  1. Allow page display customization

    I find that the "bubbly" nature of the new version makes it easy to start using, but now that I want to use it as a research tool, I would like to minimize the size of all the text, buttons, and icons so that more information can be displayed at one time. I would prefer the option to sort references and move through the platform efficiently. Make all my folders display in the same box (not separated by shared or not).   3. Añadir una campo personalizado. Add a custom field

    Quisiera que el campo personalizado se vea igual que todos los demás campos, en todas las referencias: que esté a la vista cuando editas, sin tener que ir referencia por referencia, clicar “añadir más campos", buscarlo y rellenarlo. ¿Es posible hacer eso?
    Add a custom field. I want the custom field to look the same as all the other fields, in all the references: to be visible when you edit, without having to go reference by reference, click "add more fields", search and fill it in. Is it possible to do that?

  4. Modify the RIS file import from Scopus to recognize origin

    When the automatic importing from Scopus was working, there was an icon indicating it was from Scopus. This does not happen with the importing from Scopus as an RIS. Can that Icon be added?

  6. Have cursor appear when the "Insert/Edit Citation" window opens, without having to click the "Search References" bar

    I would like to suggest that when the "Insert/Edit Citation" window opens, it would be nice if the cursor appeared already in the "Search References" bar, rather than having to click on it. This would make the process much smoother.

  7. Be able to import your school contact list for student/faculty emails into RefWorks

    It would be great if we could have our school's contact info for emails imported into RefWorks so it was not necessary to manually type out each person's email for when you share a folder. This would greatly help when sharing with more than one person.

  8. Journal names when abbreviated dont't get added to the reference list correctly.

    There seems to be a bug when adding references with abbreviated journal name to the reference list. Sometimes the reference gets divided into two lines even though it would fit to one line. This doesn't happen every time, but my collegeis having exatly the same problem.

  9. "Create Account" option shows up too soon, produces error, turns students away

    On the Legacy Platform, students are experiencing an error when they attempt to create new account. The "Create Account" option shows up as soon as the consent button is checked, so students check on "Create Account" instead of "next" and experience an error, then turn away. Please do not put the "Create Account" option up until it's actually an option... until after student has entered their name, field of study, etc. This is extremely poor design.

  11. Setting or preference that allows my default to be APA since everything my University wants it APA. It saves a click, and format accidents.

    Allow me to permanently select APA so I don’t accidentally mix or miss format from other citation styles. My school wants 100% APA, so I’d rather not have to select it each and every time. I’d like to minimize my time formatting, and maximize my time reading the content rather than worrying about the format of the bib/works sited.

    Cuando se visualiza una referencia, el espacio que se abre a la derecha, en vertical, es demasiado estrecho. ¿Se puede ampliar al doble, por lo menos?

  15. alternate titles confusing in record editing view

    My concern is that the record editing interface (for Book Section) confuses the 'Book alternate title' and the 'Book section title'

    Please see attachment #1: there, it is logical that the alternate title for the Book (Edited Collection) appears below the original Book title.

    However, as attachment #2 shows, when editing a ‘Book Section’ record, the Alternate Title field appearing below the (book section) Title is confusing, since that field will hold the book alternate title.

    What I'm suggesting here is that in a Book section record, the field should be called 'Book alternate title' and appear below Book Title.

  17. No menu bar above toolbar

    The blue menu bar doesn't reduce with the window, resulting in the account and language tab float over the toolbar. It prevents the user to access some tools when using RefWorks alongside other programs, with reduced windows side by side

  19. Keep search terms while searching PubMed from within New RefWorks

    In the Advanced search form, if a user types in a term then decides to change the search field, the text they type is erased. This leads to user frustration. I reported it to the Support Portal and go the reply that is by design not a bug. This would be a suggested improvement, if you would like to make suggestions for improving the product please add them to our forum at https://ideas.exlibrisgroup.com/forums/909445-refworks . The suggestions made here are used by the management and development team to chart future product development.
