Enable students to filter the list so that they only see mandatory items
In many cases, a student is only interested in mandatory items. They should be able to see only these.

Filter is done on the citation’s tag and material tags plus free text tags (available to students)

Leganto has tagging functionality both on the citation and on the list's sections. Mandatory items can be Tagged to indicate both to the students and to the librarian that this citation is mandatory.
enhancing the reading list search to also search the tags labels will allow such functionality
further more, adding filtering capabilities will provide an enhanced solution.
