Retain search field keywords when switching to Browse Search
The following is a request from one of our teaching faculty. "When a subject heading search is performed in [the search scope for my institution's holdings] and the patron then wants to browse other variants of the subject heading and clicks on BROWSE in the top bar, the search box is blank. Then the patron has to retype (or if they are experienced and have copied the subject heading) paste it in and perform the search again. It seems like a simple fix to make the search term sticky so it would automatically populate the browse box."

Adding unique user data to Primo Analytics
Idea: To be able to use Primo Analytics to create a report of unique users who have used Primo (logged into Primo) in a specific time period, for example in a month.
Reason: Currently in Primo Analytics, the 'session' and 'sign in' parameters count the overall numbers and not unique user numbers. This means that there is no option to check the unique users per Primo identifier for a specific period.

Primo VE's paganation feature choises also to the top of results
Primo VE's new pagination feature's options to change to another page should be added also to the top of results. Or maybe the choise could be floating at the bottom of the page, visible all the time.
Now if you have chosen 50 results per page the choises are pretty long way down.3 votesHello All,

It should be possible for partners to log in to Primo and see a list over their lending transactions with the library
It should be possible for partners to log in to Primo and see a list over their lending transactions with the library.
The Royal Danish Library handles more than 500.000 lending transactions with external partners per year.
At the moment it is not possible for partners to log in in to Primo and see their transactions.
This cause a lot of manuel labor for The Royal Danish Library to answer request of status form our partners.

Enable/disable the article quote in Brief results
Brief results often show a quote/snippet for an article (see screenshot). In Primo VE it is currently not possible to enable/disable this. We would like to see this configuration option. All the other fields are customizable, why not this one?

license
We would like Primo VE to show a license upon the license being approved in Alma.
Right now, any license that is linked to an item or a collection shows up in Primo VE, even if it is still a draft and in review status.
So I have had to remove the license from the collection in the meantime under we have the license terms verified.

Improve phrase searching "Highlight"
When using phrase search, please do not highlight partial words or letters.
Please highlight only the exact phrase which use for the search terms.
For example, if a patron searches for "traffic accident", please highlight just "traffic accident" and do not highlight "traffic" or "accident".
Please check the phrase search results your Primo VE.
You can find that word-level highlighting makes the search results confusing.25 votesHello All,

Not needed after UI improvements
With the Alma 2021 March-release there was introduced more logic to the handling of the Not needed after field coming from the requests from Primo.
This new functionality has made the Not needed after more useful than before and we have activated this in the request forms.
We do however have two suggestions for improvements:
1) In the request form there is a calendar icon that indicates that it is a date-field. The user expectation is to click on the icon, but it is not clickable. If the user cliks in the field they get a date-picker. Could the calendar-icon…

Capitals in Tags
Tags work currently only in lower case and this is OK for concepts. But when users need to tag regions and countries, the lower case creates a disturbance. Could it be possible to have tags respect Capitals?

Make handling of multilingual labels easier
Hi
Our Primo VE has 4 interface languages.
1)
Changing a term means I have to change it in each language separately, save it (which throws me out of the table to the list of tables), click 'edit' again, then change the next language etc. Otherwise the changes are not taken.Surely there's a way to make that easier?
For example display all languages at once, which would also make it much easier to compare the languages.
2)
After I changed a label, when I search for it, I still get results, although it does not exist any longer in…10 votesHello All,

Provide system performance metrics
The Ex Libris Systems Status page only provides simple up/down and planned maintenance information. While this is important, it does not help with other issues, such as slow response time.
We would like to have access to system performance metrics, including volume of API calls and response time. This could be set up as more detailed information linked from the system status page, or perhaps as reports in the analytics system.Although I'm entering this as a primo improvement, it applies to all hosted products.

Ability to merge local data with cdi records
We currently export Imperial Open Access Spiral material to CDI and Primo VE. This means in Primo VE we show duplicate records for all our Open Access Spiral Records. One from the local source and one from CDI. This is not the best user experience. It is also confusing for library staff working on Spiral Records in Primo VE.

Deliver more accurate faceting of search results by improved use of PNX metadata
Can Ex Libris please look into a system whereby one content type can be privileged over another, supporting more accurate faceting of search results.
BACKGROUND
We recently discovered a number of CDI records incorrectly displayed the generic TEXT RESOURCE label for journal articles. It seems these records have been supplied by third party suppliers whose policies dictate that their metadata will not be updated, even upon request (https://knowledge.exlibrisgroup.com/Summon/Content_Corner/Knowledge_Articles/Summon%3A_Fixes_to_Aggregator_Content_Data).In many cases the PNX metadata provided indications as to what these really were, even though the allocated resource type was TEXT RESOURCE.

Archival materials misleadingly accessible via ILL
When searching my institution's PrimoVE instance with the "Add results beyond your library's collection" box checked (it is checked by default), users are getting search results that include archival and special collections materials from other institutions. Users who log in can request these items via EZBorrow or ILL, but this is misleading because archival and special collections materials do not circulate and cannot be checked out or delivered to another library. These requests will always be denied and cause some confusion for users and library staff. We're concerned that users will be at best confused by having this option seemingly…

EBooks from "Initiative E-Books.NRW" to CDI
As part of "Initiative E-Books.NRW" from the Ministerium für Kultur und Wissenschaft NRW we now have access to about 100.000 E-Books from several providers. The Ministerium published a press release of this issue in January (https://www.mkw.nrw/presse/e-books-nrw).
We don't want to put the metadata into our local system, because the access to the content is limited to 3 years. After the 3 years we may have access to content that was frequently asked. For now it is not clear, which content that may be.
We would appreciate to have this metadata in the CDI to make it easier for…

add vernacular title to exported records in Primo VE
hi,
in primo back office it's possible to use a mapping table to add the display/vertitle field to exports to RefWorks and RIS but the export mappings in Primo VE seem to be fixed and the equivalent of the vertitle field is not included. this should be a straightforward addition and provide much better exported references for users - thanks for considering!

display logic should allow us to block Resource Sharing Request if the item is an ebook
As more and more ebooks are offered and indexed in CDI, we need a way to block the UW Request from showing for these. At this time Resource sharing is not equipped to handle the loaning of entire ebooks. So we need users to use different options and unfortunately we do not have a way to block the RS request when an item is an ebook

New records facet according to Inventary record
Primo VE facet for New records (last month, last week) retrieves records according to the bibliographic record creation date.
The problem in some institutions is it takes an average of one month from when the record is created until it is available to the user, therefore, the new records that are available in the last week for the user appear under the last month facet or even, sometimes, in the last three months. We ask for theese facets take into account the Inventory Date instead of the Bibliographic Record Creation Date

Treat "and" and "&" (ampsersand) as interchangeable for the purposes of FRBR
There might be multiple local (i.e. repository) records for different editions of a book, where the title field of some editions features the word "and", but the title field of other editions features the character "&". At the moment, this results in two FRBR groups for that book on Primo VE - one group for the editions with "and" and another group for the editions with "&".
When determining FRBR groups for local (i.e. repository) records, "and" and "&" should be treated interchangeably, so that all editions of a book will be grouped together, even if the title has changed…

Display all editions of FRBR items even when using scroll wheel or right button
In brief display in Primo, we can choose what will be displayed when a user clics on an FRBR title :
- a single item / a single edition in full display chosen by an algorithm ;
- or the list of all editions in brief display. This is what we have chosen to display, so our users can't miss the fact that we have several editions of the same book. But it actually only works if the user uses the left button of a mouse.
When using scroll wheel or right button, you always have an item chosen by…
