An option to move the send-to section in Primo VE
We would like to be able to control the location of the send-to section in the Primo VE full record display.

@Bonny Woods, How did you switch the Send To and Available Online sections? Did you do it in custom.js? If so, can you provide the code? Thanks!

We would really like this so we can move 'send to' so it is below the view it/get it section...

I do not understand why all other elements can be moved, but not this one.

We are having issues with patrons thinking the email button will give them access to the item. I can see why this occurs. When they find an item they see the email button. They don't see the request options because they are not signed in. If the item is an article the email button makes a lot of sense. They don't have to sign in to use the email button so they never see ILL or other request options.
The other issue with the email button is that they manually input their email address and when they enter it incorrectly we get the undelivered email returned to our library email. Usually, we can determine who was trying to send something based on the email that was entered and follow-up with them, but it is time-consuming. Other times the email is entered so incorrectly that we can't figure out where it was meant to go.

This is a great idea! We would love to be able to change the location, also!

I did look in Primo Analytics at our "Actions" usage for Send To options and they are not very large. I don't know that we do such a great job of teaching people how to use the finer aspects of Primo. Our greatest usage is for "Permalink" which I would be willing to bet is coming mostly from Librarians. Next heaviest is "Citation".
@Bonnie... I like what you did. And I really like having the "View Now" the physical "Availability" options nearer to the top. I still think that our preference would be do have a way to do this via the VE Configuration settings. On the other hand... I really like what you have done...

@Francois - you can change the size of those icons using CSS
@Laura - we recently switched Send to and Available online - check out our code - https://utsa.primo.exlibrisgroup.com/discovery/fulldisplay?docid=gvrl_refCX2735801222&context=PC&vid=01UTXSANT_INST:DEFAULT&lang=en&search_scope=MyInst_and_CI&adaptor=Primo%20Central&tab=Everything&query=any,contains,harry%20potter&sortby=rank&offset=0. I'll email you too.

@Laura: Some weeks ago, a Primo customer (not on Primo VE) showed me a usage comparison of the "Send To" functionality Primo Classic UI vs Primo New UI. While the usage of "Send To" was very limited in the Classic UI, it was incredibly massive on the New UI! This was really a big surprise for everyone! So, the current position of "Send To" may meet a real demand from the patrons that librarians are not always aware of. Libraries with some months of experience with the New UI may be interested in comparing the usage of "Send To" in Primo Classic UI vs New UI before deciding to put it at a less visible place. My 2 cents…

I should add for those who are not on VE that via our Discovery Configuration in Alma we can very easily change the order of what are called the Full Display "Services" (for example "Search Inside", "View Online", "Get It" and etc.). This is one of the many great things about VE.
As mentioned previously the "Send To" section is not included in that capability.

Allen, et al.
The electronic resources librarian very much wants to have the "Send To" section below our View Online section. In other words, she wants View Online to be at the top. That is what precipitated this request. We do not have Angular/CSS/etc skills here to do this ourselves that way and feel having this option properly available in the VE Discovery configuration area would be a good thing.
Our understanding is that the Send To section is different than the other sections (Related Links, Details, etc) that follow it. It is somehow connected with the Information above it (you see both in the Brief Results) and so it presents challenges.

Speaking for my library, we want to be able to move the "Send-to" section below the "Get it" section.
I've got some neat Angular from another library that lets me switch pretty much any other section. But when I try to switch Get It and Send To, it gets very confused about where to put the 'sign in' message (this appears to be calculated by assuming Get It will always be second in order....)

We're in favor of this idea. We know how to reorder in the CSS, but it would be better if it were configurable without having to alter the CSS. Thanks for posting!

Laura,
I saw this and had questions. Can you say more about "control location"? Do you mean you want to be able to set the order of the send locations area in the full-display in the middle column or do you wish it to also be able to live where the bx-recommendations live?
