Allow key-based SFTP for pipes
When configuring pipes in Primo it is possible to use SFTP as the harvesting method, but there is no option to use keys for authentication, only to specify a password.
This is in contrast to when setting up integration profiles in Alma, where key based authentication is possible.
Please incorporate a system similar to that used in Alma into the SFTP configuration for pipes in Primo.4 votes -
Add Due Date/other Variables to Real Time Availability Status in Brief Records
November 2020 Primo VE release broadened the Availability Status messages in Brief Results. Our library would like to be able to further enhance the Status messages to include Due Dates, where applicable. Example: add date to Not available - Loan message, something along the lines of Not available - Checked out until {date}.

Clearer messaging around simultaneous user restriction in Alma Digital
We would like a configurable message that lets the user know they have been denied access to an item in Alma Digital because of the simultaneous user restriction. Currently, we are only able to configure a generic access denied message.
Without specific messaging it causes a lot of confusion with users and work for staff explaining what the issue is.

Ability to limit by type of material the view of digitization request in Primo
In our institution we would like to have the ability to apply a new parameter in the display logic rules of PRIMO based on material type. For instance to show the digitization form link only for specifics types such journals or reports, but not for books.
I hope this idea seems interesting for the Primo community. Many thanks

Add new criterion to Suppress Dedup/FRBR Rules
For Primo VE, please add the Creator/Author as a criterion to set up a Suppress Dedup/FRBR Rule.
Now record with same title, same date and same publisher, but with different Author are deduplicated, although they are totaly different works.
Please fix it.4 votes -
Deliver more accurate faceting of search results by improved use of PNX metadata
Can Ex Libris please look into a system whereby one content type can be privileged over another, supporting more accurate faceting of search results.
BACKGROUND
We recently discovered a number of CDI records incorrectly displayed the generic TEXT RESOURCE label for journal articles. It seems these records have been supplied by third party suppliers whose policies dictate that their metadata will not be updated, even upon request (https://knowledge.exlibrisgroup.com/Summon/Content_Corner/Knowledge_Articles/Summon%3A_Fixes_to_Aggregator_Content_Data).In many cases the PNX metadata provided indications as to what these really were, even though the allocated resource type was TEXT RESOURCE.

Add expand search (outside Imperial) into search scope
When users and staff are searching Primo. Many of them want to run an expand search straight away. Rather than searching everything and then clicking on expand search.
Solution: it would be better if expand search (outside imperial) could be a search scope. Although users the chance to search expand search straight away.4 votes -
Apply Controlled Vocabulary Service to Primo Browse
Currently, the Controlled Vocabulary Service is only applied to Primo Search. With the CVS, when users search for a term like "heart attack", they see both the list of all results and a message at the top of the results saying "Including 'myocardial infarction'. Just search 'heart attack'". This allows the user to specify which terms are in use, and to narrow them to just the specific term searched for if desired. Primo Browse lacks this service, and only returns precise results, but it would still be useful for users to be presented with an option to instead see similar…

Make Primo Analytics network folder available for consortia members
Make the Primo Analytics network folder available to consortia members' Primo Analytics catalogs the way it is for Alma Analytics. This would make it possible to share Primo Analytics reports to all members without adding the report to the shared community folder or copying the report to each institutions' local folder.

Allow the use of library location to hide hold or resource sharing requests in display logic rules
A use case scenario: we allow students to put a hold request (local request) on our equipment when it is all checked out so when the first one comes back they are notified. We also use the hold (local request) for users to request items we have in the library to be pulled and put on the hold shelf for pick up. However, we are part of a consortium so currently when one of our books/videos are checked out the hold and resource sharing links show up so an item could be held, which will take much longer than resource…

Reverse the order of Available in Library / Available Online on full record display
We are new to Primo so pardon if this idea already exists. My public services colleagues would like to see "Available Online" appear before Physical Availability in the brief record information on the top of the full record display. We can move the View it service section higher in the page but we can't flip these two links.

Send an automated confirmation email after a booking request has been successfully placed
Currently Primo has a nice feature that allows patrons to book items after they log in to their library account. It is called booking request in Alma and Request Item in Primo. We use it to let our patrons book equipment. However, it doesn't send out an automated confirmation email after a booking request has been successfully placed. We request to have this feature (i.e. the system sends out an automated confirmation email to the patron after a booking request has been successfully placed).

Include item copy id in OpenURL
We use OpenURL to pass request information from Primo VE to Aeon. Currently OpenURL cannot include item copy id (see case 06436874).
Item copy id is "used to identify individual copies of the same title when multiple copies exist at the same location".
This is important for our special collections libraries, because they often have multiple unique copies. For example, copy 2 may have annotations by the author and thus have specific importance to researchers, compared with copy 1 which is not annotated.

Make persistent search history opt-in instead of opt-out
Make Persistent search history an opt-in instead of opt-out when enabled by a library.
If a library enables the persistent search history in Primo VE, the feature is automatically turned on for all patron records. It would be helpful if patrons who would like to use the persistent search history feature could choose to opt-in to it instead of requiring users to opt-out of it.

request
Place "request" link (i.e. physical item request) against availability locations as opposed one "request" link that currently appears against the whole availability section of a search result in PrimoVE. As Alma expects items from the same location to behave in the same manner, surely physical item availability in PrimoVE should opperate in the same way - here the "request" link should only appear against a location where all items are on loan and not against the full availability for all locations where physical items may be on the shelf and where a Library may not want "on shelf" requesting. The…

Add double dashes to subject heading displays between subdivisions
The standard display of subject headings, as seen in the Library of Congress, is to place double dashes between their subdivisions. So "$a Germany $x Politics and government $y 19th century" would be displayed as "Germany--Politics and government--19th century." However, Primo VE only places the subdivisions together without distinction, resulting in "Germany Politics and government 19th century." This is is less visually clear to users and isn't consistent with standard practice; it should be a simple matter for Primo VE to place double dashes where a subfield indicator belongs.

Primo VE: Allow users to select false options when requesting items to another campus
Due to the set up of rules within our system, students are able to request books to any campus they want to except their home campus (as it is available to pick up).
When they don't see their campus as an option, they will send the book to another campus, see that it has arrived, and then turn up at the wring site expecting the item. We're proposing a setting in which the student would be able to select their own campus, but then receive an error message when they try to process it explaining why they can't and what…

Make collection and subcollection names discoverable in the Collections lobby.
Make collection and subcollection names discoverable in the Collections lobby. Currently, collection names and subcollection names are discoverable in Primo VE, but not discoverable in the Collections lobby.
Example:
We have a collection called: "Daher Folk Tales". It is discoverable in Primo VE:
but not in the Collections lobby:
We would like all collections and subcollections to be discoverable by name in the Collections lobby, because we will soon have a long list of collections on the lobby page, and many, many levels of subcollections. This enchancement would nake it easier for users to find the right subcollection,…

Support "Exact year" date search in Advanced Search
If a user knows the exact year they want to limit to, they have to type it in twice, whether they are using the facet option or the Advanced Search dropdown for Date Range. It would be helpful if the Advanced Search had a "Exact year" option with a single field to fill in.
