Content

Your feedback matters to us. Help us to extend our discovery indexes, KnowledgeBases and Community Zone by telling us what collections and data you’d like to see us add, using the message areas below. You can also support something already posted.
If you are suggesting new content for Discovery that is not yet in the Knowledgebase you do not need to submit two entries (one for Discovery and one for Knowledgebase)
Specifically you can suggest:
• New collections for Discovery (Primo Central and Summon)
• New collections for the Knowledgebase (Alma CZ, SFX KB and 360 KB)
• New authority files to be added to the Community Zone
• Enrichment of Community Zone bibliographic records for certain collections

We would love to be able to respond to every idea that is submitted, but this is not feasible. We are, however, committed to responding to the most popular ideas—those that have received the most points.
For more information please review our FAQ and guidelines. Thank you.

How can we improve Content?

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.
  • To see ideas you have already voted on, select the "My feedback" filter and select "My open ideas".

Enter your idea and we'll search to see if someone has already suggested it.

If a similar idea already exists, you can support and comment on it.

If it doesn't exist, you can post your idea so others can support it.

Enter your idea and we'll search to see if someone has already suggested it.

  2. Knowledge Unlatched KU Select 2017

    Dear support

Since the contents of Knowledge Unlatched until KU Select 2016 successfully received a target, I hereby like to request a target for KU Select 2017 as well.

Concerning the information flow, the provider recommends Ex Libris to use the XML feed available in the KU platform (tailored for sharing metadata with distribution partners). This way Ex Libris can rest assured that they always include the latest Open Access books and future Open Access collections. Furthermore, the provider would be thankful to have a contact person at Ex Libris in order to make the inclusion of new content within…

  5. Open Access Digital Theological Library

The Open Access Digital Theological Library (OADTL) has a clear ethical mission: to make all high-quality, open-access content in religious studies discoverable to the global community through a single curated, search experience. “Our goal is both to provide existing content to a global audience and to give the developing world a voice to speak to the developed world,” explained Digital Theological Library Director Thomas Phillips. “We curate without regard to religious perspective, without any bias as far as ideology.” They curate in multiple languages, offering open-access resources in the modern languages of German, Spanish, French, Portuguese, Korean, and Chinese in…

  6. CiNii Books for Discovery

CiNii Books is a free bibliographic database for all genre book contents. It is widely used in Japanese institutions.
    https://ci.nii.ac.jp/books/

I hope that this database will be added to Summon Index. Merging this to Library Catalog will make library resources more accessible and discoverable.

  12. Enrich bib records in openedition_freemium - they are currently very poor.

Records for titles in this open access collection are currently so poor that librarians and students are missing them in our Primo.

  17. The Encyclopédie, ou Dictionnaire raisonné des sciences, des arts et des métiers

A famous general encyclopedia edited by Denis Diderot and D'Alembert between 1751 and 1772.

    http://enccre.academie-sciences.fr/encyclopedie/
The Encyclopédie stands out as a fundamental reference tool on account of the wide range of topics covered in many different fields of knowledge, especially:
    - in its philosophical articles with contributions of the most famous writers and philosophers of the French 18th’s century: Montesquieu, J. J. Rousseau, Voltaire…
    - in the detailed description of the mechanical arts.

We can find many sites with digitalization of later editions of the Encyclopédie (and also in your KB!), but the proposed items are infinitely less interesting.
