Increase the Loading Performance of Larger Reading Lists
We would like to be able to create reading lists with more than 100 items, but they tend to load slowly when we do. Please increase the loading performance of reading lists so that we can create larger lists without impacting usability. We would like to see at least 300 items in a list without negatively impacting performance.

Limit the number of times an importance tag can be used on a reading list
We would find it very useful to set a limit on the number of times a tag can be used on a list – for example to configure tags so that only one item per reading list can be tagged as Core. We use this tag to flag items requested for our eTextbook Programme and this would help us avoid the issue of multiple Core-tagged items.

Enable the system to give you an alert if you suppress an item on a reading list
It would be good to know when you are suppressing an item that is on a reading list so you know either not to suppress it or replace it with another copy if one is lost or missing. Similar to when you withdraw or delete an item

Add ability to filter citations with files attached in reading list view
When searching citations in Alma, one of the facets available is "File", with the options "File attached" / "File not attached". However, when viewing a reading list, this option doesn't seem to be available.
This would be useful to us to quickly identify citations on a reading list which have an attached file, for example when checking copyright for digitisations.

Quick Notifications to All Faculty
During the pandemic, we've undergone numerous changes to reserve and library policies and it is cumbersome right now to quickly reach out to all list owners. We want to be able to use Leganto to push notifications quickly and easily to all users to alert them to policy changes.

Add option for Leganto Detailed Notifications Letter to be "opt in" by default
Hello,
We had the Leganto Detailed Notifications Letter switched on, but because there is no option currently for this to be "opt in" by default rather than "opt out" by default, we have had to switch it off again. We are only in our pilot phase so may consider switching the Letter back on later when most of our staff are using Leganto RLs. But for now it's not ideal for all instructors to get notifications when they aren't using Leganto.
We don't have control over how many instructors are attached to our courses, and because of the way courses…

Find all lists for a faculty when courses are associated to subdepartments
Would it be possible to change the structure of the Academic Department table so that Faculties and associated sublevel (institutes/department) are matched together in Alma/Leganto.
When both faculties and institutes are visible in the Leganto search it creates an expectation for the user that by choosing a faculty, they will get to see reading lists for all courses within the faculty regardless of the department. However, as the courses are usually associated to the departments, they will get no results.
Because of that we have recommended that our institutions upload either faculties or departments, not both, but we think it…

Shibboleth SSO authentication for Refworks
Recently the new version of RefWorks created SSO authentication process for Users. We have enabled this process. However, currently when users export records from Leganto to Refworks. It isn't allowed in many cases. As users need to use their new Refworks username and password. For Leganto to login to RefWorks and export the record.
Solution. It would be better if users in Leganto could use SSO to sign into Refworks. So a specific new RefWorks password is no longer needed.7 votes -

Assign citation tasks to others
Tasks in the reading list tasklist have a "Reassign" option, but this isn't available for tasks in the citation tasklist.
Some of our tasklists are for specific functionalities, but others might be either a copyright request or a short loan request - these are dealt with by different teams. Our copyright person needs to be able to work through the list and assign a task to herself if it's copyright-related, but also to assign a task to a short-loan person if it's for them. (And vice versa.) This would let her clear her own view of the list so it's…

Add two major book sites to the "Cite-it!"-function.
We would like you to add two major book sites to be working with the "Cite-it!" function. Links to the web sites: bokus.com & adlibris.com.

Get Course Enrolments by User API Rest Call
It would be really useful to have a REST API GET call that returns course enrolments for an individual student by providing the student ID in the request. This response should return a list of courses that the individual student is enrolled on which would then allow to drill into reading lists etc.

Stop adding reading lists automatically when looking at them
At the moment, when students look at a reading list in an LMS it's automatically added to their "My Lists" area in Leganto.
According to Ex Libris this is by design but they are open to change this depending on how popular this idea turns out to be.
(see Case 973700)We don't think that just a short glance at a syllabus justifies a list being added - most likey unbeknownst to the students themselves.
And if they want to add a list, it's only one click on the Add button. We don't want the feature to be abolished, but…

Add the possibility of rearrange the "Library Discussion" list in chronological order, from the newest to the oldest
Right now the list of actions displayed in the "Library Discussion" list can be viewed in chronological order, from the oldest to the newest. We ask the possibility of rearrange that list also in the inverse order, from the newest to the oldest, because we think it would be more useful to our users.

Automatic enrichment (update) of reading list citations
We are looking at using Rialto and ordering from Leganto looks to be a good option as Academics can place requests (Purchase requests) through the system. Ideally we would like the entry in Leganto to update the citation and status automatically once a bib is attached to the citation.

Allow instructors to view reading lists for courses in My Lists without being collaborator/owner of list
It should be possible in My Lists for instructors to view all courses where they are listed as an instructor and any lists associated with those courses, without being a collaborator or manually adding the courses to My Lists. Perhaps via a sub-section within My Lists e.g. My Courses, to designate those where they are a reading list owner and those where they are not.
This would be of use if the functionality to auto-add instructors as collaborators to lists was not enabled, to allow instructors to be able to see which courses they are associated to. It could also…

Real time integration for course updates between Blackboard and Alma/Leganto
A real time integration between the VLE system Blackboard and Alma/Leganto would be beneficial to allow course information to be updated instantaneously within Alma/Leganto, without having to wait for the next course load to run.
Although APIs are available for creating and updating courses, these require local set up and resource. It would be beneficial if standard integrations could be developed for course updates directly between the most commonly used systems e.g. Blackboard, meaning that when a change is made to a course in the VLE this is then automatically reflected in Alma and Leganto.
This would also be useful…

Related records: Show holdings for chapters only
Showing holdings in Leganto for book chapters* requires that the parameter related_record is set to Yes. An unfortunate consequence is that this also shows holdings for other types of related records, like for example a book and the associated exercise book. Holdings for both books are shown together which is of course misleading and confusing.
We would like to keep the related record parameter on, but make it so that the type of related record included in the displayed holding is more selective.
In Alma, the relation is expressed in MARC field 773 (Host Item Entry). If the second Indicator…

Show or hide individual General Electronic Services in Leganto
It is currently possible to control when General Electronic services display in Primo / Primo VE using Display Logic Rules. However, these rules only allow you to make decisions based on data in the record being displayed.
It would be good to have parameters in the Display Logic Rules that would allow showing or hiding a service based on which display the record is being displayed in (Primo VE vs Leganto).
In many cases, we want some of the Primo GES's to appear in Leganto, but not all of them. In the current setup, we don't have the granularity to…
