Add case studies as content type
It would be great if "case studies" to be added as a content type, the same way it's an option on CINAHL and some other Ebsco products. Our nursing and allied health students often have assignments that specifically require them to use case studies, and it's difficult to narrow those down using Summon.

Intota: Coverage Date to “Present” in LSH-databases shouldn't be converted to 01/01/1900
When you enter “Present” as “Coverage Date to”in Intota this is converted to the date 01/01/1900 in eJournal Portal. If you leave the “Coverage Date to” field blank, then eJournal Portal shows the end date of the holding as “to Present”. Our wish is that entering “Present” will show up as “to Present” in EJP as well.

Intota Consortium Sharing: Status should be inherited on title level as it is on database level
When you cancel a subscription to a single journal in a database in the “parent instance” in Intota and wish to be able to see all data entered (payments etc.) after the cancellation you must choose any other Status than “Not Tracked” for the journal in question. On the other hand, you must choose “Not Tracked” to remove the title from the eJournal Portals belonging to any “child instance” that have inherited the journal through Consortium Sharing. Setting Discovery to “Off” doesn’t solve the problem. This is both illogical and annoying.

Do not allow eBook and Computer File records to match and merge with each other
There are CDI records, largely listed as eBooks but they seem to be merging with other catalog records with the 'Computer File' content type.
The result is that e-books are displayed as computer files via the filter.
This is confusing for users, and the merges may be causing more frustration than good.

fuzzy keyword search in the E-Journal Portal (AZ List)
Our patrons do not always know the exact name or spelling of a journal or how to use an asterisk.
We think the E-Journal Portal search box should support fuzzy keyword searching.

Allow filtering of UnPaywall and Open Access Button results on Link Resolver
360 Link should allow filtering of the Unpaywall and Open Access button results so that libraries can choose which versions to display. This would allow us to display only peer-reviewed results. Both services return version information in their API. Our library would like to use this open access button feature, but we need to be able to filter the results.

Allow Best Bets to be date-limited
It would be great to have date-limited best bets so it's easier to promote events, programs, etc. If implemented, it would be good to include a checkbox option to designate if a post is persistent or date-limited.

Batchediting Option for Administrative and Resource Renewals
We buy JSTOR EBA books, and other ebooks in bulk. Every time we buy new ebooks, we need to add Administrative and Resource Renewals notes mannualy, one by one. These notes are often repetitive, especially for the same batch (like "Payee: JSTOR", "2021 EBA purchase" etc.).
Currently there's only one bach editing option: Cost data.
It would be nice if we could update admin and resource renewal notes by batch editing, so that we don't have to edit them one by one for 100+ times. Thanks!1 vote -

searching az list click on database - no list of your titles
we now use SFX and on the a z-list, our users can click on vendor (= database name) and then see all titles within this selection. pe click on sage and then see all your active sage titles.
We will shortly switch to 360 core client centre (and stop with sfx) We now do not see on the front on the new a-z list ejournals this functionality.

Move Cites/Cited by data to the right pane "custom panel"
In order to reduce patron confusion, I would like see the Cites/Cited by information to be displayed in the right-hand pane. This would reduce confusion and allow patrons to see their search results simultaneously with citations. Additionally, I would retain the title of the result on which I clicked.
This makes functionality more similar to "Related Items"

Change Availability Statement of DDA titles to something other than Full Text Online
We currently have Automatic Holdings set up for E Book Central Perpetual and DDA database.
The original set up was done quite quickly and therefore only our owned titles appeared in Summon, but students could search for DDA titles in the EBC platform.
However EBC have sorted out the set up so now over 500,000 DDA titles are discoverable in Summon.
This might not be a bad thing except that the availability statement tells the user we have Full Text Online.
My proposal is that there is a way of distinguishing DDA titles from Owned titles for Automatic Holdings, and that the Availability statement for DDA titles is something other than Full Text Online, and is configurable. We currently have Automatic Holdings set up for E Book Central Perpetual and DDA database.

Have the ability to change from OR to AND in the list of subjects
Right now, unless something has changed, when we use the Subjects list to apply additional terms, the OR statement is automatic and there is no alternative. However, that is not necessarily how a student thinks when selecting Subjects. There are many times one will want to have more than one subject term added to the search with an AND statement.
So, for example, if I am looking at "emergency nursing" and I see in the subjects list "hospitals" and "health policy & services" I may want both terms in my search not either.
If it's doable, it would be nice to be able for the user to define how they want the subject list additions to be applied. So providing a choice between AND or OR would be helpful.

Search keywords should remain after logging in to EZProxy
When users log in to EZProxy from the authentication banner at the top of Summon,
the keywords they were searching just before will be reset, so users will need to enter the keywords again.
It would be convenient for them if the search keywords were inherited even after logging in to EZProxy.7 votes -

Delete search words when returning to top page from Home Link on result page.
When returning to the top page from the Home Link in the upper left corner of the search results screen, the current Summon is designed to carry over the search words as they are, but I would like it to be cleared each time.

Include a "Library" facet and a "Location" facet
For Summon institutions with multiple libraries, it would be useful to include facets for library locations and collection type locations.
For example, users could filter by the library building using the "Library" facet, and also filter by collection type (ex. Stacks, Reference, Reserves) by using the "Location" facet.
Currently with the "Library Location" facet, library buildings and collection locations are listed here and connected only with "OR". By separating them into their own facets, we can utilize the "AND" logic.
Application example- We have students asking if we have a certain textbook that circulates. It would be great to search for the book, limit to the library the student uses ("Library"), and then limit one more time to our circulating collection using a "Location" facet for collection type.
