We have recently (January 2019) done some more usability testing on our instance of Primo and can confirm that students still can't even tell that a way to exclude facets exists, much less find out how to use it. We have only been using the new UI for 5 months, but even frequent users haven't stumbled across this functionality.

Michael Dunne, the fact that Justin has used 'My Favorites' in the title makes me think it is for the new UI. The mention of 'folders' is a direct quote from a student, who often don't use the same terminology that we would use as Primo administrators.

I think this is a good idea, but it's similar to another one in the system, so I've voted for https://ideas.exlibrisgroup.com/forums/308176-primo/suggestions/33060274-the-option-to-search-the-contents-of-my-collection

I have created a separate idea about allowing libraries to select which citation style is the default selection in the Citations dialogue: https://ideas.exlibrisgroup.com/forums/308176-primo/suggestions/36182233-allow-libraries-to-select-which-citation-style-is

I agree with Adam that being able to set a particular style as the default to show as selected in the Citations dialogue would be useful.
I wonder if the support for any Citation Style Language that's due with the February 2019 release will allow us to move to Cite them Right Harvard? It seems to be in teh CSL github as a style: https://github.com/citation-style-language/styles/blob/master/harvard-cite-them-right.csl

I wonder if the support for Citation Style Language which is due in the February 2019 release will allow us to set up Cite them Right Harvard style ourselves. It seems to be in the CSL github: https://github.com/citation-style-language/styles/blob/master/harvard-cite-them-right.csl
I agree that being able to set Harvard (or your style of choice) as the default selection in the Citations dialogue would be really helpful to our users.

We thought to suggest to have an additional physical material type which will be more granulare and customizable. This type you will map to existing type allowing to keep the statistics.

MS, that is the 'out of the box' default presentation of the filters, rather than a custom solution. It does clutter the interface less, but usability testing shows that it leads to most users never discovering that it's possible to filter by more than one filter in a facet group, or that it's possible to exclude filters. Therefore they are left with the impression that they can only filter by one resource type at a time, or one subject at a time, etc.
