Create an Alexa skill and Google Home app to run (or at least launch) Summon searches.
"Hey Google, search [my library] for [topic]"

Create widgets that include limits by publication
Currently you can create widgets with filters by discipline, content type, etc., but it would be very handy to create widgets that could search within a set of publications--for example, if you could add a query for a string of ISSNs and limit the search to certain highly specialized journals. This would be great for niche fields or some disciplines that are not represented in the list of disciplines (like rhetoric and composition).

Automatic holdings update message
Change the link behind the 'New!xx/xx/2019' message that displays when Ebook Central Perpetual and DDA automatic holdings have been updated so that the link displays the updated titles themselves, not the summary screen of total titles held in the package.
It's not possible currently to easily identify which titles have been added on that date to match against Libcentral & ensure all the titles we have access to display in Summon

Add union catalog as limiter/filter
Summon does a great job searching our local catalog. I'd like to be able to add our statewide union catalog (OhioLINK) as a second, separate catalog and allow users to click a filter to "add in" results from that catalog if they don't find the book they're looking for in their initial search. Right now we have to have users link out to OhioLINK and do a separate search - I'd like to keep them in Summon for union catalog searching.

Minimise requests by patrons for locally subscribed content by filtering via Summon Citation Linker
As a small team processing many document delivery requests, it would be good to minimize the number of requests for items already held in locally subscribed e-journals. Proposing that citation details entered via a local online form could be submitted to the Summon Citation Linker for checking and identification of subscribed content. If held, a return to the patron of a link to the full-text content would be provided. If item is not subscribed, form information is forwarded to library staff as usual. Would greatly benefit both the requester who can receive access to required content instantly and also library…

Add link to local e-content that is owned by the library and may not be part of a subscription or database.
Local e-content (pdf of purchased document; link to digitized image collections; link to proprietary capstone papers; etc.) should be easily located with a SUMMON search.

Sorting results by citation counts
Some databases have an option to sort results by citation counts. This function is also beneficial for Summon user. In fact, I have received requests for this function from some of end users .

Let 360 Link make use of the EBSCO API
Have 360 Link make use of the EBSCO API, which would allow 360 Link to do a 'pre-check' for article availability and suppress the full text link if the EBSCO API returns an unavailable status. This EBSCO API option is a feature currently available in Alma but not yet available in 360 Link. It would be great if Summon could take advantage of this API too.

Allow to limit search results by word or page count, or a document length range
This should get rid of minor articles such as might appear when searching in newspapers. Also, it might help in further weeding-out book reviews. Plus, there are times users want articles that discuss an issue in-depth and they don't want a 2-page article from some journal. Conversely, I've helped users who get huge articles from journals who would like to find articles that are just 3-4 pages in length, etc.

Filter search results in the Ebook and Journal portal (EJP)
The EJP is a good way to find full text journals by subject area, however, once you have searched or browsed to a subject, there is no way to narrow your search any further except to show only open access titles. It would be helpful to restrict results to recent books or journals with current access, or to peer-reviewed sources, for example.

Refine RTA for Institutional Reporsitories
At present all results for our Institutional repositry have "Full Text Online" as the RTA text. However some of these are not full text at all, just records of book chapters/articles submitted by researchers. This gives a false impression to the end user that there is always full text. It is probably too difficult to create a mapping for all the permutations, but it would be a start to allow the records that belong to the Institutional repository have their own RTA text, such as "View in the Institutional Repository".

Delete search words when returning to top page from Home Link on result page.
When returning to the top page from the Home Link in the upper left corner of the search results screen, the current Summon is designed to carry over the search words as they are, but I would like it to be cleared each time.

Change Availability Statement of DDA titles to something other than Full Text Online
We currently have Automatic Holdings set up for E Book Central Perpetual and DDA database.
The original set up was done quite quickly and therefore only our owned titles appeared in Summon, but students could search for DDA titles in the EBC platform.
However EBC have sorted out the set up so now over 500,000 DDA titles are discoverable in Summon.
This might not be a bad thing except that the availability statement tells the user we have Full Text Online.
My proposal is that there is a way of distinguishing DDA titles from Owned titles for Automatic Holdings, and…6 votes -
client center
The Client Center staff-side user interface needs to be updated. It looks and functions almost the the same as it did when we first used Serials Solutions in 2004. It's slow and fails accessibility testing.

Ebook Usage Report
We can see e-Journal usage by title on 360 usage report but for e-Books, we only see Database lebel usage.
It would be better if we can check e-Books title lebel usage.6 votes -
Remove double separator for more identifiers (hardcoded)
Remove double separator when the bib record has more same identifiers:
I.E.: for two ISBN, Summon display the separator ;,
ISBN 0521451639;, ISBN 0521466903 (pbk.)The display of the identifiers in the Summon Over Alma services page is hard coded by design, so it is not possible to modify the display of the delimiter in the Brief record.

Go directly from Quick Look window to journal page
Some journal records have link to the 360 Core results screen on the Quick Look window.
It would be better if it were possible to go directly from the Quick Look window to journal page without going through 360 Core screen. Please see the atteched.6 votes -
Filtering titles with status "under review" in client center e-catalog search
On "e-Catalog" search box in ClientCenter, admin cannot filter titles with "Status Is".
It will be helpful if we could sort titles on "e-Catalog" search box with the status "Under Review".
Because some admin would like to register a title as "Under review" title at first and then change it to "Subscribed" at a later time.

Ability to self-sort library locations in mapping in Admin Console
After making changes in Mapping>Library Locations in the Summon Admin console, it would be helpful to have the ability to sort the library locations table by both the Location Code or the Location Name. I make changes here based on a sorted list I receive from our cataloging department. Having the screen I initially see be sorted in alphabetical order (the same way I receive my list from cataloging) lets me eyeball how much work, if any, is needed. If I could see a sorted list, I could more easily see if we have a location code or a location…
