How can we improve Rialto?

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.
  • To see ideas you have already voted on, select the "My feedback" filter and select "My open ideas".

  1. Priority Rating for Title Alerts Recommendations

    Currently, lecturers can only specify a book's purchasing priority via free-text notes, making it difficult for the acquisitions department to filter requests under budget constraints.
    We propose adding a structured priority field (e.g., a 1-3 scale or a dropdown with "Essential, High, Optional") directly inside the Recommendation action.

    This built-in rating will allow the library to easily sort requests, ensuring critical books are purchased immediately while lower-priority items are saved for future budget surpluses.
