New books Carousel
Hello, we all saw EDS New books Carousel and liked it.
We want Ex Libris to develop new books carousel for Primo customers. please look at AUR Library - The American University of Rome page [https://www.aur.edu/], from the university main page choose the library and you'll get to EDS.
I'm attaching a screen capture of the library home page with the new books carousel.
Thank you!

Happy to report that there will also be a grid option.
Found via https://knowledge.exlibrisgroup.com/Cross-Product/Conferences_and_Seminars/ELUNA/026ELUNA_2023 -> Primo Product Update

Edit: for us to consider the carousel option, it would need a pause button.

Excellent. Especially if we can select new books to display based on search criteria eg. new books on a topic, new books in specific location etc.

If this moves forward it is imperative that the carousel be accessible. Carousels are notoriously inaccessible for users using assistive technology.

We haven't been able to find a solution for this which looks good/is functional. It would be really good to have this added to the Primo offering.

We are very keen to add a new books carousel to our Primo homepage to showcase our new acquisitions and really hope that this is added to the Primo roadmap.
Thanks,

Dear Larysa,
Did you manage to create a custom JS code to enable the Carousel on Primo?
I I'd be interested in your feedback.Thanks,

Hello,
We added the Syndetics JS code to our HTML file and the Carousel displays fine when opened as HTML file in a browser.
When the JS code is added to HTML file in Discovery package, the Carousel is not being displayed in Primo.
According to Ex Libris Support, we need to create a custom JS code to enable the Carousel on Primo landing page.
