Resource Recommender customizable for each view
PrimoVE views serve different audiences. If the Resource Recommender were customizable for each view the user experience will be improved.

Thank you for posting this idea. Primo VE now provides you the flexibility to define resource recommendations for specific views

Any plans for Primo Classic?

Fab, very good news. We have 3 overseas campuses and need recommendations which are very different for them.

We just had to take down all our recommendations as the other campuses (Dubai and Mauritius) were getting UK only information and recommendation to view things they cannot access. Please can it be set to display by campus?

Being able to customise Resource Recommender in each Primo VE view is very highly desirable. It is causing issues for staff and students at campuses which don't have access to resources in the results.
When is this enhancement likely to come to fruition?

We use a different view for exam papers.
Being directed to databases and LibGuides (as our recommender does) makes little sense when looking for past exam papers. -

Another use case:
We have a view that is specific only to a small cohort of psychology students/staff for a very small collection of Psychology Tests. They get to see all the resources recommended to everyone, but it would be helpful if we could recommend specifically for them. Also there is another very similar idea that should be considered for merging with this one.. https://ideas.exlibrisgroup.com/forums/308176-primo/suggestions/37796875-resource-recommender-customizable-for-each-view

Another use case:
UNSW has setup the Resource Recommender for our subject guides and our most popular databases. Our Sydney and Canberra campuses maintain separate subject guides. There are separate Sydney and Canberra views but both sets of subject guides display in both views due to Resource Recommender's institution level configuration.Example:
A search on “business” retrieves 6 subject guides in our Sydney view. 5 of the retrieved resources are Canberra guides and only one is a Sydney guide.
The Sydney guide is somewhat buried in the retrieved results. Our preference is for only Sydney guides to be retrievable in the Sydney view and only Canberra guides to be retrievable in the Canberra view.
Both campuses also hold special exhibitions. We would like to promote these exhibitions using the Resource Recommender however we do not want to promote resources that do not relate to the view being searched.
UNSW has submitted NERS request 6316 for the Primo 2019 ballot, asking for the ability to configure Resource Recommender items at View level.

Resource Recommender (RR) entries are currently applied to all Views. There is no way to add them to one view and not to another view.
We keep a test view on our Production server because our Sandbox is not yet configured for LDAP authentication. We expected that we would be able to apply the RR to only the test view, but this is no currently possible. There are undoubtedly other use cases in this lack of control is also an issue.
