← Have an idea for Ex Libris?

We welcome your ideas for new content (metadata) to add to the Knowledge Bases (KBs - Alma CZ, SFX, 360) and Discovery services (CDI - Central Discovery Index whose data supports Primo and Summon).


How to increase your idea's visibility and get more votes:
  1. Check if your idea has already been posted and vote for it before posting a new idea.
  2. Choose the right category: "New Provider" for content from a provider that has no available content in the KBs or CDI, or "Existing Provider" for content from a provider that already has content available in the KBs or CDI.
  3. Add a direct link to the provider/resource you suggest, and a contact person if possible.
  4. For enrichment requests add the relevant collection ID(s).
  5. Make sure you mention any specific added value your idea has to the community such as language or supporting diversity.
  6. Did you find errors in an existing collection? please open a case.
  7. A new year has begun but no corresponding annual collection? post an idea in Idea Exchange, make sure to mention if it is an existing provider.


The categories for new content ideas are:
  1. Existing Provider - if your idea is for a new collection from a provider that already has content available in the KBs and CDI or enriching records for an existing collection, use this category. No voting is necessary, ideas for existing providers will be handled regardless of voting.
  2. New Providers - if your idea is for content from a provider that does not have any content available in the KBs and CDI, choose this category. The ideas for new providers will be annually prioritized via the CERV process.
  3. Other - for non provider specific ideas

**Please be aware that ideas with no comments or votes for the past three years, and have less than 30 votes, will be closed. The closed ideas will still be available for review, and the votes will be freed up for supporting other content ideas.

    Please add University of Toronto Press annual ebook collections (on their publisher platform https://utppublishing.com/) for as far back as they go to the KBs. There's already one for 2026. Having earlier years would be helpful.

  3. Please add RSNA Complete Radiology Collection on Ovid to 360KB

    From 2027, 5 journals, Radiology, RadioGraphics, Radiology: Artificial Intelligence, Radiology: Imaging Cancer, and Radiology: Cardiothoracic Imaging, of Radiological society of north america will be published by Wolters Kluwer , sold as a journal collection and moved to OVID platform.

    Please add this collection to 360 KB by the end of 2026.

  4. Add ARETION Publishing Group - The Journal of Medicine, Law & Public Health (ISSN 2788-791X)

    Please add a provider record and electronic collection for ARETION Publishing Group, so that institutions can activate The Journal of Medicine, Law & Public Health directly in the Alma/SFX/360 Knowledge Bases and in CDI, rather than relying on it arriving indirectly through ROAD.

    On categorisation: Noam Fass of Clarivate confirmed on 23 September 2026 that our content already reaches CDI via ROAD, including article level metadata, which is why this is filed under Existing provider. ARETION itself has no collection of its own, so please recategorise if you consider it a new provider.

  7. Docuseek ALL titles collection

    Please add a Docuseek ALL titles collection to the KBs that includes ALL titles hosted on the Docuseek platform, regardless of geographic regions, including partner titles such as GoodDocs and Pravda which are not included in many of their standard collections.

    The use case for this collection is for libraries that purchase individual titles outside of a collection.

    The Pressbooks Directory (https://pressbooks.directory/) indexes thousands of open access books created by educational institutions.

    The corresponding CZ collection "Pressbooks Directory" (Collection ID 611086618140000041) makes these books available for activation in Alma, but the bibs currently carry only title (245), author (100), and language (008). As an example, the record for "Stories From The Place of Sports in The University, 3rd Edition" from University of Washington Libraries (MMS 9948351757900041) contains no 520, 650, or 856 for cover, though Pressbooks supplies a paragraph-length description, seven subject headings, and a cover image URL for this book.
