Make the Saved items folder permanent when authenticated
At the moment, the saved items folder is temporary, even when you are logged in via your Microsoft or Google account.
We'd like it if users could retain their saved items (as well as their searches) when authenticated.

Add OSCOLA as a referencing output option
We have a Law school who use OSCOLA (https://www.law.ox.ac.uk/research-subject-groups/publications/oscola) as their referencing style.
Would any other Summon users find it helpful if this referencing style could be added to the output options?9 votes -
Move Cites/Cited by data to the right pane "custom panel"
In order to reduce patron confusion, I would like see the Cites/Cited by information to be displayed in the right-hand pane. This would reduce confusion and allow patrons to see their search results simultaneously with citations. Additionally, I would retain the title of the result on which I clicked.
This makes functionality more similar to "Related Items"

Allow filtering of UnPaywall and Open Access Button results on Link Resolver
360 Link should allow filtering of the Unpaywall and Open Access button results so that libraries can choose which versions to display. This would allow us to display only peer-reviewed results. Both services return version information in their API. Our library would like to use this open access button feature, but we need to be able to filter the results.

Support subscriptions with embargoes or rolling cutoff dates
Right now, if a database collection you subscribe to includes journal date ranges like "to X years ago" Summon/CDI doesn't recognize the cut off date and simply includes the whole subscription up to present in your search index even though the articles are not accessible. When you click a link, it's up to the content provider to determine how to handle the incoming link. ProQuest Research Library, for instance, will not even show you the citation record, but a search error instead. Ideally, CDI would be intelligent enough to handle these rolling cutoff dates and only include recent articles as…

Request determineing no result when the volume number and author do not match.
When there are no Suppl. on the publisher's page, sometimes 360 Link navigates the wrong article page.
For example, please see the URL below. And it might be more useful for the users if this enhancement will be made.
*Title which is wished to view
Journal of the Physical Society of Japan 69(Suppl.A), 5-12, 2000
Pressure-Induced Magnetic Phase Transition of the 5f Electron System URu2Si2 (Frontiers in Magnetism)*navigated title
Journal of the Physical Society of Japan 84(6)

Ability to add custom pre-set publication date to facets, e.g. "Ten years".
It is currently possible to use pre-set publication filters in the Publication Date facet, with "Last 12 months", "3 years" and "5 years" as options. However, it would be useful to toggle, i.e. both add and remove, pre-set publication filters for this facet in the Summon admin centre for Search Results and Advanced Search.

Add ability to share via SMS items in "Saved Items" folders
Please add the ability to share via SMS items saved to "Saved Items" folders, (either temporary or permanent folders). Right now it seems we are limited to using Print and Email. SMS would be helpful for quick transactions, and finding items in the physical collection.
See this support page and the attached mockup image for more detail.

Do not allow Book Chapter and Journal Article records to match and merge with each other
When the Book Chapter facet is applied, in multiple searches the majority of top results listed appear as Journal Article format. My understanding is that this is because Journal Articles an Book Chapters are allowed to match and merge, specifically in order to allow merging of serial monographs. However, many of the top results do not appear to be serial monographs, but actual journal articles. This is confusing for users, and the merges may be causing more frustration than good.

Correcting Status of "online-first" Citations
Aggregators, such as EBSCOhost, post articles on their websites only after the publisher adds the content in a journal issue. However, they do not take this information into account when providing their coverage dates.
Because of this issue, citations in Summon for such "online-first" articles (such as the ones at https://www.tandfonline.com/action/showAxaArticles?journalCode=tsri20) may link to an error message if the institution subscribes to the journal via an aggregator and not the publisher.
Since "online-first" records have a publication (SSID) and a publication date, if you subscribe to the journal and the article publication date falls within your dates of coverage,…

Idea for changing the results of the 360 API's calling to sort of order to the most recent first .
As the reaction to the release on 3rd Nov 2021 which has been provided on EJP, I'm suggesting of changing the results of the 360 API's calling to sort of order to the most recent
Because it become more usable if the platform which using this 360 API could display the databases with the most recent coverage first.

multi-site support
We are based on 2 physical sites but due to subscription costs and specialisms of some resources, a number of our e-journals are restricted to one site. (the majority are now 2-site licences) - we have included all of them in summmon. Currently these resources show in the Summon search results but users on the other site just get dead links. We would like to be able to record these when we select them for the knowledgebase so users from the non-subscribing site just get a message saying to contact the library whilst users from the subscribing site get full…

DB recommender - html formatting
We would like to be able to apply HTML formatting in the "database's description" field.
For the moment, it doesn't recognise the tags unlike the public database note field.
Furthermore, we would like to see the "public database note" displayed in the Database recommender.7 votes
