How can we improve RefWorks?

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.
  • To see ideas you have already voted on, select the "My feedback" filter and select "My open ideas".

  1. Export references with highlight or comment

    When New RefWorks User tries to print/download a reference, the highlight or comment on the PDF file will be removed. We expect that it is possible to export the reference file including highlight or comment from New RefWorks.

  2. Being able to display a message to all users when they login

    We made changes to one of our institutional styles and I wanted to have a message show to all users when they login. I am sure there are other things we would want to alert them to changes we have made to RefWorks. Messages could display until the user dismisses them.

  3. Please make the record count on the shared folders display the same record number to all users

    Currently the record count only shows the number of citations added by that user on the shared folders. A shared folder shows "0" if I've added nothing, but might contain 50 items. It would be useful for all on a shared folder to see the same count.

  4. Search should default to folder you are working in

    If you are currently in a folder, perhaps the search function should default to searching the folder you are in, with an option to search your entire database of references.

  5. Output RefID to reference list

    Could you please add function in order to add RefID field when we edit or create citation styles?

  6. It would be optimal to be able to generate a quick cite reference, instead of pulling multiple references.
