Export profiles like Title Alert and Recommendation Feeds
It would be great if we could export title alerts or recommendation feeds, even as PDFs. This could really help with our transition to other ordering platforms that will continue to support print book buying in the coming year.
1 voteHello,
The ability to copy any profile query, for export or use in an alternate profile type, was completed as part of the July 2025 release.

Add facet for stock status
It would be helpful to have a facet for filtering search results by the stock/shipping time for books in the marketplace. The ability to filter out not in stock items or items with long shipping times without have to explicitly search with that limiter.

We released an "In stock" status filter in North America as part of the September 2024 release. Please see:

Flag EBC suscribed content (Acdemic Complete) in Rialto as OASIS does to avoid duplicate orders, even without a MARC record in Alma
OASIS flags titles that are part of Academic Complete or Literature & Language collections, if the institution subscribes to those collections. Rialto only relies on holdings in Alma to identify existing access. However, if an AC MARC record is missing, Rialto allows you to purchase access to EBC subscribed content.
Could you consider adding subscribed content alerts in Rialto based on what is currently active in Academic Complete, please?

When exporting lists from Rialto, it would be helpful if Dewey classification was included.
When exporting lists from Rialto, it would be helpful if Dewey classification was included rather than only having LC Classification.

Sort search results by LC classification
It would be great if we had the option to sort new title alert search results by LC Classification. While individual LCC letters already appear as facets, when reviewing longer lists with mixed subjects, it would be helpful to have items with similar subjects brought together on the longer list instead of having to move through each letter with the facets.

Improve Rialto Configuration visibility and editing access for the Rialto Administrator role
Currently Rialto is a ‘black box’ for a great deal of configuration which is controlled by Ex Libris and only visible to Ex Libris. For many settings, customers do not even have Read access, let alone Edit access. This issue is compounded by extremely minimal documentation on Rialto administration that configuration settings even exist at all and the options for them.
This leads to situations we have experienced where we began ordering physical titles through Rialto and were incorrectly billed in the wrong currency. And another where our EDI was not functioning as expected, due to invisible misconfiguration. And another…8 votesHello,
The base for this page was released in November 2025, with additional settings to be added going forward.
The January 2026 release will also see a new configuration page for read-only display of set currency, country, and region. The latter two being used to determine geo rights for ebooks and print supplier warehouse.
Please feel free to email me directly at amy.copeland@clarivate.com if there are specific settings not mentioned within the request that you would like to have displayed/manipulatable in the future.

Enhance the search options in Market > Order History
Currently the search options available in Market > Order History are Title, ISBN, PO Line Reference, and MMS ID.
It is found that the Title field searches only by 245 $a main title and does not search by also 245 $b, despite that both the 245 $a and $b display in the UI side panel.
This leads to a frustrating experience with poor return for many titles but particularly in cases such as a short main title and more detailed subtitle.
For example: “Why? The purpose of the universe” (see attachment).
This behaviour was reported in a case and advised…69 votesHello,

Provide the ability to control record linking by ISBN
We would like the implementation of an option that allows us to decide whether or not an order should automatically link itself to any single matching record with the same ISBN already existing in our system.
Currently, the automatic merging of records with the same ISBN creates confusion and inefficiency in our cataloguing process, which requires manual separation and correction.48 votesHello,
This was released as part of the July 2024 update. You should now be able to see the record match in cart and relink to another record, if needed. See:

LC Call Number order
Please fix the order of the LC Call numbers so they appear in LC Call Number order and not just numeric order by the first number in the string.

"Replace Offer" changes selector
Our workflow is that the librarians put orders through to approval, and acquisitions staff then approves those orders. Sometimes they find an alternate "offer" that is lower priced or in stock (as opposed to shipping in 4 weeks, etc.) and use the "replace title" feature to change which offer they are approving. This replaces who the selector of record is to the staff member rather than the librarian that originally selected the title.
Could this be fixed so that the original selector stays the "selector of record" throughout the process even in a different offer is selected? This will will…3 votesThis was released as part of the May 2024 release:
Look for "Retain Original Selector on Orders Awaiting Approval"

Display the Process Type in the Rialto Holdings Panel
The Holdings panel in the Marketplace indicates whether the title is already in the institution holdings. In some cases, the item may not be available. It would be very useful if the process type (Missing, Lost, Claimed Returned, Acquisition, Loan, Hold Shelf...) would be displayed in the panel itself. The reason why it is not available is hidden. If we see ‘Missing’ or ‘Lost’, the library may be more inclined to buy a new copy. The information is available, though after several clicks.

Allow multiple holdings on the same import job
Multiple copies for the same title under different library locations processed on the same import job, fail to update bib correctly.
When multiple bib records within the same import job for the same title are imported from the system, only the first record from the file is merged with the bib record, and all subsequent records (for other libraries or locations) are matched and skipped.
84 votesHello,
This went out for testing as part of the April 2025 release. As is was for limited testing, it was not included in the release notes. If you would like for us to enable a parameter that will allow for multiple holdings on the same import job, and monitor your purchases, please contact Rialto support.

"Buy it Now" option in Selection Plan
We received a request for purchase from a patron for an ebook which is in our current batch of selection plan titles in review so if we do nothing it will ship, which is fine.
My question is on the Purchase title button. I had hoped that this would act as a Buy It Now option such that with a click, Rialto would deliver immediately, the selection plan profiled "copy" of the book.
However, It seems that Purchase Title simply moves the order to the firm order workflow, thus requiring manual (or template) entry of the ordering library, fund, report…
4 votesWe added a "Buy it now" capability to Rialto this year, we're calling it "Finalize Snapshot." See the release notes below:

Recents option when adding funds
When adding to DDA can the funds selection have a "recents" option so we can select the most used fund, rather than having to scroll down the list of funds available
4 votesThis was part of the May 2024 release:

It says "reporting codes" but the fund should also be sticky.

Add Reporting Codes as a drop down field when selecting item for DDA
At the point of adding a title to DDA, a drop down field would be beneficial to input Reporting Codes so when a title is triggered this information pulls through into the POL which we wish to use to report from.
27 votesRialto has added reporting codes for both DDA offers added to the pool from a selection plan and when manually adding a title to the DDA pool so that users can enhance internal reporting capabilities. This is available to folks who have migrated to the new order/invoice service for Rialto.
Manual DDA add settings will also now persist from page to page for the user’s session.

Purchase request form customizations
I suggest that the "requested format" field in the purchase request form should be customizable and optional.
Also, it would be great with the opportunity for a language switcher - allowing for multiple languages.
6 votesHello,
This is part of the September 2024 release. The Purchase Request Form now enables customers to set the default option to "Physical" instead of "Electronic." Previously, users could only include or exclude formats, with the default always being "Electronic." Now, users can set their preferred default format when using the purchase request web form.

interested user
Currently I can only add up to five interested users in Rialto. If I have more than five interested users I have to go to the POL in Alma and add the additional interested users. I would like to be able to increase the number of interested users I can add in Rialto.
1 voteWe completed this work in July 2023. You should be able to add more than 5 interested users in the cart and orders awaiting approval. Templates would still limit to 5 interested users.

Separate finalizing stage from Purchase Request form page with confirmation message and link to create new request
Currently, the finalizing stage is completed on the same page as the rest of the form. However, I believe it would be more effective if the message of finalization appeared on a different, separate page, where the patron doesn't see the request fields. This separation would provide a clearer distinction between the completion of the form and the finalization process.
Additionally, I recommend adding a link in the finalizing stage page, that allows the user to create a new Purchase Request.
I believe these enhancements would improve the user experience and make the process more transparent and user-friendly.
17 votesThis was completed in 2023. There is now a status message at the top of the form that says, "Purchase request for <title> submitted."
