PrimoVE - allow search scopes defined by Ex Libris and local search scopes to be combined
It would be great to allow search scopes to be combined in PrimoVE so that predefined search scopes and local search scopes can be configured to search as one scope. Currently, PrimoVE is not able to do this and makes searching more complicated to educate end users on how to search.
For Example, Allow 690 and 6XXs to be able to be search all under Subject. Curently Subject does not include 690.

Allow custom scopes for CDI records, for an "articles only" drop-down search profile
Currently, custom scopes that allow for setting conditions include only local data from Alma, and do not include any CDI records, even if blended with CDI. This means it is not possible to create a search profile with a custom data scope of with "Resource type: articles". Instead, in order to limit a search to only articles, the user must use the facets on the left-hand side of the page. I think this is a common search parameter that should ideally be available in the drop-down menu to the right of the search bar.

Users should be able to choose the length of the result page between 10 and 100 results per page
Users should be able to choose the length of the result page between 10 and 100 results per page according to predefined steps.
The option to do so should be available for unsigned users and should be persisted if a user is signed in.2 votes -
Customize the "View full text in collection" label in CDI
Primo VE shall allow the library to customize the "View full text in collection" label in full record display page under view it section. There are different kinds of "link text" displayed in CDI mode which makes our users very confused.

Possibility to disactivate related link to physical holding (based on ISSN) for articles
On Primo VE, when a CDI record contains an ISSN that matches physical holdings (ie. the catalog contains a physical version of the journal that contains this article), it will automatically add on this record a GetIt section with the related physical holdings.
Example:
This can be disturbing for the user (and even for librarians), as the get it section shown for this article record contains all the issues in the holding associated with the ISSN, and not only the one containing the article. When the library detains many items in the related physical holding, it doesn't help much…

Please add $b to the mapping of tags 100 & 700 to Primo VE facets
The mapping of Alma tags 100 and 700 to Primo VE facets includes only $a. $b contains for both tags the dynastic number of kings, popes and high nobility. Without the addition of $b it is impossible to distinguish for example the English kings $a Charles $b I and $a Charles $b II or popes $a John $b XXII and $a John $b XXIII
Therefor, we ask to add 100 $b and 700$b to facet values

Primo VE - Local Resource Type order to match Primo BO functionality
When defining Local Resource Types in Primo VE, there is no option to adjust the order that the rules are checked, unlike in Primo BO. Being able to define the order of rules can help arranging them from most specific to least specific.

Enable the addition of referencing style to the results list by email
In Summon, you can select the format of your results list before emailing it to yourself or another person. Eg. You want to view your search results in APA format, or AGLC, etc., and also have the link sent to you for each item in the list.
This functionality would be a great addition to Primo VE.

Add ability to select multiple options on Advanced Search drop down menus in Primo VE
It is not currently possible to select multiple options on an Advanced Search drop down menu is Primo VE (ex: Material Type, Language); this functionality would be very helpful for users who wish to do more precise searching -- especially since Primo VE lacks the functionality of combining search results. This functionality is the HTML select multiple attribute (https://www.w3schools.com/tags/att_select_multiple.asp)

No-contact pickup option for hold form.
Add a field to the hold form so patrons can indicate that they want no-contact / curbside pickup of their requested item instead of coming inside the location they selected. Allow it to default as checked.

Customize the Discipline Hierarchy for "Personalize Your Results"
We would like to customize the "Personalize Your Results" service in Primo UI in order to change the display and hierarchy of the existing disciplines. Currently, discipline labels can be customized, but not rearranged. However, depending on the country, history and traditions, institutions may have a very different approach towards disciplines and their hierarchy.
We have patrons who do not understand why ‘Physics’ does not belong to ‘Sciences’, why ‘Public Health’ is not under ‘Medicine’, etc. This request aims to give the customers the possibility to create their own hierarchy, not to create or merge disciplines nor to have any…25 votes -
Enable Public Notes display for content within Database-type collections
It would be very helpful if Public Notes could be displayed for individual content (articles, etc.) within Database-type collections. Currently, Public Notes for Database-type collections can only be placed on the record for the collection itself, and they are not displayed on individual content. So if a user searches for the name of the database (such as
ProQuest Congressional Hearings Digital Collection: Part A (1824-1979)) they can see the Public Note below the View Online link -- but if they search for an article held within that collection (such as Committee Business. Congressional Hearing, 1980-07-31), there is no public note…80 votes -
A-Z ejournals list
Would it be possible to re-instate the alphabetical groupings of eJournals that used to appear in Primo before Primo VE? This would be in addition to the subject groupings that we now have. The Subject groupings are great, but we have some customers who prefer to search through the alphabetical groupings that we used to have. If it could be something that could be incorporated, but have the ability to turn it off for those that don't want it on their Primo VE that would be great. Different people look for things in different ways and I think having both…

Collection Discovery tiles should display the pub dates of items
A pub date should appear on the tile even if there is no room for a long title and it would need to be abbreviated. Then, complete bibliographic citation information (at least title, author, publisher, date) should appear when the user mouses over the tile. Also, LC order to simulate a bookshelf browse would be nice.
Our plan is to use Collection Discovery to create collections of new and significant publications in the disciplines to encourage browsing. Providing just the book cover and title and not in LC order is limiting.

Import excel file to Journal Search Category labels
Journal Search Categories are possible to export as an excel file. It should also be possible to import the excel file, after editing it in excel. That possibility already exists for the Journal search labels. Why not for Journal Search Categories also?

Journal A-Z and Database A-Z functionality based on a campus scope.
On our current Primo we have Journal A-Z and Database A-Z functionality based on a campus scope. This is due to us having two Primo views - one for Cardiff University and one for NHS Wales. We share a catalogue but have created the ability for our users to search in Primo on a dedicated view depending on their affiliation; so that they receive search results only for items to which they have access. This split in search results includes the A-Z listings. And it is all based around a campus scope. We have been told that for our move…

Primo VE: Record elements tag field in file splitter of generic XML discovery import profiles to support X-Path
In discovery import profiles for Primo VE, generic XML profiles do not currently support X-Path within the Record elements tag of the file splitter.
This means that XML source files which contain a multi-layered structure within records are not accepted by Primo VE on import. The file then has to be manually transformed to remove the extra layer before importing.
For example, a XML file generated from one of our external systems pulls in data for some fields from additional tables to the bulk of the record, adding an extra layer to the record e.g.

Add Due Date/other Variables to Real Time Availability Status in Brief Records
November 2020 Primo VE release broadened the Availability Status messages in Brief Results. Our library would like to be able to further enhance the Status messages to include Due Dates, where applicable. Example: add date to Not available - Loan message, something along the lines of Not available - Checked out until {date}.
