    Occasionally, exceptions need to be made to fulfillment policies like the maximum renewal dates for loans. Currently, the only way to make these exceptions is to temporarily change your TOUs. Please allow staff to manually override policies like the maximum renewal date when managing loans. Ideally, we'd like this to work for all loan types, including resource sharing loans.

    The SUNY system would also like to be able to revert resource sharing requests to their previous status. Staff often ship lending requests or return borrowing requests by mistake, and the only way to fix these errors at this time is to complete the original request and then recreate the reqeust from scratch. This can be time consuming for staff, and it can also cause some user confusion.

    The SUNY system would like to see the ability to configure a booking lead time added to Alma's booking functionality. This is one of the reasons the majority of our campuses are unwilling to use the booking feature.

    Hello, Moshe. Unfortunately, users often provide totally unrealistic needed by dates when they submit requests. If a user says they need the item the next day, they're essentially creating a reqeust that is guaranteed to be automatically updated to returned as soon as it's received at the borrowing library. In my experience, users will often pick up items even if they don;t arrive by the needed by date, so it would be very helpful to be able to manually override that automatic return.
