When configuring pipes in Primo it is possible to use SFTP as the harvesting method, but there is no option to use keys for authentication, only to specify a password.
This is in contrast to when setting up integration profiles in Alma, where key based authentication is possible.
Please incorporate a system similar to that used in Alma into the SFTP configuration for pipes in Primo.1 vote
In Primo Classic, main menu links have an option to open links in current windows or new window/tab. In Primo VE links open into a new tab, it would be good to have the option to open a new search in the current window.1 vote
Please create the ability to combine active search set results in Primo VE.
I performed an Advanced search for author stern and keyword difficult. (Search set 1)
I then perform a search for author stern and libraries. (Search set 2)
I would like to be able to say in Search History: (search set 1) not (search set 2)
I do not see a way to use previous search strings to create more complex strategic combinations.
(This obviously becomes more important as I add additional lines of searches that would require various combinations.)1 vote
Set up display logic rules not at the level of a target or a service but at the level of the document type:
in particular, no more link or SFX service to be displayed when document type is dataset or patent, it seems SFX does not know how to process datasets metadata.1 vote
In Alma Digital collections, you can put a bunch of text in a collection description, but URLs always appear as plain text in Primo.1 vote
Make the table under Discovery > Configure Views > Full Record Services > Record Details drag and drop enabled
When a user has more than 5 fields in the Edit Full Display Details, it's extremely onerous to have to click the up or down arrows to move data fields (such as title, identifier, series, etc).
This table should be drag and drop.1 vote
JIT SAML provisioning is supported for Alma and Primo VE, but currently not for Primo Classic. IWe would like to see this functinality implemented for Primo Classic as well.1 vote
Navigation within My Favorites is tedious: When a favorite is removed or when the list is relabeled, you always go to the top of the list instead of the original starting point.1 vote
Users should be able to choose the length of the result page between 10 and 100 results per page according to predefined steps.
The option to do so should be available for unsigned users and should be persisted if a user is signed in.1 vote
Would it be possible to re-instate the alphabetical groupings of eJournals that used to appear in Primo before Primo VE? This would be in addition to the subject groupings that we now have. The Subject groupings are great, but we have some customers who prefer to search through the alphabetical groupings that we used to have. If it could be something that could be incorporated, but have the ability to turn it off for those that don't want it on their Primo VE that would be great. Different people look for things in different ways and I think having both options would be a real enhancement for customers.

We would like the ability to retrieve a user's saved searches via API, in order to allow for the user's searches to be displayed with other user information (e.g., in a library website user account).
There is an existing API, in the DevTools' Network tab as
/primo_library/libweb/webservices/rest/v1/savedSearches?vid=..., which requires a Guest or User JWT.
However, this API has not been added to the API Gateway for public use. We would like for this to be added to the API Gateway.1 vote
When having articles with both printed and electronic holdings the printed holdings doesn't get displayed in Brief Display until you click to the Full Display. If you then return to Brief Display you will see the printed holdings. Look at screencast: https://www.screencast.com/t/6v3E0HBQ The printed holdings should be displayed directly in Brief Display without having to click to full display.1 vote
Using Export to Excel or CSV, we are able to export Identifier, but ISSN, EISSN, DOI and PMID are grouped together in one field.
It will be more user-friendly if each Identifier is splitted into separate fields as shown in the attachment.1 vote
Please provide an option to search items from sub-collections together. Now users only can search the items in the current collection but usually the items in sub-collections are also relevant result for the search query. Some may think they can just go back to the basic search page and search again but the others would think it's uncomfortable because they are already familiar with Windows File search function.0 votes
Sometimes search results are not quite relevant because the search keywords appear in enriched data - which I don't see on PNX - like bibliography (a reference list). Though it's not perfect Google scholar has a checkbox option 'include citations'. If Primo gives an option like that it would save the time of users searching more appropriate records.0 votes
At present a copyright symbol automatically displays in the public notes field for representations in Primo View Online section. This is not an appropriate place for the copyright symbol: See idea https://ideas.exlibrisgroup.com/forums/308173-alma/suggestions/41256403-remove-copyright-symbol-from-alma-representation-p
Now that there are new rights statements for use in Alma digital representations, these should be considered as an optional display element in Primo.
Rather than show the entire text, just the image if one exists plus the name of the statement eg "Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0)" with translation options for multi-language sites.0 votes
Nowadays, browse Shelf Configuration dialog box, can be configurated with one of the following options:
- Browse Bibliographic Headings – if you want to display both physical and electronic material in Browse Shelf.
- Browse Shelf Listing – if you want to display physical items only in Browse Shelf. This is the default option.
I ask for a new option to display only electronic material, this is useful for those libraries that not use a standard classification system being that the physical browse shelf is a disaster.0 votes
We are setting up our different forms, and one thing that I would love to see for the Purchase Request form in future is the ability to restrict which material types are able to be requested, and also to add a different material type as a radio button.
In our form, we don't want patrons to be able to request to purchase journals, but we would like to have the option for them to select DVD (or just AV items as a general category) instead.3 votes
As part of a matching process Primo checks the 020 subfield z, which in MARC format is used for Canceled/invalid ISBN, to display two records as related. That means Primo shows the holdings of the "related" record in the full display of the first record. For a user the holdings will be on the record with invalid ISBN. Very confusing. We've been adviced to delete the ISBN in 020 z or move it to 776, which is a very bad solution. I advice ExLibris to get rid of this solution and not violate the standards of MARC.0 votes
Although Primo customers have the option of using custom resource type icons, the out-of-the-box icons still load momentarily before being replaced by the custom icons. This enhancement would prevent the OTB icons from loading for customers who opt to use their own icons.0 votes
