Allow customers to modify the frequency of the usage statistics letter
Currently, the usage statistics letter can only be sent monthly. Some researchers find this schedule too aggressive (especially considering asset usage doesn't typically change dramatically from month to month). Many of these researchers tend to unsubscribe as a result. However, some have suggested they would be more open to receiving these notifications is they were less frequent. We suggest Ex Libris consider giving customers the option to modify the frequency of this letter (i.e., quarterly or annually).
Ideally, it would be great if researchers themselves could manage their notification preferences (including frequency) from their researcher profile. See related enhancement request:

Search improvement
The search routine in esploro should have the same functions like it is available for Primo --> auto autocomplete or "did you mean?"

Ability to set a privacy flag in researcher profiles using APIs
Our university provides staff with the ability to set their contact details (work phone, email, office location) as public vs private in our HR system, which determines if these contact details are visible on public-facing applications and systems. These privacy settings do not currently flow through to Esploro. It is not currently possible to change visibility of contact details at an individual level in researcher profiles, either manually or via API. We would like to add the ability to use the Alma/Esploro APIs to set these privacy flags in Esploro Researcher Profiles as well, so that researchers contact details set…

Ability to create a customise CV at the institution level
We'd like to be able to customise a CV template at the institution level so that we can choose the desired fields/assets/activities to export.
Additionally, we'd like to be able to change the labels of the sections on the CV. We found a labels table (CV Researcher Categories) but this doesn't seem to change the labels either in the Portal view or on the exported CV.4 votes -
Ability to harvest full text files
The overarching goal of an institutional repository is to provide free public access to the research and creative output of the institution. Although Esploro offers institutions the ability to grow their repository by harvesting publication metadata from external sources, the imported metadata is of limited value without full text. We would like to see Esploro's smart harvesting capabilities extended by offering customers the option to match imported records with full text available from sources like Unpaywall. Citation only display on profile brief results
Currently, the citation display on the Researcher Profiles includes the first several lines of the abstract. We would like to list via citation only and exclude the abstract from the brief results. This can be done in the portal but is not available from the profiles assets display. We feel that this would look tidier and reduce the need to scroll down the page as much.

Display Esploro Asset Creation Date in Portal
I received the business/use case below from Carla Cher, the Manager, Intellectual Property and Commercialisation here at RMIT University for displaying the record creation date in a publicly available asset record on the portal.

Header Search Bar Configuration
The ability to enable/disenable the header search bar separately for the portal, profiles and projects. This would enable flexibility for administrators and the removal of a second and not needed search bar in the portal.

Add ability to export assets from public researcher profile in Excel format
Right now if you look at a public researcher profile, the only export options you have are BibTex and RIS. Our users would like to use Excel as well to make reporting easier.

Add ability for researcher approval before assets post to individual profiles
We have researchers who publish in areas which can be controversial such as animal research or abortion.
These researchers do not display all of their publications on their web profiles.
We would like the ability to set individual researchers so each asset had to be approved by the researcher before it displayed in their individual research portal.
We realize researchers can hide information, but we want to ensure that some information is not published to web profiles without approval.

Issue with OA status on closed asset with open manuscript
There seems to be no way to add an open access manuscript to an asset for a work whose published version is closed without listing the entire asset as OA.
This is a major issue because a central use case for Esploro is to provide openly accessible manuscript versions of closed works. This problem means that we currently cannot add an open manuscript to a non-OA asset (i.e. journal article) without marking the entire asset as OA, which is incorrect and misleading.
There is a workaround, but fixing this would be extremely helpful in the long run as we scale…

Add credentials and licensure fields to researcher web profiles
Our healthcare clinicians and have their medical license information and board certifications display on their academic profiles. We would like to be able to display this information in the researcher profiles as well. We would want the researcher or their delegates to maintain and enter this information, as it is not part of our central directory.

Expose all User record fields on the Researcher subject area
Currently, the User fields that are part of Researcher subject area are incomplete. I need to be able to include the campus that the researcher is associated with in my report.
I cannot get the information out of the Researcher Subject area as it is not exposed.
There appears to be no API or analytic subject area that all the researcher contact information, identifiers, urls (image and profile), keywords, affiliations, assets etc is available from.
I would like to see all the user fields included on the researcher subject area.

Option to display just the Output on the Researcher Profile
Hello,
It would be great to be able to have the option to display either just the Output section for the Researcher Profile or have the option to display the Output tab first before the profile. Since most of the information from the profile page requires active perusal from the faculty, some of the information can be outdated or not "fleshed out" (some of our faculty does not have any profile information on their page)3 votes -

Add the option to include missing entities (media mentions & projects) on the CV.

Allow repository staff to send canned responses
Allow customers the ability to create and store canned messages that can be used when communicating with researchers. Esploro already offers the ability to create custom return reasons that can be selected when returning a deposit. But this feature would be even more useful if selecting of one of those reasons also sent customizable canned message that could be used to provide further instruction to the researcher on how to modify and resubmit their deposit. pop-up notification when communicating with researchers about an asset
When communicating with researchers about an asset, staff members must open the asset record, navigate to the communication tab, enter their message, and click "Send." However, their message is not actually sent to the researcher until the asset record is saved. This is not particularly intuitive, especially because the message appears as a new line in the communication history with the date sent and name of recipient. In order to make this step clearer, we recommend adding a hint or pop-up notification letting staff know the asset record must be saved in order for the message to be sent.

Show the languages information in the Researcher Profile
Currently, we register the languages spoken by the researchers in the back end of Esploro. But this valuable information is not visible in the public Researcher Profile. We would like this info to be visible, since this way researchers can be contacted in different languages facilitating networking.

Analytics - ability to report on 'Asset Approved By'
In Analytics, under the 'Esploro Research Assets' subject area, we can currently report on 'Asset Created By' and 'Asset Modified By'.
We'd like to also be able to report on 'Asset Approved By'.This additional functionality will assist us in monitoring the work of trainees that are learning the system and our processes.
