Add Course year/course terms as a filter/display element into Find lists and My lists
As instructors, Learning technologists and library staff own, collaborate or work on many lists for many courses over time, it would be useful - as is found in many VLE/CMS/LMS systems, to have course reading lists which are able to be filtered by Year AND or term information where this is available.
For the greatest flexibility it would be useful to allow visual grouping AND discovery options of lists by Course year or Course Term with configuration available as to:-
i) whether to display course year groupings AND/OR Course Term in My Lists
ii) whether to display course year groupings AND/OR course term in Find lists searches,
It would also help potentially to avoid some of the confusion over "active" vs All courses in the Fins lists page which tends to force customers to 'widen' their active course dates ahead of term in order to have something viewable for pre-session reading by continuing students.

This is not in My Lists, only Find lists, so not strictly completed.

I should also mentioned that the Find List Settings has some slightly undocumented options - i.e.you can set the search defaults for publication and course status to be ALL rather than just active or inactive [publication doesn't appear for Instructors or students and only instructor owned drafts will appear], but I think this also helps a lot - and the Year and Term additions maybe will also improve this. Noticed this idea also referenced in Case #00792693 on Find List issues.
