Author/Subjects that include dates
Some authors have the same names so we want to include the date field ($d) in the search when users click on their links within full records. However, we have learned that Ex Libris has hard-coded a facet search into the $$Q, thereby killing this option because you get 0 results (since the facet search includes the date). This is currently not configurable, but is a huge problem for us. Here is an example:
https://catalog.library.vanderbilt.edu/discovery/fulldisplay?docid=alma991043557451103276&context=L&vid=01VAN_INST:vanui&lang=en&search_scope=MyInst_and_CI&adaptor=Local%20Search%20Engine&tab=Everything&query=any,contains,Harry%20Potter&offset=0
Click on the creator "Potter, Harry, 1954- author."
Gives 0 results, with a facet of "Potter, Harry, 1954-"
Remove the facet and it automatically conducts another search, giving you 4 results.
Libraries should be given the option to either enable this or not (in our case, we would disable the automatic facet search).

I agree that you should have the ability to configure this, just as Primo Back Office does.
Did Ex Libris ask you to submit this entry though, as it seems to me there might be a bug here?
The search initiates on Potter, Harry, 1954- even though the $$Q is without the date:
<creator>Potter, Harry, 1954- author.$$QPotter, Harry</creator>
And then the search fails to match with the facet term, even though the search data appears to be the same as the facet in UI, but is different in the underlying data:
<search><creator>Potter, Harry, 1954- author.</creator>
<facet_creatorcontrib>Potter, Harry,</facet_creatorcontrib>
