For searchable PDFs would like the viewer to have similar features as the viewer deployed by the British Library- http://access.bl.uk/item/viewer/ark:/81055/vdc_00000004216E#?c=0&m=0&s=0&cv=0&xywh=-2194%2C-163%2C6568%2C3244
Would like the search bar for be available and indication where the search word if located in the PDF
Download options would be driven by Entity Type4 votes
Version 7.0 JW Player, available in Rosetta version 6.0, provides download functionality - this functionality at this moment cannot be removed.
We have granted access to a number of materials using the access right function provided by Rosetta.
But if we provide the download feature, it's meaningless.
We're currently using Rosetta version 5.1 providing mp4 files, and are going to upgrade following upcoming Chrome Flash Removal policy. However, we are unable to upgrade because of this issue.
Please vote for the download selection option feature in version 7.0 JW player.1 vote
Currently the XSLs in "Administration" -> "Configuration files" -> "XSL Transforms" -> "Publishing" require hardcoded hostnames and ports (because hostnames and ports are required by links going out by OAI-PMH). This requirement means that we can't use the same XSL on both the STAGING and PROD but need to make changes between the two.
Hostname and port should be passed in as parameters to the XSL, so that these don't need to be changed.1 vote
ewould like the ability to add xywh parameters to teh IIIF Universal viewer URL -- this will allow us to highlight a specific part of a image -- would be useful for newspapers, etc1 vote
Looking at using the IIIF viewer for digitised manuscripts. Diaries and letters.
For this type of material we would like to create
1. multi-page tif (master)
2. multipage pdf (delivery)
When this material is displayed in the viewer we will by default like to display the multipage pdf.
For the download options we would like the ability for customers to
1. download the multipage pdf
2. download the current page(s) being displayed (PDF or TIF options)
3. full transcript4 votes
Require the option to allow ‘Print’ from the viewer.
Would like to configure the at least the following information as part of the ‘Print’ option
1. Descriptive metadata
2. Handle / PI identifier
For images would like to print the single image to fit across the page – this is relevant if printing in portrait or landscape mode
Allow image to scale according to paper size selected4 votes
Would like to configure the ‘Share’ option.
At this stage the only share options are
2. URL link
Would like to configure the ‘Share’ option to allow adding the following additional social media options
4. Various citation options such as RefWorks
As part of the share option we would like to configure what information is passed across. For example, for Twitter, SLQ would like to pass
1. Handle/PI information
4. Any appropriate hashtags4 votes
When selecting the download option would like to be able to configure the download file name.
Currently the file name is ‘default.jpg’
Would like to configure the download so that the download file name can use one of the following options
1. <dc:title> (maybe the first 30 characters); or
SLQ would prefer the <dc:title> option4 votes
now on IE viewer users/librarians have to print every single image files under one IE. I hope there is a print all/in part function.6 votes
Require the option to allow ‘email’ from the viewer.
Would like to configure the at least following information as part of the ‘email’ option
1. Descriptive metadata
2. Handle / PI identifier
3. URL to image
Allow the customer to enter
2. To email address
3. Their own email address
It may be useful to include a ‘captcha’ block to prevent misuse of this function.1 vote
When selecting a JPG file to download the following occurs
1. the file is downloaded
2. the file is then automatically rendered in the browser
3. the customer needs to ‘right mouse’ click and download from the browser.
The problem is that the download file is 600dpi but when it is rendered in the browser the browser resets the dpi to 96dpi.
Would prefer the option to ‘force browser to download image files’1 vote
Would like the ability to configure the download options to allow the download the Master Preservation Master1 vote
I've noticed that there is a lot of repeated information at the top of the General IE Viewer that pushes the meat of the viewer - the image or media content - down. It would be great to have this redesigned so that each of the options and information is not repeated. See the attached image or go to http://hdl.handle.net/10020/2004r10/job5251 to see an example.0 votes
I tested the new "Download all" function in the General IE Viewer and found that the original folder structure of the files within the representation is not preserved in the IE.zip, even if there is a logical structmap and the folder structure is displayed in the viewer. This is contrary to the IE Export where the original folder structure is kept in the REP.tar. It would be good to have the "download all" functionality modified. When a complex IEs with a hierarchical structure is downloaded through the viewer, the directory structury according to the structmap should be kept.13 votes
To create a full text searching capability, we are proposing a plugin that performs OCR on the files in Rosetta, and then makes that text output available via an API or other publishing mechanism, that can be read and indexed by an external CMS.36 votes
There is a way to have Primo index the full text of PDFs that are in Rosetta which can help a user find which Rosetta IE has a document containing their term/phrase but then once the user clicks through to the Rosetta viewer there is no way for the user to know where their search term appears. Having the search term come through to the viewer would be great, but that would only work when there are a few PDFs. For IEs that contain dozens of PDFs the user would have to open each one and search for their term. It would be great if there were a way to search the full-text of all files in an IE at once in the viewer.

As a researcher, I want to be able to understand the history of an IE including preservation actions.
As an admin, I want to be able to configure the system to display versions of a representation by EventType, so that a user can navigate between different versions of a preservation master or other rep5 votes
SLQ would like the ability to configure the following in the ExL supplied IIIF Universal Viewer
Print option – currently hidden in the default view - currebtly would like to configur how th pint out appears
Bookmark - currently hidden in the default view
Feedback - currently hidden in the default view – we see this as an option to allow ustomers to provide feedback on teh displayed image such as correctins and.or additional information
Share Option – we would like the ability to configure additinal 'share' features such as FaceBook, Twitter, HistoryPin, etc2 votes
For IEs that have both a physical and a logical structure map, we would like to be able to globally change the default logical and physical structure map labels for Preservation Master in the Rosetta Back Office.
