Allow Primo to comply with the "force password change on next login" setting in Alma for internal users
Alma has the internal user setting "Force password change on next login". Primo does not comply with this setting, so there is no way to force patrons to change their passwords in Primo. This is problematic, because our internal user accounts have a very insecure default password initially set for them. Please consider implementing this feature for Primo

How has this not been enacted yet? Patron privacy and account security is very important, and if you don't make it easily intuitive to patrons to change their password, most will not.

Absolutely this should be enacted! Besides being a featured that's needed- allowing patrons to set their own password from Primo- it's also confusing that it reads like it already is a function but isn't.
I assumed 'force password change on next login" meant in Primo for patrons. I couldn't figure out why it wouldn't work until doing an Ex Libris support ticket where I found out it (inexplicably) only applied to Alma. Alma accounts are only library staff. Sure that's good, but what about the majority of users, the patrons- who only use the Primo side. Everything else about the user account in Alma is available in Primo to the patron- their name, email, address, loans, overdues, etc.
I realized I'm talking about what could be 2 separate things- 1) being able to change the password from one's own Primo patron account and 2) the function of Primo forcing a password change. As far as I know, neither of these are true. But they should be.

Please make this functionality possible for Primo VE as well

This would be a helpful enhancement- so many times libraries are creating/editing internal records at the circulation desk for community patrons, alumni, etc, and it would be ideal to then be able to give the patron a temporary password, that they are prompted to change on next login. Please make this functionality possible for Primo VE as well.

Seems only logical to me.

I am very disappointed that Primo VE does not comply with this requirement. I guess we'll have to physically force patrons to do this.

I supported that idea.
But actually I would consider it a bug, that ***** does not comply with **** here. ***** is the frontend system for users, thus its somewhat pointless when this user account related functionally does only exist in Alma but not in ***** where the users have access to there account.
