More flexibility needed for display of locations
Our users complain that it is difficult to find the locations of items and that too many clicks are needed to find out if an item is available.
This is the most problematic in the Locations display for journals (and monographs with the item description field filled in).More specificly, issues are:
- The shelf number is not indicated clearly enough
- Users search for items in the library that are not on shelf because they don’t click through to the single holdings display to check the availability (in the "journal display") or because the availability indication like e.g. (1…262 votesSee comment by Asaf Kline

Ability to change the default for reading room to NOT FINAL
The default for the reading room is currently set to "final" check in. We wish to change this to "Not Final" to help avoid a scenario where Resource Sharing items inadvertently being returned to their home campus when users are not finished with them. Most of our librarians that use the Reading Room function would like the setting configurable so that they can select the option that best suits their workflow needs.

Add the option to display call number in all tabs (loans, returns, requests) of the patron account.
I have just seen the added call numbers with the December Release. It is now accessible everywhere except: the requests page of a patron.
It would have been this page where the call numbers are the most useful and the most waited for. Please add it there as well.110 votes -
Sort of holdings by location (A-Z) in Primo GetIt
Holdings in Primo Getit are sorted by "their proximity to the patron, according to the library IP address." [1]. This results in a random list (see screenshot).
We want a sort by library location (A-Z), because this is more intuitive in cases where many holdings exist, e.g. printed journals are distributed at many locations among the university, see example [2].

Resource Sharing Borrowing Recalled Item Due Time
When Recalling a Loaned Borrowing Item, there is a Due Date but not a Due Time, as a result, the system enters the Due Time as the time the recall was placed and not the library's closing time.
Pls. let us know what the solution is.
In order to enter the correct Due Time, we have to go into Fulfillment and Change the Date - which sends a second letter to the patron.
It would be very helpful if the Recall screen also allows the Due Time.

Add an "automatically print slip" toggle to the Resource Sharing Receiving Items page
For campuses that have a library that is also a Resource Sharing library, we could use a toggle switch to automatically print hold shelf slips when we receive items. Because Resource Sharing libraries do not require an extra scan at "scan in items", this would help speed up our workflow.

Opening hours of the library in Alma and renewing in Primo
Circulation desk librarians want to make a distinction between library opening hours in Alma and service hours in Primo so users can still renew items on loan in Primo that day after closing time of the library.
Some libraries close at 5 PM. The due hours of the items loaned in these libraries are thus 5 PM. But in fact the student should be able to renew his items until the end of the day, which is 11:59 PM in Primo.
We have also configured that for students there is a patron limit of max overdue = 0. Which means…93 votesAs part of Alma June release, The Closed Library Due Date Management policy now includes new values to support keeping the original time and change only the date if the due date falls on a closed day.

Resource Sharing library field as mandatory for user records
We would like to configure Resource Sharing library field as mandatory for (at least public) user records by having a "Resource Sharing Library" line in the drop-down in Public/Staff User Mandatory Fields table.
Additionally, it could also be interesting to allow creating user registration rules for the "Resource Sharing Library" field.18 votes -
Add Academic Department as a field in Acquisitions
Many academic libraries need to keep track of spending by academic department. If spending is not allocated by academic department then it is needlessly cumbersome to track this through the fund structure. Although this could be tracked through the sole reporting code Alma offers, there are many other competing needs for that valuable real estate. It would be useful to many institutions to have a discrete academic department field for use in creating reports.
Alternatively, add a "reporting code 2" to acquisitions that could be used for a variety of purposes.

We try so hard to anonymize. It would be nice to be able to purge patron "attachments" after a certain amount of time.

Create a Tableau Web Data Connector for Alma Analytics
Alma Analytics users who also use Tableau would benefit from a generic Tableau Web Data Connector (WDC) available via the Alma Integrations page to integrate Alma Analytics into Tableau vizes via the Ex Libris API.
The WDC could generate report-specific field structure based on the schema/xsd section of the API report XML, making the addition of Alma Analytics report data to Tableau as easy opening an Excel spreadsheet.27 votesCompleted, as per comment from Nov. 28 2016

Arrange Advanced Search-Add Conditions list in alphabetical order. for Title - Holding - Physical Item
When using the Repository Search - Advanced Search- Add Conditions either in All Titles Search or Physical Title Search.. It would be much easier to find and select what conditions you need to select if the options were in alphabetical order.

With the new UX choosing the attribute to search by is much easier – using type ahead, presenting recent attributes that were previously used and also the attributes will be sorted alphabetically per this idea. -
Date parameters for user blocks and / or notes
When manually adding a block (or a note) to a user's account it would be useful to add date parameters that the block/note is active, e.g. if a user is on Leave of Absence and therefore unable to borrow to be able to state that the block starts at XX and ends on XX would reduce staff time have to manually remove that block.
This would also tie in with the planned proposal for pop up blocks/notes (on Ideas EXchange)3 votes -

This can be done using the “Request Date Week Number” in the Requests Subject Area.
This field did not exist in 2017 when you opened the ideas Exchange. -
Add Reporting Codes to Invoices
Reporting Codes can be applied to POLs only. This limits their usability to, for instance, track actual expenditures vs. proposed costs, or to split out expenses on an item among multiple programs or funds (which can be done with multiple invoices). Allowing Reporting codes, or some similar code, to be applied to Invoices would add a great deal of flexibility and utility to an already good idea.

On Nov. 12 2016 the following was put here in the Idea, stating that it is already possible to have reporting codes associated with invoice lines:Thank you for your suggestion ‘Add Reporting Codes to Invoices’ in which you state ‘Reporting Codes can be applied to POLs only’.
Please note that it already is possible to add Reporting Codes to Invoices. For each invoice line it is possible to add a reporting code.
This appears in the “Invoice line” screen below the “Quantity” field and above the “note” field.
You will see it when both adding a new invoice line and when editing an existing invoice line.

Expansion of the Configuration API
Today's retrieve library API returns limited information. It would be very helpful to have this expanded to include campus information, default location and resource sharing configuration.
In particular this is needed when creating/updating users, eliminating the need for local mapping tablles, in the case where student master data only contains either campus or library information.
