Add a 'Back' button after clicking on ‘Additional approval tasks exist’ in the 'Author matching approval task list'
Many of us work on approving an asset of a specific researcher or a specific academic unit in the 'Author matching approval task list'.
Once we choose an asset to work on, and we click on ‘Additional approval tasks exist’, there is no way to get back to the specific filtered list we were working on, and we need, again, to select the relevant filters.
We ask to add a 'Back' button.
You can look at the attachment for an example.
6 votesHi,
I do understand the need for this but given our current UI infrastructure it is not technically possible.
Opening in separate tab can also create problems.
I am sorry.

Publication details > Publication Title - autocomplete option should include Journal names, Repositories, Databases for optimal consistent
Currently, Ex Libris Support insists that the autocomplete list (Asset > Publication Details > “Publication Title” field) includes only Journal names.
This is not true as we know that ArXiv.org (https://arxiv.org/) is already on that list. ArXiv.org is an open-access archive/Repository.
chemrxiv.org (https://chemrxiv.org/) is another example. ChemRxiv (pronounced 'chem-archive') is a free submission, distribution, and archive service for unpublished preprints in chemistry and related areas. We ask that other databases and repositories will be added to the Publication Title autocomplete list. This is very important consistency-wise.
The one that we ask to add:

Researcher ability to retrospectively add an accepted manuscript via Researcher profile
• We would like to increase the amount of Open Access available via our repository and would like to see functionality that enabled a researcher to retrospectively submit an accepted manuscript attached to an already reported metadata record. This will become increasingly important once the auto harvester is activated. The manuscript would be submitted and mediated by library staff to ensure that it complies with the copyright requirements and embargo periods of the publisher. I would imagine that it would appear in the task list (as a separate type of task).

Allow records from Alma and records from esploro to be part of the same collection in Primo
In Alma we can group records into Collections (Inventory -> Manage Collections).
The collections are presented in Primo.
Esploro records are also displayed in our Primo. We want to be able to attach records from Esploro to display in a collection together with Alma records.Scenario:
The "Science Teaching" department asked us to create a collection for them in Primo. They would like to see in this collection publications of their scientists (coming from Esploro) along with books and journals published by them (which are coming from Alma - physical and digital items).5 votesDear Colleagues,
This idea should be submitted to Primo since we have no control over the grouping of records from different sourced in Primo.

Include affiliation when replacing an author with an existing researcher
It would be more efficient if we could add an affiliation when we are replacing a creator/contributor on a record with an existing researcher. As it is, I need to replace and then go back and edit the researcher to include an affiliation.

Add "Organization ID" to Export to Excel
It would be great if "Organization ID" was added to the assets fields exported to Excel (in "Export list").

Esploro Portal - Enhance color settings
We would like to have one of the following options:
1. Enhance the color setting options available in the admin panel, allowing complete color control in the portal
2. Allow uploading a CSS/SASS file that will overwrite the preset CSS/SASS settings4 votesDear Colleagues,
Thank you for your input. It was decided that Esploro will not support CSS changes. In addition, we do not have plans to enhance the branding color options in the near future.
Due to these reasons I am closing this idea.
If this is still a need for you, please contact the Esploro Product Team.

Esploro Portal – add Labels for all title pages
We want to be able to configure title pages for every page in the Esploro portal using a label. A title page is what we see when we hover over the browser’s tab. Currently, there is only a label for the main title page.
4 votesDear Colleagues,
This idea was open for a very long time yet it has not gotten many votes. Due to other priorities, it is not likely that it will be developed in the near future and I am closing the idea.
Thank you for your input and if this is still a need for you, please contact the Esploro Product Team.

Add mapping to broad DataCite subjects to improve interoperability with DataCite
DataCite https://commons.datacite.org/ has a facet for field of science (see datacite-facet.jpg). We would love for our Esploro created DOIs to be able to use a subject term that will appear here. Looking at the backend, it appears they are from “REVISED FIELD OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY (FOS) CLASSIFICATION IN THE FRASCATI MANUAL” https://www.oecd.org/science/inno/38235147.pdf . This is built in as a default vocabulary in the DataCite Fabrica interface. The terms are very broad, but they still look helpful in this context. It would be great if research topics could be mapped to these terms and be included in the information sent…

I can see the sense in this but doubt it can happen in coming couple of years. I am closing it for now.

Develop a mechanism to allow subscribers to add 3rd party CSS/javascript
In Alma/Primo we can add customized CSS and javascript code to our sites by uploading customization packages. This functionality does not exist in Esploro and it's preventing us from using the UserWay accessibility widget - https://userway.org/ - on our site.

Integrate calls for papers (Papers Invited) into researcher profiles
Integrating the submission form (https://www.papersinvited.com/#submit-paper) into researcher profiles makes it easy for journal editors and conference/event planners to quickly and easily advertise their call directly within their profile and continues to build up the practical functionality of the platform for researchers.

Display All Asset Record IDs in Alma/Esploro Editing Screen
Include all asset record IDs in Alma/Esploro for easier construction of OAI-PMH GetRecord requests. These currently only work on <identifier>oai:alma.61RMIT_INST:11247527950001341</identifier> and this identifier is not displayed in any asset record. This makes it impossible to complete a GetRecord request.

Add the ability to view Publishing Information to Esploro research assets
For Alma physical, electronic and digital records there is the option for administrators to view the Publishing information.
This functionality does not exist for Esploro Research Assets.
Can the ability to view publishing information for Research Assets be added to help enable troubleshooting.3 votesClosed at request of Product Working Group

Moving from grants to linked assets
It would be helpful if there was an easy way to move from the list of grants to the linked assets, much like you can view assets from a researcher record.

Confirmation message when updating area of interest - Backend
When editing a profile from the Alma backend it is incredibly easy to accidently delete the Areas of Interest section which, if done accidently, would require the researcher to enter the details again. It would be good to have a confirmation message attached to this action e.g. Are you sure you want to delete the Areas of Interest from the Profile?. I know this is operator error and you could cancel out of the record, but I’m sure it’s going to happen at some point.

Alma Esploro Interface and Alma Users as Researchers
In the Alma Esploro interface we would like to not have to edit Researcher roles when a User is also a Researcher. Right now anyone with an Alma login will need to be granted an Observer role in Esploro if they are made Researchers.
