Ability to delete labels from available options
Sometimes a label is needed for a situation that then gets cleared up, and then the label is never needed again. Those tags stay in the list of tags forever, and then we have to scroll past them to get to the labels we need. Please give us a way to delete labels that we are not actively using.
1 voteHi,
Today in order to remove a label that is not in use anymore you will need to remove the label from the system. This means cleanup requests that have it and removing it from mediation rules or copyright rules that might add it. Once the label is removed it will not be offered again as an option in the dropdown menu for labels.

Due dates synchronized with the calendars of libraries
We noticed that Rapido does not consider closing periods entered in the calendar of the library. The due dates of Rapido requests are therefore not based on that calendar, while the due date of the loaned temporary item is. Consequently, a mismatch occurs, which in addition interferes with the renewals.
We would like:
1. Rapido considers the closing periods entered in the library calendar in Alma.
2. Rapido synchronises the borrowing and lending requests due dates.188 votesCurrently this is not planned. Thank you for this submission.

Change the partner library after a request is received or completed
Sometimes the wrong partner library is active in a request and this is not caught before it is updated as received or completed. We would like to be able to correct these requests.

Elimination of the temporary Rapido items
Rapido was designed as a classic interlibrary loan tool. The developers have therefore also adopted the tradition of temporary copies for each interlibrary loan item. In SLSP (Swiss library service platform), however, we mainly use Rapido for direct lending (via courier or postal delivery) to our users. Thanks to a shared catalogue (network zone), shared terms of use, lending and item policies, as well as a shared user pool for the entire SLSP, this was already possible without Rapido. Users ordered a copy directly to a desired pick-up library or by post to their private address without a diversion via…

As communicated during the NERS process, this enhancement cannot be pursued. It is a complete change of Rapido infrastructure and the way the product is working today.
Thanks for your Idea.

Renewal options
With Rapido, renewals are restricted to five times. With Fulfillment, renewals are based on a maximum number of days (and are not limited on x-times). We would like to have a parameterization option that allows the following: Renewals in Rapido should also work according to the logic with the maximum number of days (and not limited on x-times)

Place reservations on title level instead of item level
When a user creates in Rapido a reservation on a copy that is not available, the reservation should be created at the title level. Because, if there are multiple items not unavailable, the reservation is placed on a specific item. If another item becomes available sooner, the reservation is not moved to that item. The patron has to wait for the item that was reserved when the reservation was placed, even if another item might be available sooner. For this reason, a reservation should be created at the title level instead of the item level.

Possibility to re-loan an item after the max. renewals possible at the pick-up library
We would like to have a parameterization option that allows the following: Items requested with Rapido that have reached the maximum renewal possibilities can be re-loaned at the pick-up library without having to be returned to the owning library – if there is no other reservation on that specific item.

Prioritization of reservations
In a system, where users can create a reservation either via the get-it section or via the Rapido-Tile, the reservation from the get-it section currently have priority over reservations made via the Rapido-Tile. Our wish is, that the reservations are fulfilled in the order of their creation date, regardless of how they were created.

Add option to filter out Global title index results without any offer
Hi
Copied from Primo Idea Exchange (44 votes so far)
https://ideas.exlibrisgroup.com/forums/308176-primo/suggestions/46738303-add-option-to-filter-out-global-title-index-result"When creating a scope that include CDI records non filtered per availability (Rapido-CDI expanded index), Global title index without any offer (no Get it section, no view online section and no item available in the Rapido tile) are retrieved. These records are owned by libraries participating in any POD (outside of ours) of Rapido.
We would like to have an option to exclude the Global title index results without an offer."
Example in the screenshot.

Prioritization of the libraries in a given pod
The Rapido lending request distribution algorithm does not allow the different libraries in a pod to be prioritised. This would be useful to ensure that in case of multiple items the most staffed libraries are given priority in the attribution of requests, and to prevent small libraries from being overwhelmed by lending requests.
84 votesHello,
Thank you for this idea.
We have reviewed and determined that this functionality will not be added to the roadmap at this time. Current functionality support ordering pod priorities, load balancing within each pod, and additional pods can be created as needed by the community. I am closing this idea to release the votes back to the community.

Configurable lending request reject reasons
There are currently 25 lending request reject reasons in Rapido. That is too many, many that don't make sense for our institution and workflow. We would like to be able to configure the lending request reject reasons - add some, remove some, and rename some. There is currently no table in Alma to do this and Ex Libris cannot update this through a service request either.
The 25 lending request reject reasons as of March 2, 2023 are listed in the file included in this Idea Exchange.73 votesThank you for this submission, this idea will not be implemented at this time.

Order Discovery Results by Preferred Rapido Pod availability
Hello,
It would be nice if we could configure Discovery scope and search profile results to prioritize results based on local availability and preferred borrowing pods. Currently, the unfiltered CDI results required for Rapido often bring results to the top that are not held by the home library or any of their resource sharing partners. Sometimes, results held locally or with partners will appear further down the page where the patron is less likely to find it. This is especially aggravating when all the results are for different records of the same book.
Instead of the completely unordered form we…

Expected arrival date
Instead of telling the patron a specific length of time, it will take to get an item, or a specific date when it is expected it would be better to have a range of time e.g. instead of 7 days, 7-10 days, and instead of 11/02/22, 11/02/22-11/04/22. This would help account for business days and delays in shipping.
41 votesHello,
Thank you for this idea submission. Pod terms are a set number and the visibility of these terms are what shows to end users. Pod terms as ranges are not under discussion at this time. A configuration option is to customize the text in the labels on the offers. Some examples we have seen are to customize the language to align with campus tone and messaging, sometimes this looks like estimated delivery or business days.

Have member rules honor unavailable locations and temp locations
We have noticed that RAPIDO lending rules are not honoring our unavailable locations, like our withdrawn library, or our temp unavailable locations like reserves. We need RAPIDO to honor these as it confuses staff and takes time to reject these requests.
24 votesDear Rapido members,
This should be working, if for some reason you don't see it working as expected. Please open a support case.
Expected behaviour is:
For Rapido pods: the participating items determine the items that are available for requestingbased on the current location. Make sure your participating items are updated if something changes in terms of availability. For document delivery: send to Rapid only those items that are requestable - via the OAI holdings For Peer to peer:through the terms of use. In addition to this, the Rapido March 2023 release will include a fix that will also check availability in Alma for document delivery, so if Rapid finds via the holdings that a lender has the item, it will be automatically rejected if the item is in loan or not available for other reason.

Exclude Rapido temporary bibs from Alma's Authority Control Task List
Currently, when a patron places a borrowing request through Rapido, a temporary bib. is created and appears on the Authority Control Task List in Alma. This is problematic for the Cataloging staff who rely on the Authority Control Task List to identify authority updates needed on local records.
As a Cataloger, it is hard to identify these Rapido temporary bibs. even if they are suppressed since institutions may have other suppressed records. It is also currently not possible to exclude them from the Task List.
We would like a way to filter the Authority Control Task List to exclude Rapido…
40 votesThank you for this idea. This will not be implemented at this time. The facet of Suppressed from Discovery within the Authority Control Task List may be useful.

Ability to change/correct due dates for RapidILL requests processed through Rapido.
As an ILL staff member, I would like to be able to change the due dates for RapidILL requests processed through Rapido so that I can correct due dates when necessary. Sometimes staff or student workers incorrectly enter the due date or the system assigns an incorrect due date. At present, there is no way to fix this.
40 votesThank you for this idea, this functionality is not planned at this time. If there are specific issues regarding due dates, please submit a support case.
