  1. Modify message and add hyperlink in "Request" tab in search result

"Title Request Limit" is not be used in our library but misleading message "Patron has exceeded requests limit" is shown in result list "Request" tab of Primo after user logged in. As a result, we would like to modify the message and hyperlink that will be more user friendly. Hyperlink is not supported to add. We would like to change the message to 'Click "Holdings" to check "Request Options"' as well as "Holdings" is a hyperlink. Tab will be switch to "Holdings" tab after user click the link.

  2. cursor location after clearing search box

Choosing "new search" puts the cursor in the search box. But when I click on the small x to clear the search terms, I would like the cursor to return to the search box.

  3. Truncation within parenthesis

We would like Primo to work with searching with truncation even within parenthesis, like this:

    "soccer injur*"

    would return for example:

    soccer injury
    soccer injuries

  4. add a check box feature in the "Refine my Results" lists on the left column in each facet

The value of the faceted search is that it leads the searcher quickly and efficiently to the desired result. The checkbox facet type lets users select multiple values.
We would like to add a check box feature in the "Refine my Results" lists on the left column in each facet, as is already being done in the "More options" links therein. The reason for this request is that in our opinion, the user will notice from the beginning this option exists in the facet, and it will facilitate his search. Some users don't click "More options", and thus they will…

  5. Expand FRBR group of records within the search results

I suggest the ability to expand a FRBR group of records within the search results, rather than the "view multiple versions" link showing a new page of records, from which you have to go back to the original results, isn't a good user experience. This would work nicely with infinite scrolling in the new Primo UI.

It should be possible to set a threshold for the number of records in a FRBR group this should happen for, e.g. six because most of our FRBR groups are for up to six editions of a title, whereas others are for tens of…

  6. PCI to recognise the elements of a DOI to find the item

Errors in search results are likely to occur when users are searching for DOIs from citations. DOIs are often formatted differently in citations or online but the user will naturally just copy-paste the DOI as it appears. If the user searches for this 10.1016/j.acalib.2008.10.014 in Primo Central - you find the article. However if you search for http://dx.doi.org/10.1016/j.acalib.2008.10.014 as it might be displayed in a citation, the article is not found. Anything preceding the DOI registry number (including doi:10.1016 for eg) will not result in a successful search.

  8. Include "Browse Search" link on advanced search pages.

Right now the "browse search" link is offered on the basic simple search page, but not on the advanced search page. For libraries that primarily link to the advanced search page, that link is buried.

  9. Add link "Back to results list" on the e-Shelf

This is the use-case I want to improve:
A user is constructing complex queries and collecting some records.
From time to time she wants to check the e-Shelf and then continue skimming trough the results list.

¡There is no simple navigation path from the e-Shelf back to the results list!

    There are 2 less-than-ideal solutions:

1/ repeating the query from tab "This session's queries" (flaws: it is cumbersome to find the corresponding query and too much clicks are necessary)
2/ the back button of the browser (flaws: the yellow e-Shelf star icons are not up to date and too much…
