Preferred record for dedup and frbr to also apply to list of versions
Following the implementation of an earlier idea exchange item that Primo VE should allow to set the preferred record for dedup and frbr records, we would also like this setting to be used for records that you get when viewing the list of versions.
What we are seeing is that only the top level in the brief results applies these settings, but when you go into list of versions to find a specific edition, you then might be presented with either record as the preferred record if you hold both e and print for this edition.
This is what ExLIbris said when we queried this behaviour: "I could see the scenario you described;
The expected behavior of the preferred record presented in Primo for dedup/frbr group records is to be shown in in the brief results page. As far as I could see, this is the behavior right now. It doesn't affect the order of records in the See All Versions page."
This has knock-on effects to other areas, e.g. we need the MMS ID of the E record displayed in order for our reading list system to create the link to fulltext automatically.
