activated both in IZ and NZ, the current mechanism overrides the Inventory Management Groups of the NZ with the configuration set in the IZ. Therefore, only the licensed coverage of an e-resource is considered for the Journal Search, but not the Open Access part activated in the NZ. This results in incomplete search offer in the Journal Search of the views affiliated with a campus / library.Example
View A affiliated with a campus A
View B affiliated with a campus B
View C with no affiliated campusE-resource
Activated in IZ for campus A for licensed coverage
Activated in NZ without restrictions for the Open Access coverageSearchable in Journal Search of campus A – correct, the title is licensed in campus A
Not searchable in Journal Search of campus B – incorrect, the title is not licensed in campus B, but OA coverage from NZ should apply
Searchable in Journal Search of view C – correct, no campus affiliation
Example from productive environment

My Library Card: Digital LOANS
It would really be helpful to have a tab or include borrowed digital books under patron loans so that its easy for them to renew or see what digital books they borrowed and need to return. Currently there is no ability for a patron to see what digital books they may have borrowed and need to return.

Remove full stop after "available from" date in the "View it" section of PrimoVE
Currently, at the "view it section" of an e-journal title in PrimoVE, the availability can appear as follows for example: "Available from 01/07/2010." Note the presence of a full-stop after the date which is confusing to users who think access is only available to 2010. ExLibris state that this full-stop is hardcoded and cannot be removed.
PrimoVE would be far more user friendly and less confusing if it was possible to remove this full-stop.3 votes -
Primo VE - make frbr work with Esploro / research data data as well
Surprisingly, in Primo VE FRBR feature does not apply to Esploro research data records blended with Alma records.
It should instead work also with Esploro / Research Data.11 votes -
Pre-populate the address fields when personal delivery options are selected in an item request from Primo VE
In the November 2023 release it is now possible for patrons to update their registered home or office address (or other personal delivery address) while requesting personal delivery in Primo VE. When the patron selects one of the addresses for pickup in the request form all the address information is blank in Primo VE even when that field type is populated in Alma. This means the patron will think they have to fill out the pickup location information for every request. It would be more efficient to populate the request form with the patron’s pickup location address information if it already exists in Alma so they can determine if the information should be changed.

Primo VE: enable search fields for the deepURLs
InPrimo VE, in the "search" : {} section of the PNX record there are some fields that are still not searchable,
like the "unimarclocalfields". It would be nice if all these would be accesssible with the deepURL query parameter
I.E.: query=unimarclocalfields,contains,XYZ.35 votes -
Display the item "process type" label in Get It
In get-It, we would like to display some of the "Process type" labels from our local item processes.
For example, we think that the information "In the process of scanning" would be interresting for the users, instead of the general label "In process".
This would highlight projects in progress that are eagerly awaited by users.3 votes -
Remove Oclc only limitation in 035 indexing in Primo VE - i.e. index all 035 values
Right now values in tag 035 are indexed in Primo VE only if they are Oclc values (see reply to idea: https://ideas.exlibrisgroup.com/forums/308176-primo/suggestions/31282558-find-records-by-record-numbers ).
In all other cases they are not indexed, and Ex Libris says that one can add a local field for 035 tag to index all of them. That's what we did at our Library. Still, it's hard to understand why one should implement a local field for a feature that should work out of the box.All 035 values should be indexed by default.

Add Welsh as a supported Language for the Voice Search Assistant on Primo/PrimoVE
Currently, Welsh is not one of the supported languages on the Voice Search Assistant on Primo/PrimoVE.
The Voice Search Assistant does not recognise even simple words in Welsh and displays irrelevant results when testing the feature in the Sandbox environment.
This means Welsh universities are excluded from using this feature for Welsh speaking users. Please can you add Welsh as a supported language so that Welsh speaking users can have the benefit of this feature.

Reference to public licenses of other institutions within the consortium
Public licenses can be viewed in Primo VE's electronic holdings information area, but public licenses are not displayed in the electronic holdings display area of other institutions.
I would like to be able to display public licenses from other institutions within the consortium on my own institution's Primo VE.
Without this function, I think that being able to view information on other institutions' electronic holdings would have little effect.
Detailed information is attached.45 votes
