Filter My Collection by citation type
Could a citation type filter be added to My Collection? This would help users to organise and find citations without having to rely on assigning individual tags.

Option to export a list sorted alphabetically (without sections and with unique citations)
With March Release it is now possible to sort citations within sections alphabetically before exporting the list to Word.
We would like an additional option: to export the reading list as if it was a reference list:
- sorted by author name according to the chosen reference style
- without section
- with unique references only (if a the same citation is used in two sections it just appear only once)Key fields to define if a citation is unique or not should be title and ISBN but also author and publication year in case there is no ISBN in…

Control order of list display for multiple lists associated with a course
For courses which have multiple lists, each of which may have a time focus, the display order of lists is not always as desired by the title sort alone, e.g. Week 1 vs Week 11. It would be useful to be able to control the order of list display when there are multiple lists.

Add instructors automatically using role in LTI launch request
A course can have a number of instructors teaching on it, and it might be difficult to keep the details of the instructors of courses and owners of reading lists up to date in Alma.
Rather than having to update these details manually, or pre-load them using the Course loading integration profile, I suggest that there is an option for the LTI Integration profile to automatically assign an instructor of a course and owner of the associated reading lists, if the user in the LTI launch request has a role of "instructor."
Even better if the Alma "Instructor" role could…

Add student level activity to Leganto reports
Academics would like to track student usage of Leganto reading lists as an indicator for students who are at risk of under-performing or dropping out of courses.
A way of identifying students who are not reading or participating on the Leganto list would be useful.32 votesAvailable in September release

Incorporate Blackboard Student View into LTI Integration
Currently, the Blackboard LTI integration does not allow instructors to use Student View to see reading lists from the student's perspective. (Doing so results in error: 400 Unknown user id.) Please allow the temporary student that is created in Blackboard to be created in Alma, thereby enabling Student View.

Allow LTI Integration to Pass Course ID from LMS and Create Course in Alma
Due to course merging, the Course ID in the LMS is not always obvious. Please allow the LTI integration to pass the Course ID from the LMS and automatically create the course in Alma. This would occur when the instructor adds/creates the LTI integration in the LMS and initiates the link. Of course, manual course creation on the library side should always be possible as well.

Send List button enhancement
In Q1 2019, we plan to have some modifications to the Leganto "send list" functionality.
SEND LIST button in Leganto will only be enabled when a change made to the list after the last time it was send for review. If no change made in the list, the send button will be disabled.
When SEND LIST is enabled and active, it will be more visible (i.e. animation) to attract the eye of the instructor.
As part of this enhancement, we plan to entirely separate the Send List to Library functionality from the Publish List functionality.
Currently, publishing a list also…20 votesDeveloped as part of the Leganto January release

Make a list complete automatically if all of the items on the list are complete
When processing a reading list, library staff set each individual item as complete as they arrive for the reserve shelf and are ready to be used. Library staff must then take an additional step to mark the entire list as complete, even though each individual item has already been marked as complete.
Currently functionality requires the reserves managers to find outstanding requests by reading list and not by outstanding citation when more than one person works on reserves. This results in a very time-intensive process for units who hold reserves on a large scale.
Desired functionality is to have the…

Add additional filtering options in Citations view
When working in Citations view, we frequently have the need to know which citations belong to which processing department in order to batch process citations. Currently functionality does now allow us to view citations by processing department. Therefore we must instead go into each reading list in order to investigate which citations are not yet marked as compete. It would be much more efficient to be able to filter on and view a complete list of citations that need attention.
We also use the term field to help differentiate courses. Neither the reading lists view nor the citations view allows…

When there are a lot of template to choose from, they should be automatically sorted alphabetically and /or the library should be able to sort and arrange them manually.

Define specific subject within the URL
We would like to build a page providing a list of Leganto reading lists for public access. The lists could include specific subject.
Currently, its not possible to define specific subject within the URL of find lists.
Suggested to create the public access link which only retrieve specific subject.

Disable or hide the integration with Facebook
Institutions should be left the choice to hide or disable the integration with Facebook.
Some institutions have for example a policy where they don't allow users to change their profile pictures, so the "Connect to facebook" feature is not welcome.

Make permalinks more available
At the moment if a member of staff, or a student, wishes to get a permalink to list they need to be logged in. I propose that permalinks are made accessible from the "three dot" menu even when people are not logged in. This will make finding lists and sharing information about them much easier.

Allow Cite It to work on a PDF open in browser
Cite It cannot be used to import details for an online PDF which is open in your browser window. Such items must be added manually in Leganto.
In Chrome, nothing happens when you click the bookmarklet from an open PDF. In Firefox, the CIte It popup window appears but is not populated with any citation details.
A Salesforce case about this was previously escalated to Ex Libris Product Management, but they have advised that it should be pursued as an enhancement request.

Avoid 'Multiple Resources Located' on resource locate for related records
If we have both print and ebook versions of a title then there will be two separate bibliographic records, both of which should have the alternate format ISBN added to the 020 $$z field (so that a relationship is formed).
Because both records have the same ISBN, the citation will display as 'Multiple Resources Located' if added via Cite It. This requires a member of library staff to manually intervene and select one of the records to Resource Locate. This is an unnecessary additional step, as availability for both related records should be shown in Leganto anyway.
Could Resource Locate…

Limit the approvals request list
It would greatly improve workflow to allow the staff processing the Approvals Request List to be able to limit the items in the list by the year, semester and request type (e.g. to weed out Patron Request types). This would let staff show just the items they are interested in, and eliminate all the noise of the old approvals.
Attached is an example of how we would like the Status filter to appear on the Approval Requests List.
3 votesWith the July 2023 release the approval task list can be filtered by status, course association and creation date range.

Retain permalinks after rollover
We would like a parameter that on rollover, the 'old' reading list will be associated with the new course, so that existing permalinks will not require updating.
We have not used the rollover function because we are concerned of the impact on the permalinks created by our instructors to lists, sections and citations in our new VLE.
