Include more search features in Leganto such as Subject Search, Sort by Newest, and more filter options that is available in Primo.
Leganto Search box is limited in comparison to Primo which means we need to do more complex searches in Primo and then import/export selected items, which is quite tedious with large and non-specific results. Please allow individual libraries to provide the option to add more Primo features such as filters, sort, and advanced Subject Search.

Ability to batch select and delete/copy/move citations in List sections (similar to Collections).
COLLECTION has a tick box feature that allows you to select multiple items to delete/import/export. In the List Sections, there is no such feature. For larger lists, it is cumbersome to delete/move/copy citations because it has to be done individually. It would be very useful to have the batch selection feature.

Fix Cite It! login redirect
When a user hits the Cite It! bookmarklet, if they are already logged into SSO, it works perfectly. However, if they aren't logged in, then hitting the Cite It! button lets them log in and takes them to Leganto. What it should do is capture the URL where they were when they first hit the bookmarklet, then login, then redirect back to the original page and open up the form to save the citation to a list or to the collection. This would make the use of the Cite It! button completely seamless for users.

Add semester and year as possible fields in the Find list advanced search
Find list settings allow librarians to customize the basic and advanced search interfaces in Leganto. However year and semester are not among the search fields to be chosen from. These are useful search criteria and we would like them to be added to the Find list setting table.

Multiple rollover
The rollover functionality is great and is used to reduce the workload for the staff.
We have encountered one issue. What we have seen is that the work on the establishing of the courses themselves in the course management system (external system) often takes a long time and there are changes throughout the year. That means that at the point where the library would like to perform the rollover there will only be a portion of the courses that are ready in the course system. This means that there are a need to perform a 2nd rollover at a later…

Allow multiple citation material types to be selected in questions and answers mapping table
When configuring the question and answer pop up feature, currently in the question mapping table only one citation material type can be selected per row.
Therefore, if you want the same question and answers pop up to appear for more than one citation, you need to duplicate the question on multiple rows for each citation type. Allowing multiple citation types to be selected per row would avoid this duplication.
For example, we have a pop up configured to appear for books, book chapter and DVD citations to ask instructors to tag them for importance (Core, Essential etc), which allows library…

Locked lists should be enabled for rollover and duplication in Leganto
At present when a reading list is locked it cannot be duplicated or rolled over by a user in Leganto.
We lock lists to preserve them in accordance with University policy on retention of learning materials at the end of each semester.
Instructors may want to go back to older lists to create new ones. To do so they have to contact the Library if they want to duplicate or rollover a list from a previous semester.Locking a list should only prevent that list from being changed. It should not prevent someone from using it to create a new…

Add "list ID" to searchable ids/All in Alma reading lists persistent search
It would be useful if reading list ID was searchable for "Reading lists" in the persistent search bar in Alma. Currently it is List code, but this is not important to many users, especially with leganto, and given that the list id is really the only pure list id you see in Leganto front end (address bar, permalink) it would assist with error checking, isolating oddities from analytics reporting, and being sure people have easy and consistent access to the right versions of materials between the front end and the back end. Going from Alma to Leganto the link uses…

Allow reports on reading lists without citations in Leganto analytics
We often produce reading lists (RL) for courses that only have syllabus selected by the student. These lists don't include any citations, but often have information essential to the students. Our problem is that we can't find a way to retrieve these RLs in analytics, together with RLs that include citations.
Gal Darom said in May 2019 (in the ListServ...), when I asked for help to find all RLs associated to courses:
The relation (data schema) between Courses -> Lists is done through the citations measure, and looks like that “Course -> Citations ->Lists”
The outcome of this relation explain…98 votesAvailable in September release.

Let the library choose to have "More item details" in Edit item, open as default
We would like to be able to choose to have the "More item details" (when editing a reference) open as default, instead of as a drop down choice like now.
This would make it easier for teachers to see which fields are possible to edit. This will not affect the Save-button, as it is fixed to the bottom.

Associate new reading list from inside course with that course
When a reading list is created from inside a course, it would help the instructor if the list would then automatically be associated with that course. Or at least be very easy to associate it with the course that the instructor is currently in.
At this moment, the instructor is inside a course in Leganto. Adds a new reading list. Has to associate that reading list to a course all over again, while the instructor is already there.
This is confusing for instructors.3 votesThis is resolved in the 2023 Leganto new user experience. When instructors begin in the LMS and create a new or additional list in Leganto, the list will be automatically associated with the course.

Library Physical Digitization Request Option to Attach File to Citation For Which It Was Requested
When using the Library Physical Digitization Request option to create a digitization process for a file for a Reading List, the file is delivered to the Requestor at the end of the workflow. This request is asking for another option: an option for Alma to automatically upload the file to the citation for which it was requested. This would save a lot of time spent used for file retrieval and file management and would prevent the file being uploaded on the wrong citation.

Citation Processing rules to use same Leganto real time availability merge rules for purchase requests
Hi,
Ideal Scenario:
We currently have a citation processing rule set to automatically trigger a purchase request, if a book has a particular tag, and there are no E versions of the P available in repository. If there is an E copy available then the purchase request should not be triggered. If no E version is available, but the citation meets all other parameters in that particular citation processing rule, then a purchase request should automatically be triggeredIssue:
The problem at the moment is that, Leganto is not relating our E version to our P, and so is still…139 votes -
Allow public notes to be copied when copying citations
Currently it is not possible to copy Public Notes when copying a citation using either the citation copy option from the item menu, OR when using the Bag it feature and copy option there.
It is possible, however, to copy Public Notes when rolling lists over in the Course Loader/Instructor Rollover.
It would be useful if it was possible to copy Public Notes for citations when copying citation in general - this could perhaps be a prompted option or a configurable one depending on whether the single or bulk selection of citation contains Public Notes.
No doubt the same could…3 votesAvailable in August release.

Improve access to Public Notes - allow editing from the Citation edit option
Public Notes (instructor notes on resources visible to list users) are treated oddly in Leganto compared to other reading list systems - that is they are not given equal status as other citation metadata fields in the Citation Edit form.
Public Notes are regularly used by Instructors to annotate or qualify resources; to comment on and direct students as to the quality, purpose, priority, and considerations of using certain resources, or parts of resources.
In that sense the Public Note should be accessible for editing when editing all other item metadata (such as chapter title etc.
Currently the Public note…

Citation menu options should be available from citation view
It would be helpful if there was more access to the citation menu options when viewing the citation in Leganto. Users should be able to Copy to my collection, Send to Library, Mark as Read, get LTI Direct Access, get a permalink and Set Complete.
Where this is a real problem however is for instructors who are using the Unlink LTI option on a citation from the LMS. To unlink, they follow the link to the citation, then have to know to go to the section to find the citation and its menu.
Ideally both unlink and relink should be…

API for course enrollment
In September (2019) there was added a job in Alma that makes it possible to enabe a link between a student and a course so that the user is associated with the course. More information: https://knowledge.exlibrisgroup.com/Leganto/Product_Documentation/Leganto_Online_Help_(English)/Leganto_Administration_Guide/Configuring_Leganto_Integration_Profiles/Configuring_Importing_Course_Enrollment_Jobs
We see that this may be an useful feature, but we think that it would be more useful to be able to create this link using API instead of a filebased internal job in Alma.
This would make it easier to make the updates in real-time and use a message queue-based architecture.
Could such API be added to the API-suite for Leganto/Alma?

Option to rescale the right (discussion) pane
at this moment you're able to expand the 'discussion panel' at the right in Leganto. However our instructors would like to be able to make this pane even smaller when working on their lists!
