I’ve Played Agar.io for Years — But I Just Realized I Don’t Understand It
I’ve spent countless hours splitting, dodging, and Agario absorbing blobs, chasing that sweet moment when your cell becomes the biggest on the board. And yeah, I’ve had my share of wins, epic fails, and those weird silent alliances we all pretend aren’t happening (you know what I mean 👀).
But here's the thing — after all this time, I realized:
I don’t actually understand the mechanics.Like:
How exactly does mass transfer work between teammates?
Is there a best time to split for max gain?
Why does it feel like some cells glide smoother or react faster?
And what’s really…

Scalability Concerns with Normalization of Large File Batches in Rosetta
Is there a plan to improve the scalability and performance of the normalization processes in Rosetta when ingesting large batches of files (e.g., 50,000+ TIFF images Geometry Dash Lite)? We are experiencing significant slowdowns during SIP processing and would like to know if any optimizations are being considered for future releases.

Beyond the Buzzer: Mastering the Chaos of Basket Random and the Art of Store Management
Ever feel like managing a store is a game of chance, a hilarious juggling act of customer demands, staffing shortages, and unpredictable trends? If so, you might find solace (and surprisingly useful skills) in a game like basket random . No, really! While seemingly unrelated, both involve quick thinking, adapting to ever-changing conditions, and celebrating small victories amidst the chaos.
This isn't your average basketball sim. Basket Random strips the sport down to its most absurd and unpredictable essence. Forget complex strategies and meticulously planned plays; this game is all about embracing the ridiculous and making the best of whatever…

I have a idea for that
One way Rosetta could improve is by adding more interactive, lightweight practice modules. Learning a new language feels easier when combined with casual play and quick challenges. For example, I often use small puzzle games during breaks on sites like https://blockblast.dev, and it really helps me refresh while still keeping my brain active. If Rosetta could incorporate short, game-like activities in between lessons, it would make the learning flow more engaging and fun.

Improve Search Function in the Submission Workflow – Add Filters for Faster Navigation
Hello everyone,
While working with Rosetta 5.4, I’ve noticed that the search function inside the Submission Workflow can sometimes be quite time-consuming. For example, when looking for a specific collection or material type, the current search only provides a long, flat list without enough filtering options. This forces users to scroll through dozens (sometimes hundreds) of entries before finding the right one.
A possible improvement could be the addition of filters or sorting options (e.g., alphabetical, date created, last modified, frequently used). This would save time for daily users and make the workflow smoother, especially in large institutions managing multiple…

Rosetta UX
I'm working with Rosetta 5.4 right now, and there are a few UX problems that would make the product much simpler to use.
The pull-down list has one of these. When creating a New Deposit Material flow, for instance, when I access the 'Select conent structure', the list that is displayed is in some type of order, but it is definitely not alphabetical. It would be beneficial if the pull-down menus were arranged accordingly.

give developer previews for Rosetta
Currently, ExLibris releases new Rosetta versions by announcing a rough release date ("April this year"), publishing the version, minor release, servicepack, or hotfix, and providing a list of changes. ExLibris will only provide a very basic roadmap of the anticipated improvements until the actual release. Customers find it difficult to get ready for the release, even if this is an easy strategy for ExLibris. In order to allow developers to modify their software (i.e., Submission Applications) to accommodate new features, altered API behavior, etc., I thus suggest that ExLibris offer pre-release versions of Rosetta. As has been a best practice…

Additional input parameter for the rule: material flow
Rosetta's organization levels are restricted to consortium and institution, therefore we frequently have to incorporate items of many types and origins into a single institution. This presents issues since you wish to enable different extraction and/or file extension rules for different sources. The more permissive rules must currently be left off, the SIPs must fail and end up in the TA, the permissive rules must be enabled, the SIPs must be rerun, then they must be disabled.
This is a hassle and necessitates numerous manual fixes that are prone to mistakes and may affect concurrent ingests.

Rosetta METS XSD update regarding multiple file IDs
We discovered that our original METS file lacked unique file IDs in the structMaps for the preservation master and modified master representations because of a mistake in one of our input files that generates the METS during a recent batch of deposits (for more information, see case 00477041 from the Getty). Just the same file ID from the access file representation was being repeated.
We verified against the Rosetta XSD both before and after deposit, and for some reason, this did not result in a METS validation mistake. But as a result, the structMaps with the duplicate file IDs did…
