We welcome your ideas for new content (metadata) to add to the Knowledge Bases (KBs - Alma CZ, SFX, 360) and Discovery services (CDI - Central Discovery Index whose data supports Primo and Summon).
- Check if your idea has already been posted and vote for it before posting a new idea.
- Choose the right category: "New Provider" for content from a provider that has no available content in the KBs or CDI, or "Existing Provider" for content from a provider that already has content available in the KBs or CDI.
- Add a direct link to the provider/resource you suggest, and a contact person if possible.
- For enrichment requests add the relevant collection ID(s).
- Make sure you mention any specific added value your idea has to the community such as language or supporting diversity.
- Did you find errors in an existing collection? please open a case.
- A new year has begun but no corresponding annual collection? post an idea in Idea Exchange, make sure to mention if it is an existing provider.
- Existing Provider - if your idea is for a new collection from a provider that already has content available in the KBs and CDI or enriching records for an existing collection, use this category. No voting is necessary, ideas for existing providers will be handled regardless of voting.
- New Providers - if your idea is for content from a provider that does not have any content available in the KBs and CDI, choose this category. The ideas for new providers will be annually prioritized via the CERV process.

EIU Viewpoint - Add content to CDI
There is an EIU Viewpoint database in Alma. Can you ask EIU for metadata to add reports, forecasts, etc. to CDI? Or add portfolios to the collection?

We will check with EIU regarding metadata for CDI or to add portfolios for a full text collection.
For CDI metadata we may need to setup an agreement, which can take time. And for a full text collection the records may not have enough metadata to be properly presented in the Knowledgebases.

Add Docuseek2 Complete Collection 4th Edition Alexander Street version to Alma CZ
Docuseek2 makes their films available both on their own Docuseek platform and on the Alexander Street platform. In general, they first make the films available on Docuseek, and then once they work out an agreement with Alexander Street, the films are added to Alexander Street as well. We heard from Docuseek2 that their 4th Edition collection is now available from Alexander Street. However, we don't see a CZ collection for the 4th Edition on Alexander Street. Add separate CDI collections for British Standards Institute (BSI) Modules
Please add separate CDI collections for the various subject modules they sell. Currently, there's only one CDI collection for the BSI Group platform: DBID: EOT. Libraries can subscribe to a subset of the standards so there needs to be CDI collections for all these subsets.

ASM Digital Library Conference Proceedings
Hello,
We recently subscribed to the ASM Digital Library's All Access model. There is an Alma database available for this collection (ID: 61585093310000041), but there doesn't appear to be any content included. There are no portfolios attached, and the DBID yields zero results in the CDI.
Would it be possible to update this collection to include CDI content? Alternatively, it would be helpful to have a collection available that includes the ASM conference proceedings:

EMBOpress
Hello,
Beginning this year, EMBO Journal ISSN 0261-4189, along with all other journals published by EMBOpress, left Wiley to Springer Nature. However, the journal is only published through cooperation with Springer Nature and not on the Springer Nature platform. Currently in ExLibris, there is no appropriate database for this journal. There are plenty of Wiley databases that remain. However, because this journal is no longer published through Wiley, I would rather not use those holdings. My question/idea is, can you please create a provider for EMBOpress, which would include EMBO Journal and all other journals published through EMBOpress?

Add CDI metadata to CZ records for Mintel collections
Community zone collections from Mintel are odd. All have CZ records, but only a few have corresponding CDI records. The CDI records duplicate the CZ records but with better metadata. An example is "Mintel Beauty and Personal Care: China" (ID: 613860000000000186; DBID:ACFGR) The CDI records are labeled "market research" and have a full description. The CZ records only contain a title. Mintel recently released Shibboleth functionality (and the CZ collections were updated accordingly), so I need to use the CZ records so the linking works. The CDI records are all "link in record," which only works with a proxy. So,…

The metadata Mintel provides is more suitable for CDI only, and although in previous years we have created collections with titles in the Kowledgebases, going forward we will only have the metadata presented in CDI.
Please let me know which collections do not have metadata in CDI either in a comment to this idea, or directly to me

Add journal 'Art + Auction' from Ebsco
The journal 'Art + Auction' is part of Ebsco's Art and Architecture Source, but because it's changed title and ISSN in the past, there is quite a bit of coverage that is not indexed in Primo, even though it's available on the platform.
ExLibris explained as follows:
"Art & Auction (ISSN 0197-1093) - covered up to 2013.
Blouin Art + Auction (ISSN 2331-5342) - started from 2014 onwards.

We do not receive discovery metadata from Ebsco.
In order to obtain such metadata, we will need to establish a workflow with a new provider - the publisher of Art + Auction.
