Idea: Add Gamification to Improve Engagement
One way to make Rosetta more engaging is by adding gamification features. For example, users could earn badges for completing frequent tasks, track their progress with visual milestones, or unlock small rewards when reaching specific usage goals. These elements can help turn repetitive workflows into something more motivating and enjoyable.
A good reference is the arcade Tunnel Rush Game. The game keeps players hooked with clear challenges, instant feedback, and a constant sense of progression. Applying similar design principles in Rosetta could encourage users to stay more active, explore more features, and achieve better results.

Enhanced Language Support & Customization Options
I’ve really enjoyed using Rosetta so far — it’s intuitive and well-structured. One improvement I’d love to see is broader language support, particularly for right-to-left (RTL) languages like Arabic or Hebrew, including proper alignment and typography adjustments.
Additionally, offering more customization options (e.g. UI themes, font scaling, or layout density settings) would go a long way in helping users tailor the experience to their preferences or accessibility needs.
Finally, a public roadmap or changelog would be helpful to keep users informed on what’s in development and which ideas are being considered. This could boost transparency and community engagement.

Improved User Dashboard and Progress Tracking
I would love to see an improved user dashboard in Rosetta that gives a clearer overview of my learning progress. A visual timeline, detailed stats on time spent, words/phrases learned, and areas needing improvement would help learners stay motivated and focused.
Additionally, integrating a feature that recommends review sessions or tailored exercises based on weak points would be extremely valuable. This could help users feel more guided and supported throughout their learning journey.
Thank you for continuously improving Rosetta! Looking forward to seeing how the platform Snow Rider evolves.1 vote -

Improve Engagement with More Interactive Tutorials
I think Rosetta could benefit from adding more interactive tutorials or guided demos, especially for new users. Sometimes written documentation feels overwhelming, but short, playful walkthroughs would make the learning curve much easier.
It’s a bit like how casual games introduce mechanics step by step — for example, in Sprunki Retake, the fun comes from experimenting and discovering things gradually. If Rosetta had something similar, it would feel less like ‘study’ and more like ‘play,’ which I believe would boost adoption and engagement.1 vote -

Add Bulk-Edit Functionality for User Records in Alma
Currently, Alma only allows editing user records one by one. This becomes very time-consuming when libraries need to update information for a large group of users (e.g., changing departments, status, or expiration dates).
I suggest adding a Bulk-Edit User Records feature, enabling administrators to select multiple records and apply the same changes to all. This functionality would:
Save significant time when managing hundreds or thousands of records.
Reduce the risk of manual errors during repetitive edits.
Improve overall efficiency and staff productivity.
The feature could work similarly to Bulk-Edit for inventory, with options to search, filter, and apply group changes…

The Cost of eCommerce App Development
The cost of eCommerce app development can vary widely depending on features, design, and platform choice. If you’re planning to develop an eCommerce app, it’s important to define your must-have functionalities first—like product catalog, payment gateways, and order tracking—before adding advanced features such as AI recommendations or AR try-ons.
For pricing, both fixed and hourly rates have pros and cons. Fixed rates give more clarity if your scope is well-defined, while hourly rates work better for projects that may evolve over time.
And yes, small businesses can absolutely get started! By building an MVP with essential features, you can launch…

Enhancing Focus and Clarity During Research and Study
Hi everyone,
When working on research projects or academic tasks, staying focused and maintaining clarity is crucial. Breaking complex topics into smaller sections and planning your workflow can significantly improve productivity and understanding.
In addition to structured research methods, many people find that incorporating spiritual mindfulness into their routine helps maintain calm and concentration. Reciting Surah Yaseen is one practice that can bring peace of mind and clarity, especially during intense study or work sessions.

Geometry Dash Is The Ideal Game To Train Your Reflexes
Geometry Dash is an excellent pick if you want games that are both amusing and hard in terms of reflex. This is a rhythm game in which you control the icon to overcome obstacles by jumping, flying, or spinning to the music's beat. Geometry Dash is distinguished by its bright geometric world design, vibrant visual effects, and fluid motions. As you progress through the game, the character accelerates up, making each challenge more tough. The greatest strength of geometry dash is the excellent synchronization between gameplay and music. Each jump is accompanied by a powerful electronic melody, creating an atmosphere…

Rosetta METS XSD update regarding multiple file IDs
We discovered that our original METS file lacked unique file IDs in the structMaps for the preservation master and modified master representations because of a mistake in one of our input files that generates the METS during a recent batch of deposits (for more information, see case 00477041 from the Getty). Just the same file ID from the access file representation was being repeated.
We verified against the Rosetta XSD both before and after deposit, and for some reason, this did not result in a METS validation mistake. But as a result, the structMaps with the duplicate file IDs did…

Additional input parameter for the rule: material flow
Rosetta's organization levels are restricted to consortium and institution, therefore we frequently have to incorporate items of many types and origins into a single institution. This presents issues since you wish to enable different extraction and/or file extension rules for different sources. The more permissive rules must currently be left off, the SIPs must fail and end up in the TA, the permissive rules must be enabled, the SIPs must be rerun, then they must be disabled.
This is a hassle and necessitates numerous manual fixes that are prone to mistakes and may affect concurrent ingests.
Setting up and maintaining…

give developer previews for Rosetta
Currently, ExLibris releases new Rosetta versions by announcing a rough release date ("April this year"), publishing the version, minor release, servicepack, or hotfix, and providing a list of changes. ExLibris will only provide a very basic roadmap of the anticipated improvements until the actual release. Customers find it difficult to get ready for the release, even if this is an easy strategy for ExLibris. In order to allow developers to modify their software (i.e., Submission Applications) to accommodate new features, altered API behavior, etc., I thus suggest that ExLibris offer pre-release versions of Rosetta. As has been a best practice…

Rosetta UX
I'm working with Rosetta 5.4 right now, and there are a few UX problems that would make the product much simpler to use.
The pull-down list has one of these. When creating a New Deposit Material flow, for instance, when I access the 'Select conent structure', the list that is displayed is in some type of order, but it is definitely not alphabetical. It would be beneficial if the pull-down menus were arranged accordingly.

Improve Search Function in the Submission Workflow – Add Filters for Faster Navigation
Hello everyone,
While working with Rosetta 5.4, I’ve noticed that the search function inside the Submission Workflow can sometimes be quite time-consuming. For example, when looking for a specific collection or material type, the current search only provides a long, flat list without enough filtering options. This forces users to scroll through dozens (sometimes hundreds) of entries before finding the right one.
A possible improvement could be the addition of filters or sorting options (e.g., alphabetical, date created, last modified, frequently used). This would save time for daily users and make the workflow smoother, especially in large institutions managing multiple…
