- Choose the right category: "New Provider" for content from a provider that has no available content in the KBs or CDI, or "Existing Provider" for content from a provider that already has content available in the KBs or CDI.
- Add a direct link to the provider/resource you suggest, and a contact person if possible.
- For enrichment requests add the relevant collection ID(s).
- Make sure you mention any specific added value your idea has to the community such as language or supporting diversity.
- Did you find errors in an existing collection? please open a case.
- A new year has begun but no corresponding annual collection? post an idea in Idea Exchange, make sure to mention if it is an existing provider.
- Existing Provider - if your idea is for a new collection from a provider that already has content available in the KBs and CDI or enriching records for an existing collection, use this category. No voting is necessary, ideas for existing providers will be handled regardless of voting.
- New Providers - if your idea is for content from a provider that does not have any content available in the KBs and CDI, choose this category.
- Other - for non provider specific ideas

filtering out book chapters with no meaningful scholarly content
Develop a method for filtering out book chapters with no meaningful scholarly content from CDI (e.g., title page, copyright, acknowledgements, etc.). These tend to glut up search results and confuse library patrons.
For example:
Chapter Title = Acknowledgements

Perlego: Map regional indicators or create regional collections for KBs
The current Perlego collection (YSPEL in 360KB) contains some titles that are not available in certain regions (including the United States). This results in CDI or 360 MARC Updates records for titles our students are not able to access, causing frustration and confusion.
If there are geographical area indicators in the Perlego metadata that relate to where titles are (or are not) available, those indicators should get mapped in discovery so that only available titles are shown based on the customer location.
Or else, make separate region-specific Perlego collections in the KBs, so that libraries can subscribe according to their…

Kanopy Base Collection
Hello,
Recently we've had 15 member libraries purchase the new "Kanopy Base Collection". In addition CARLI staff know of at least four other I-Share Alma libraries with significant Kanopy streaming video purchases. Here's a quick description of the newly offered "Kanopy Base Collection" with a link to an example title list. https://www.lyrasis.org/content/Pages/product-details.aspx?pid=3747DED9-9754-ED11-80FE-00155D0A2732
I've checked the content road map and release notes, however, I found nothing from Kanopy "coming soon" beyond the "database" type e-collections in the Community Zone.
Please consider adding a selective package or aggregator for the Kanopy Base collection.
Thank you,
Denise Green, CARLI3 votes -
Display license information for Open Access and Open Educational Resources
Please add license information for resources and collections that are known to be open access or open educational resources, making it clear what licence applies. This applies both in CZ records and CDI. We would like to make it clear to our users when a title is made available under a particular licence terms.

Create a way to distinguish volumes for a single title
There is a title in Gale resources, Encyclopedia of African-American culture and history : the Black experience in the Americas, that has several portfolios available. Each portfolio links to a different volume in Gale. Each portfolio has unique linking but if you see the title in Primo, you will see only the title listed, many times. I had to add a volume note to each portfolio so users could tell each title apart. This was not the only title I've found that is like this. Ex Libris stated there is no way to add the volume to the title. It…

Separate publisher and aggregator collections to filter out unavailable preprints
Publishers are increasingly adding preprints to their collections but aggregators do not add them until they have been fully "published". Because aggregators and publishers share collections on the CDI, it looks as if our aggregator links are broken in the catalogue. If aggregators and publishers provide different levels of access, can the collections be separated to reflect this?
This is important because the preprints tend to be the latest publications and so are in relatively high demand.70 votesAdminTamar Ganor (Admin, Ex Libris) respondedHello,

provide a display or report of indexing coverage
it would be great to have a way to look up the coverage dates of indexing for a given journal in CDI. This would help us know when to direct users to other indexing sources.

CZ AMD bib material type revised
There are many AMD related collections (Collection ID: 61616107200003966; Collection ID: 61616086800003966 and so on) in ALMA CZ. We found many resources bib material type are defined as JOURNAL, which is wrong compared with the real situation(They may be manscript, document ,photograph in the database platform). However, we cannot upload electronic material type in batch to replace.
We think CZ should confirm and fix the wrong bib material type.

Making the peer reviewed icon more accurate
Articles and journals are marked with the peer reviewed icon in Primo based on information extracted from Ulrichsweb (https://knowledge.exlibrisgroup.com/Ulrich%27s/Product_Documentation/Searching/Ulrichsweb%3A_Peer-Reviewed_Refereed_Journals_and_Academic_Scholarly_Journals).
The Peer Review indicator can only be set at the journal level at the moment. If a journal is identified as peer reviewed, or refereed in Ulrichsweb, all articles from this journal will be shown with the peer reviewed icon in Primo.
However, not all articles in such journals are peer reviewed, meaning the icon sends the wrong information to user, and that this label is not reliable. It can further cause users to lose confidence in the system.…797 votesThanks for the examples - we will review them and discuss our options.

Create a facet for Abstracts (or Conference Abstracts)
Abstracts are currently classified as Journal Articles, which causes confusion as readers are expecting to be able to read the full text of a published article that does not exist. Creating a facet for Abstracts would allow them to be correctly classified and would improve the user experience
12 votesFor next year we are planning additions and changes for resource types. We will take this under consideration and will include this as part of that project if possible.
