    I suggest that this idea should be broadened.
    In the new UI, Alma should have the ability to select date format. The ability to display dd-MMM-yyyy should be standard for optimal usability: https://www.nngroup.com/articles/date-input/.
    During our implementation, we requested that the Alma date format be changed to dd-MMM-yyyy. Ex Libris staff didn't know that this wasn't possible. It turned out that there is a bug which prevents that date format from displaying correctly in many Alma screens.
    Anyone who works both with the US and the rest of the world probably finds dates confusing when they present only numbers.
