  1. Highlight one result from each Resource Recommender type in brief results

We can create multiple types of Resource Recommenders, but if multiple items within a particular type match the tags a user searches for, multiple items are returned from a single Recommender and some Recommenders are hidden. We would like to be able to highlight one result from each matching Recommender.
For example, display in Primo seems to support highlighting 3 items from Resource Recommenders in brief results, with additional items displayed under link to "See all [#] suggested resources." We currently have three Recommender types: Library Guides, Databases, and a Custom recommender for Librarians (enhanced version of Person recommender). No…

  2. Expand timeout to include more features

Expand the features offered through "timeout" by including additional features such as clearing sticky facets and redirecting the timeout to load the Primo home screen.

  3. Ability to run blank search with limiters in advanced search without "*"

The idea is explained here: https://ideas.exlibrisgroup.com/forums/308176-primo/suggestions/35373859-ability-to-run-blank-search-with-limiters-primo But the ExLibris solution is to use "*". This idea suggests a possibility to search with limiters in advanced search without any search syntax like double quoted asterisk. Just blank with limiters.

  4. Primo VE link should open in

In Primo Classic, main menu links have an option to open links in current windows or new window/tab. In Primo VE links open into a new tab, it would be good to have the option to open a new search in the current window.

  5. Navigation within My Favorites should be more user-friendly

Navigation within My Favorites is tedious: When a favorite is removed or when the list is relabeled, you always go to the top of the list instead of the original starting point.

  6. A-Z ejournals list

Would it be possible to re-instate the alphabetical groupings of eJournals that used to appear in Primo before Primo VE? This would be in addition to the subject groupings that we now have. The Subject groupings are great, but we have some customers who prefer to search through the alphabetical groupings that we used to have. If it could be something that could be incorporated, but have the ability to turn it off for those that don't want it on their Primo VE that would be great. Different people look for things in different ways and I think having both…

  7. Import excel file to Journal Search Category labels

Journal Search Categories are possible to export as an excel file. It should also be possible to import the excel file, after editing it in excel. That possibility already exists for the Journal search labels. Why not for Journal Search Categories also?

  8. Allow custom scopes for CDI records, for an "articles only" drop-down search profile

Currently, custom scopes that allow for setting conditions include only local data from Alma, and do not include any CDI records, even if blended with CDI. This means it is not possible to create a search profile with a custom data scope of with "Resource type: articles". Instead, in order to limit a search to only articles, the user must use the facets on the left-hand side of the page. I think this is a common search parameter that should ideally be available in the drop-down menu to the right of the search bar.

  9. Primo VE - Local Resource Type order to match Primo BO functionality

When defining Local Resource Types in Primo VE, there is no option to adjust the order that the rules are checked, unlike in Primo BO. Being able to define the order of rules can help arranging them from most specific to least specific.

  10. license

We would like Primo VE to show a license upon the license being approved in Alma.

Right now, any license that is linked to an item or a collection shows up in Primo VE, even if it is still a draft and in review status.

So I have had to remove the license from the collection in the meantime under we have the license terms verified.

  11. It should be possible for partners to log in to Primo and see a list over their lending transactions with the library

It should be possible for partners to log in to Primo and see a list over their lending transactions with the library.

The Royal Danish Library handles more than 500.000 lending transactions with external partners per year.

At the moment it is not possible for partners to log in in to Primo and see their transactions.

This cause a lot of manuel labor for The Royal Danish Library to answer request of status form our partners.

  13. Pin to the result last viewed in Primo after closing the item record

The current Primo design returns the user to a random earlier page, not necessarily to the same record, after clicking on a search result to open up the item record. So currently, after viewing result no. 24, and closing it, it could return you to result 11 in the Primo search results page.

  18. citation linker - highlight required fields

I'm suggesting an out of the box configuration option to highlight the required fields in the citation linker. I have adjusted the text, to let our users know that an identifier is required but the text can easily be missed. We recently migrated to Alma/Primo VE and when we had 360/Summon, we were able to highlight the required fields in the citation linker. I am investigating CSS customization options.
